Magical Girl Hero

“If Mokyu had made it into a mansion from the beginning, Mokyu wouldn’t have had to go through all that trouble kyu.”

“I’m sorry okay. While I was thinking about it, I came to want a lot of things.”


We decided on a large library as the form of our secret base, but if we were going to build it anyway, I wanted a bathroom and a bedroom. I think practicality is very important. I don’t want a secret base as a research facility, and I don’t need to wait for enemies in a fortress. I have learned that a comfortable space for people to spend time is the same whether it is a secret base or an ordinary house.


“It’s taken shape to some extent, so Mokyu’ll start explaining it kyu. First of all, Mokyu’ll set up a Gate to go to the secret base kyu. Roze can enter and exit this Gate freely, so for now, it’s good to set it up at home kyu.”

“I don’t really know what a Gate is yet, but is it safe to install it in a rented house?”


When I hear the word Gate, I think of something like a door or a gate, but I wonder if it’s okay to install it in this house. The size is not the same, and the layout is likely to be messy.

I’m are not thinking of moving at the moment, but since I’m renting, I don’t know when I will move away. If we leave the gate behind then, the next person who enters will notice the existence of the secret base.

No, I personally quite like that kind of extraordinary way of entering, but I can’t take the risk of being revealed as a hero. It’s fun to watch it, but it’s NG to as a character involved in it.


“There’s another Gate that can be used, and that’s a portable gate that can be called from a mobile phone kyu. This portable gate can be deployed anytime, anywhere, but it’s a one-way street with only an entrance kyu. So, when Roze uses the exit, you have to exit from the one installed in the house kyu. On the other hand, no matter how far away Roze accesses the secret base from, you can use the exit to return home immediately, so I think you can use it as a warp to return home kyu.”

“Can you go to a secret base from anywhere? Could it be that normal magical girls are returning like that?”

I feel like an idiot for jumping and running all the way back home. Still, I can’t help wishing there had been a gate when I went home from the department store. It is too far from West Ward to East Ward.


“Yeah, I got it for the general idea. More importantly hurry up and show me the secret base.”

“You’re too impatient kyu. For the time being, use that closet as a gate kyu.”


The door of the closet shines when Mokyu points my cell phone at the door of the closet. When the light subsides, the door remains unchanged, but my senses is telling that something is different.


“Now this door has changed into a gate that allows you to go back and forth to the secret base kyu. You can hide it by operating the app, so just familiarize yourself with it kyu.”

“Yes~. Then let’s go in right away.”


I grab the handle and open the door.

The books that were originally there are no longer visible, and the space that used to be a small closet is no longer there, now it’s a wide, wide library.


The entire library is circular in shape, and the ceiling is so high, it seems to be five or six stories high. The entire center of the library is a atrium with a little dark light coming in from the top. The bookshelves on the walls are already filled with books, all of which must be magic books. The book I want to pick up appeared in my hand, and when I try to return it, it goes back there on its own.


“It’s like a magic library.”

“Well, it’s definitely a magic library kyu. All the magic books that Roze bought indiscriminately are in storage kyu. If Roze search for the book you want from the tablet in the center, and it will appear on its own kyu.”


There is no librarian, but I wonder if the magic is making up for it all. The sight of books flying away on their own and settling in as if they had their own will is probably the most representative of the world of magic.

There is even a fireplace, but what about fire in a place where there are books? I don’t know if it’s worth my while to apply my common sense to the magical world, but….


“S, so, where’s the hidden room?”

“Mokyu made one over there kyu. Well, don’t get your hopes up kyu.”


In the direction where Mokyu pointed its arm, there is a space for talking and reading books, and several rectangular desks are lined up in a row.

Unable to contain my curiosity, I pull out the book, and the bookshelf begins to move, revealing a hidden room.


“Oh! That’s right, I wanted something like this!”

“Kyu. Well, even though it’s a hidden room, the inside is a normal room. There is a bath and a bedroom kyu.”

“It’s all right. The fact that there is a hidden room is what is important.”


When I go inside to check inside, there’s a large room. There is a huge bed, a desk and a sofa just like in my room, and a door on the wall that led to the next room. The bed and blankets are fluffy and soft, and the sofa looks like so comfortable that it’s going to ruin me if I sit on it.

All of them are obviously high-end furniture, but if it’s an order from the store, it makes sense. There are only luxury goods there.

I checked beyond the door I was interested in and found it to be a bath and there was a bathtub that was clearly larger than the room. The hot water is already running, and the steam rises and invites me to enter it quickly.


