Lumina Church: From An Assassin To A Nun

It's almost midnight now, but the Adventurer Guild is still rowdy as ever even though it's the time to go to sleep. Alcohol smell permeated the air as happiness, depression, excitement, and dreams combine into one. This is the place where many adventurers gather after they have finished their job, the Adventure Bar.

The rowdy atmosphere of this establishment always lasted until everyone gone home. But today, every one of them, including the drunkard become silent as they saw two women entered the Adventurer Bar.

One of the women is unfamiliar to them, but looking at her clothes, they assume she's a sister from a church, but from what religion is unknown to them. The other woman is the opposite because all of them know who she is just by seeing her face once.

"Supervisor."

One of the drunk adventurers sobered up in an instant when he saw Supervisor of the Adventurer Guild graces them with her presence. Supervisor coming here means that there's an urgent quest need to be done by the adventurer. While the reward is usually so-so, the reputation gained will be significant for his adventurer team, which makes him stand ready even though his head is hurting because of alcohol.

The other member also comes to realize that it's not a hallucination, stand up straight and look at the supervisor because they didn't want to waste this chance! As for those who're so drunk that they're asleep right now…they can only say that they're unlucky.

Although the alcohol makes them want to sleep, they're after all adventurers. As long as they want to resist it, they'll be able to resist it and stand up straight as if they aren't drunk. Although some of them are wobbly, their friends beside them will support them to not be a disgrace in front of the supervisor.

The supervisor's face is grave, while the face of the girl beside her is still calm and collected as if no ripple can move her hearts. Both of them walk into the center of the pub, and the woman beside the supervisor without saying any words immediately chanted a spell.

「Enchant Magic 10x!」「Pure Smog!」

A big cloud immediately appears in the middle of the Adventurer Guild and entered each and every people inside Adventurer Guild while some of the smog go outside and up the buildings. Some adventurers immediately brandish their weapon because they didn't know the situation, and slash at the cloud, but it did nothing as the cloud got inside their body easily and then comes out from their bodies with a darker color.

They didn't know what happened but soon notices that they're not as dizzy as they're before. In fact, they didn't feel any traces of alcohol and felt healthier than ever.

The nun becomes tired as soon as she used up her mana to use that magic, but soon took out a blue potion out of her pocket and drank it all. Adventurers who saw her use the potion without hesitation becomes surprised after all that potion is high mana potion that amounts to 1 gold per bottle!

That mana potion which is only used if the situation is dire, turn into an expandable item in the hands of the nun. Some of them feel it's a waste, but some look at it differently…because using that kind of potion without any hesitation mean what they need to do soon is dire, and they need to do it as fast as they can.

Adventurers who once sleep because of alcohol or sleepiness wakes up one after another, looking confusedly at the other adventurer teams and his or her own teammate. Their teammate who's around them, seeing they're waking up, explain the situation immediately, makes all of the adventurers who just awake, stand together with them and wait for the announcement.

None of the adventurers here is drunk or sleepy anymore, all of them are sobered up and wait for the Supervisor to start. Although they didn't know what magic that goes inside their body is, they at least know that magic is used to take the alcohol poison from inside their body, which let them feel energetic than before.

"It seems that everyone is awake…then, I'll start."

Although the supervisor is surprised by the magic used by the nun beside her, she didn't waste times at all and start to explains the whole situation to the adventurers.

"As all of you know, 11 years ago, civil wars keep happening in Calmarosh Kingdom where the nobles try to prevent Humanity Church to take control over the Kingdom. While civil wars happened, neighboring kingdom also come to attack, and that war goes on for a year long. Although we defended this nation, big sacrifice is apparent, and as you know, some rat has luckily infiltrated our city and starts to pollute it from the inside. We have killed most of the rats by now, but some will still exist undetected...and today, we Adventurer Guild, are notified for one of the rat presence, and what will happen a few years from now if we didn't find it. For clearer information, I'll let Sister Villia explain it for all of you…"

"Goddess bless you... Supervisor Flor." Villia nod at Supervisor Flor, which is Guild Leader Fiore in human form and turned toward the other adventurer. "Do any of you know of Plague God?"

Villia question makes everyone confused at first, but those who noticed start sweating when they heard that name. They're afraid that their guest is right, but... if it's right then…

"The Plague God cult is here…?"

One of the adventurers asks with a worried look. He hoped that he's wrong. He wished that no such cult has arrived in this city. But that hope crumbled in an instant after he heard the sister words.

