The priest nodded in consent to what Fan Tiffany requested, smiling warmly at the couple for the love he thought they had for each other. Facing the congregation of well wishers, the priest then said, "Dearly beloved, the couple would like to make a special request regarding their marriage and I would like to plead with everyone seated to respect their decision."

In a tone of solemnity, the priest ended his address and then faced the couple.

"I will now begin."

Almost at the same time, Jiu Wei and Fan Tiffany responded to the priest, their eyes remained on him as he began uttering the words that would bind them by many witnesses.

As the priest spoke, Fan Tiffany could feel her eyes beginning to twitch from nervousness, her mind temporarily slipping back to the time when she heard her phone vibrate with the text message from her then fiancee, Wang Feiyu.
