Mo Lihua stepped off the plane landing on City S, two hours away from the capital. She felt suffocated probably because of the black turtleneck sweater that she is wearing.

Due to her recent bedroom activity, her every limb and muscle ache. Feeling sore but no choice, but to sit on a two hours flight with a grumpy Piore.

She is exhausted, confused, angry, and hungry. For being a guardian, Piore was doing a crappy job.

What kind of guardian doesn't feed their candidate? Mo Lihua did try to follow his instructions, aside from one, she got married.

Well, they are now in no speaking terms as he is mad to what she had done. At least, Piore did not jump for the kill when he learned Yu Qiao is sleeping peacefully on her bed.

Even when she disentangled herself quickly from his hold due to Piore's rude knocking, Yu Qiao just made soft groan of protest before hugging a pillow.

Mo Lihua can still remember how angry Piore's face was when she opened the door. Not only he shoves a copy of her marriage certificate on her face and pointed out the glaring kiss marks on her exposed skin.

"Get dressed. We are living." That is the only sentence he had spoken to her earlier, and Mo Lihua does not mind one bit. She prefers it that way.

She is already in physical pain, but not the reason she feels like dying. The feeling is like a knife is continuously stabbing her heart, until she gave up and do it for real.

Mo Lihua gave what Yu Qiao wants, but she does not want to see him again. She has plans to follow and lives to protect, including him. I am overanalyzing and probably also have OCD, She thought to herself.

She knows the closer they became, the more it will be hard to let go and Mo Lihua does not want to beg for him to stay. Her life is already complicated as it is, and reminding her about marital responsibility is not going to work.

What if she got pregnant on their loveless marriage? How can she cope up?

It is best to keep their distance. Thus, Mo Lihua decided to leave him a message. By just remembering the word, responsibility, the pain in her heart intensifies.

No one wants to see the person she loves to be with another. However, Mo Lihua knows they can never have a normal romantic relationship.

Mo Lihua released a heavy sigh as she reached into her bag and took out her phone. She switched it on. It is already dawn when they arrive at the airport on City S, and she wants to check on everyone.

She tried calling Rita first to make sure they were not attacked. Thankfully all seems well. Rita even congratulated her for being married after a short tantrum of not being present due to the wedding.

Just as the final words were spoken to Rita when Piore came up behind her and snatched the phone out of her hand. "Who do you think you're calling? Your husband?"

Mo Lihua looked at Piore with disdain. "I prefer it if you not talk to me, and no. I was speaking to Rita. I was supposed to check my voicemail. Don't you think since I was not given a chance even to say a proper goodbye to everyone or tell them where I was going that someone may miss me?"

Piore glared at Mo Lihua. "No one would miss you, as if he is your real husband." He said as he pushed past her. Mo Lihua glared at him from behind. "Well, are you coming?" he said as he turned around to make sure she was still in tow.

He enjoyed Mo Lihua being on a short leash like a little dog he could control. She deserves it for acting on her own.

They would have covered the wedding arrangement to get her inheritance in a better way, but now the main branch of the family is already aware of it.

Who knows what they plan to do when a big chunk of their money is already under Mo Lihua's name?

That is still a billion-dollar worth of inheritance. Who would not be envy? The old man even made sure that Mo Lihua's inheritance is way more than what the rest would get. Piore can imagine them fuming and shouting how unfair it is since Mo Lihua did not even serve the family for years.

How biased? I didn't even get anything! Piore thought to himself with annoyance.

Mo Lihua wondered where he would be dragging her off to next. "Where are you toting me off to now?" she said with a snarl.

"I thought you don't want me speaking?" He replied tauntingly.

"Answer me!" Mo Lihua snapped.

Piore grinned, "Well, you just got married, right? Some people want to congratulate you. VIP's that prefers to drag you from your wedding bed, in the middle of the night to see them instead. Isn't that awesome?"

"Joy." Mo Lihua replied expressionlessly.
