Marriage Rights: Billionaire's Forgotten Wife

Chapter 109 - Meet after school

'I have a plan to help you, but there are conditions. We can talk about it after school.' Mo Lihua decided to ask him to meet. Her proposal is something that needs to be discussed face to face, so Mo Lihua did not mention about the conditions of the help.

Maybe she could convince him of her plan, but she felt like she was overstepping a line. Mo Lihua can still clearly remember the regret on his face when he found out that his happy dream is not who he is expecting.

Mo Lihua does not want to see that expression on his face again, or she will break down.

For her, Yu Qiao would probably look at her with disdain for considering such a thing.

How could someone who saw her as nothing more than a sister ever see her as a wife? There was nothing more to do than try.

On the other hand, Mo Lihua knows that Yu Qiao should not know where the money came from. The proposal will be for both their benefits.

She is just offering the marriage for her to have access to her inheritance. This way, she can help Yu Qiao as well as the Mo family business.

'Wat r the conditions?' Yu Qiao replied.

Mo Lihua texted him back. 'I'm at the uni. We can talk after.' She closed her phone and did her best to pay attention to the lesson in front of her. Now to act as normal as possible for the remainder of the day.

Yu Qiao sat alone in the board room with his head on the table, pondering what to do next. The board had walked out on him.

He was losing everything from his home to his father, possibly, and he had no way of helping himself let alone any of the people involved with his father's mess.

It also breaks his heart that his father cannot defend himself against all the 'proof' that Yu Qiao now has in his hands.

Still, since there is only one angle to look at, Yu Qiao will end up being a poor man. There are still hospital bills to pay for his father and him being homeless as well, when the state took everything, even the Yu family main house, to pay for the lawsuits.

Yu Qiao then stood from the board room seat and left the room with his dignity buried. He turned and took one last glance behind him — his one chance to sit at the head of the table and his last. The chapter of his father's business was coming to a close.

He then decided to go to his father's office instead. Yu Qiao ореn thе dооr and ѕtооd just іnѕіdе, ѕіghіng аt thе sight оf the rооm. Thе wаllѕ were раnеlеd with carved dark wood, all оf іt аnсіеnt аnd bought on a high price for this office.

Plush сhаіrѕ and furniture, аll оf it made of ѕtrоng, еxоtіс wооdѕ, the latest ріесеѕ dating back to Victorian times, were placed аrоund thе room. The huge desk, mаdе оf rоѕеwооd and ѕо lаrgе thаt even his colossal form fits.

Yu Qiao sat on his father's chair and rested his head on the table, processing what to do next. He didn't want to beg for help from Mo Lihua, but he didn't have an option. The shame he felt even having to ask was enough to drive him to drink. He reached out, and she had said 'no.'

There was nothing left but to pack what little he could salvage of his personal belongings and find a place to crash. It wouldn't be long before all of the Yu property would be taken.

His phone buzzed. He was reluctant to even look at it, but he needed to. What if she changed her mind?

'I have a plan to help you, but there are conditions. We can talk about it after school.' Mo Lihua's message appeared that gave him hope.

Yu Qiao immediately wants to know what the plan is. 'What are the conditions?' He replied to her message, even though he wants to call instead severely. It is best to exchange messages as he is also feeling shameful for not having anything to offer.

He hopes that he does not need to sell his soul to the devil just to save the company or at least to settle all debts and have enough to pay for his father's hospitalization.

Yes, his father has medical insurance, but how long could that last? Yu Qiao is not confident to depend on it forever.

His phone buzzed again, and without lifting his head off of the table, he lifted his phone to the side and read the message.

'I'm at the uni. We can talk after.'

Mo Lihua wanted to meet after school? Is he patient enough to wait? No.