“Mokyu. It’s too big, isn’t it?”

“Kyu. Since we’re going to made then just made a big one. It’s the best one that magically blows away your tiredness kyu.”


No, I like taking a bath, so it’s fine. But I don’t think a bath that is good enough to swim in is something that should be used privately. I don’t think I’ll be able to live in a rented house once I’m in and out of here. I might even have to cancel my contract.

At any rate, I shake off the temptation from the steam, leave the bath behind, and close the hidden room to have dinner because I’m getting hungry. I don’t feel like eating in the quirky library, so I return to the door I came in through to go home.


“I had a lot of fun today, and I’ll have the rest of the fun for next time. Let’s have dinner, Mokyu.”

“Are you going home for now kyu?”

“Yeah. Let’s not eat and drink in the library. No one will get angry, but just somehow.”

“Next time, Mokyu will make a space for eating and drinking kyu.”


I was able to fully enjoy the secret base, so that’s enough for today.

But let’s not forget the bath.








“Roze, why are you wearing glasses?”

“Hmm? I thought it would make me look like a librarian.”


After relaxing in the oversized bath, I decided to read a book in the library. I feel like the humidity and the library are the worst compatibility, the moment there is a fireplace it would be tactless to tsukomi it.

I put on the negligee I had bought at the department store the other day, dried my long hair, and had Mokyu braid my hair, and as I was reading, Mokyu asked me about my glasses.

I don’t have bad eyesight, and of course I don’t wear glasses or contacts. However, I thought that glasses would be a must for a librarian. So, I ordered a pair of glasses from the app. They are not glasses with power, but simple oval glasses can be an item that accentuates a soft atmosphere. Besides, I look cute with glasses on. I checked in the mirror, but I didn’t think it would look this good on me. I might as well wear glasses from now on.

I know that magical girls wear pretty clothes with frills and ribbons, but I’ve never seen a girl with a triangular hat. And there are few girls with wands, and I understand that the template image doesn’t work.

But I still think that a magical girl should be wearing a triangular hat and a wand. I think that’s what they look like. Even the librarian is a kind older lady with braids and glasses.


“Roze’s image is too much ahead of the time kyu. Roze needs to see reality kyu.”

“Isn’t it fine to have a dream! I’m properly looking at the reality!”


It’s okay to dream about ideals. It’s a habit I’ve had since I was a young.

Ignoring Mokyu’s exasperated gaze, I proceeded to read the book. I bought this book on magic from an app, and it not only describes the different types of magic and how to use them, but also the origins of the technology and how it works.

It was like a thesis, and it was too difficult for me to understand even a glimpse of it, I wonder if this kind of thing should be open to the public.

If it’s only between the fairies, then it’s fine, and I’ve already confirmed it but. No, certainly if you can’t understand it, it means nothing, but.

I was grateful for the kind words. I’m sure you’re doing something amazing, but I don’t know how amazing it is, so even if you boast about it, I don’t know what to say. Even though I think that the development of technology might accelerate in a flash if mankind obtains it, I have no intention of telling it or handing over the book to anyone.

I’m a hero because I have powers that humans don’t have, and I won’t throw away that advantage. Even if it’s for the sake of humanity, my own sake is the top priority.

However, a book that describes the technique of using this magic stone as a weapon might be interesting. I can’t quite understand the details, but maybe a smart person can.


“Mokyu. Is it possible for humans to reach the magical technology created by the fairies?”

“Well, Mokyu doesn’t think it’s impossible kyu. However, what mokyus have created is something that has been built up over a long period of time and through repeated failures kyu. Even with all these materials and results in sight, it’s not something that can be reached so easily kyu.”


Mokyu said proudly while looking around the library. I followed his gaze, and the numerous stacks of books laid out like a deep vertical hole represent the long history of the fairies’ research. Certainly, it will not be an overnight task to understand all this volume and put it to practical use.

Perhaps it is still too early for human beings to get involved in something as unknown as magic.


“If human can extract energy from magic stones, they might be able to do something about to the extent of some of Roze’s books kyu. Other than that, they have to learn how to handle magic power, so they still will have a long way to go kyu.”

“Hmmm.”


Then the magic stone might be able to help mankind and magical girls a little.

As I’m happily chatting with Mokyu about fairies who have a solid enough side to compile their research into a book, my magic cell phone begins to emit a roaring alarm that I’ve never heard before.