"Some of you may not know about Plague God…but… The Plague God that spread plague all around the world, the nameless and genderless God who wish to make everyone in the world, except his cult member sick, one of the Dark God that has existed since ancient times. As for your question, I can certainly answer with…yes, they're here."

Shock and fear appear in each of the adventurers who have known or even fight the Plague God cult member before, while the rest who didn't know much about Plague God start to become serious too after seeing some veteran adventurer faces turned graves.

"At first, I don't know why my Goddess asks me to come to this city. I wander to find the purpose of this trip and stumble upon a group of thugs that attempted to r*pe a woman at her house. After I help the woman, I saw her daughter who is lying on the bed, unable to move like a normal child. Since I am in the area, I inspect the girl condition and found out her sickness comes from 7 years plague of the Plague God."

After the adventurers know the enemies, Villia starts to tell why she's here, about the 7 years plague, about the victim children, about the culprit who hides in every corner of Variesz city, and about their method in spreading it which cause most of the adventurer to gnash their teeth in anger.

"I didn't find out about the enemy strength, but I hope you will express cautious in your steps. The plague god followers usually use poison magic if they're a priest, and use assassination if they're a protector. That's why poison will most likely be the hardest hurdle at this quest, but no worries as I have planted the white smog earlier in your body, which will prevent poison going inside your body for around 5 minutes. This is certainly a dangerous quest and some of you may die, that's why I'll understand if some of you want to back out. If any of you want to join, please raise your hands. But I will remind you that, although there are only 8 of them, they might recruit guards or summon a monster to protect them, I hope all of you are wary of that."

"Hahaha…why didn't you invite this old man when there's an interesting quest today, Supervisor?" An old man immediately enters the Adventurer Guild with a laugh as soon as Villia finished talking, together with his adventurer team.

"Tharen!? Isn't he and his team the Old Beast in the Capital? Why is he here!?" One of the adventurers exclaimed when he saw the Old man with platinum armor enter the Guild with his teammate.

"Really now…you should invite us today you know…what we do earlier isn't boils me after all…" A flashy adventurer jump straight from the second floor of the Guild to the first floor, while the rest of his team looks at him as if they're looking at an idiot and sigh as they think why did they teamed up and make him a leader again?

"Charlison…the leader of Freedom…! Why is he here too!?"

"Well…well…what is it…I have seen your face today, and I have seen it again today, is it my good luck or my bad luck…*sigh* what a tiring day…" Another adventurer, unlike Charlison, comes down from the stairs with his team and shook his head and look at the sky. "Mavieli…why don't you come down? You're up there right?"

"Hmph…Shut up Filant. I'll kill you."

A group of black-clothed girls comes down from the ceiling after they replied, land in front of Supervisor Flor and kneeled at her faithfully.

"I apologize mistress, but I felt that we need their strength and asked them to comes here secretly. We Specters are ready for punishments but we Specters will accept your commands."

"Filant the leader of Fallen Paladin and Mavieli the leader of Specters! The three A-ranked and one S-ranked adventurer team is here together tonight!? Can we even get the quest now?" Some of the adventurers wonder whether they're able to get any spoils after the appearances of the Top Adventurer Team in Calmarosh Theocracy

"I accept your apology Mavieli...*sigh* But, you guys should rest you know…especially you, Tharen, you're not young anymore…the rest is the same for Thomas, Jalica, and Regira! I know you're Old Beast but your Old Beast isn't that kind of Old Beast right?" Supervisor Flor said with a sigh, while Tharen and his teammate smile and heartily laugh as soon as they heard her words.

"We might become a real Old Beast at this rate. Not that I mind it."

"Although it's been 40 years since then, we have truly turned into an Old Beast…time sure flies…"

"Hahaha, we should enjoy life to the fullest, don't you think so? Supervisor?"

"You get it, Supervisor…We Old Beast will join this quest."Tharen and his teammate declare proudly with seriousness unlike before which makes Supervisor Flor sigh.

"If even an Old Beast like them can join, then we will be able to join too. We Freedom will join this quest." Charlison elegantly bows as he declares, together with his teammate who just go down from the stair.

"It's not like we have anything to do…we Fallen Knights will join this quest." Filant and his teammate declare.

"Don't forget us mistress…we are your swords and shields that only exist to serve you. We Specters will join this quest."
