-This damned ritual totally messed up the energy flow in this place. We can barely feel any other dimensional energy other than darkness energy. We can't even display 20% of our strength here in mystic arts and also can't use our physical prowess.

Said Marcus gritting his teeth as his vitality continued to flow out.

-Let's try a fusion spell.

Winston proposed.

-It won't work. Anything other than darkness element is going to be absorbed by that relic and converted into darkness energy. There is only one way left to fight her.

Suddenly said the Ancient One. Winston sighed hearing that. He got up started to do hand sign in a steady pace, after 2 or 3 seconds later Marcus started to do the same. When the ancient one saw the spell diagram and felt the energy flow, she became stupefied. The brothers were crazily absorbing darkness element in the surroundings available. Normally one would have to contract Dormamu to use darkness energy as most of it originates from dark dimension. He would limit the amount and decrease the intensity for user, so that the contractor wouldn't loose his or her mind then and there and turn into a living mummy. Drawing it in its raw form makes one's mind highly susceptible to corruption. She hurried said,

-Stop, you haven't gone through the ritual to contract Dormamu, you will loose your sanity just like her if you draw in darkness energy as it is.

-You said it is the only way left to fight her, didn't you?

-I did, but I was not pointing at you I was pointing at myself.

-No worries, we just have to make sure to not take in the energy into our astral body.

Said Marcus continuing to cast a four fold spell.

-But that would push the residual energy into your physical body. Darkness is poison to your body which absorbs light.

The ancient one said pleading. Winston answered,

-We will alright after 1 or 2 days of meditation under sun. Right now, stopping her is the priority, and you are in no condition to fight her, teacher. That leaves us to do the heavy lifting. Just watch the show, okay?

Saying up to that point, Winston finished his four fold blood red array. He then deployed the array which enveloped all of them. At that moment Marcus also finished his spell which then enveloped the whole observatory. Right at that moment, the couldn't absorb any more darkness energy from the darkness swirl in the sky. She looked at the twin brothers and asked,

-What did you do? Why can't I absorb any more energy?

Marcus answered with a faint smile,

-I just used space lock down spell. No energy is going to going in or out of this place now.

-Why are you still alive? You should be drained of your vitality by now!

Just as the witch was about to check the three spell array responsible for s.u.c.k.i.n.g they dry, Winston said,

-Don't bother checking them, they are working just fine. It's just, they don't recognize us as targets anymore. I changed our energy existence into darkness beings. Let us start our round 2 then.

The witch gritted her teeth and said,

-I am going to kill you all in the name of Malekith the accursed.

Both Marcus' and Winston's face contorted hearing that name at this point of time. They shouldn't even come out of their hibernation at this point of time as convergence is yet few years away.

The cloaked woman started to black energy beam towards them but all of them were stopped by energy shields of Marcus or Winston. They fought back with spells of their own, visibly over five time stronger. Most importantly they stopped being vanished when nearing the cloaked woman as this time all spells are fueled with darkness energy and thus cannot be absorbed by the dark scepter. The cloaked woman evaded fireballs and ice lances with great difficulty but at last a electric bolt hit her square in the c.h.e.s.t, charring her cloak and skin black. She was also shot about 10 meters. She was no match for the brothers even though she had a lot bigger energy reserve. There was a clear difference in skill.

As she was shot off and thus moved away from the spell diagram drawn on the floor for the ritual, the darkness cloud swirl in the sky, started to vanish.

-Curse you, curse you all. I shall have my revenge. Mark my word.

Saying that she blasted a whole though a nearest wall and tried to flee through it. She didn't try to open a portal as she knows the space is under lock down and she won't able to open a portal. But just as she was about to go through it, it closed down in swirling pattern. She heard a voice coming from behind.

-How can you leave us behind without letting you entertain you properly? We are gentlemen you know.

Said Winston smiling. The witch just g.r.o.a.n.e.d in anger and tried to wave her staff but was stopped midway as her hand was suddenly bound by a nearby iron rod like a snake. Winston was manipulating matter in the physical world with ease now that the pull to his astral body is no more and she could use normal dimensional energy again. He couldn't do such with darkness energy without corrupting his astral body.

Before the witch could move again, her all limbs were bound by steel rods nearby. Winston originally wanted to bind her in a l.e.w.d fashion but discarded the thought after thinking their current physical age and also the woman is still dangerous. Playing around may bring unwanted outcome. After fully binding her, all three of them went near her. The Ancient One took the dark scepter from her hand which she was holding tightly. After inspecting it for a while she said pointing a black stone embedded at the scepter ,

-The scepter seems to be augmented by another relic, heart of dark devourer. That is how the scepter became so strong and it was able to absorb physical energy to this extent. Tell us child, where did you find the heart of the dark devourer. We may be able to cure you of your corruption.

Hearing that the witch started to laugh maniacally again and said,

-You think you have won. Ha ha ha how foolish. When the Malekith the accursed descends upon the universe, true glory will return. Ha ha ha .

At this point black smoke started to come out of her skin and it started to gush out like fountain out of her orifices of head.

-Not good, she is going to detonate herself.

Shouting Marcus conjured a shield spell enveloping them, and Winston conjured another shield under that. A huge blast totally blasted away the surrounding and due to the shock wave the whole observatory collapsed.
