Will you be coming here to see me, asap?" Yu Qiao asked that earned a thumbs up from Rita.

The chief stuttered a little on the other line. Like he hadn't expect Yu Qiao to offer to meet him. "Um...we will wait here for you. Thank you for your time. I look forward to speaking with you further." There was a moment's pause. "I am sorry about your father."

"Thank you." Yu Qiao said as he hung up the phone. He looked at Rita with worry.

Then the door of the room opened, Mo Lihua emerged looking tired but fresh, with her hair still wet like she just finished taking a bath. She seems to be not wearing any make-up and the white sundress she has on looks good on her.

Yu Qiao's heart fluttered uncontrollably as he watched her walks toward them. He couldn't help it, but he stopped himself remembering the call that he just received. Rita and Yu Qiao exchanged a glance, in silent agreement to not hide anything from Mo Lihua.

He also wondered where Mo Lihua's cousin is. Aren't they supposed to be together for her safety?

Mo Lihua smiled at Rita and Yu Qiao sadly. Her heart fluttered, and butterflies filled her stomach at the sight of Yu Qiao. She knew in her heart Yu Qiao didn't feel the same, but with Piore earlier action from the slaughterhouse earlier made her decision firm.

If she showed she had feelings for Yu Qiao or cared for him in any way and the enemies learnt it, he too could become a target. She couldn't bear the thought of him being hurt because of her.

She decided right there and then it would be easier to cut him out as quickly as possible, to keep him safe. Her heart was breaking, but she knew she didn't have a choice. She would have to appear cold to him.

So she made sure to stand far from Yu Qiao's hospital bed. Mo Lihua even refused the chair that Rita offered.

"Where have you been? Any news?" Yu Qiao asked. Though feeling disappointed because he cannot reach Mo Lihua, he still managed to hide it on his face.

"I have been where I have been," she responded with an eye roll.

Before Yu Qiao can reply, someone stepped in the room like he owned the place and immediately called out Rita, "Oh, isn't this noisy Rita?"

Yu Qiao wondered who this new guy could be. Is he a cousin or a new boyfriend? The new arrival is a handsome man who is wearing a black leather jacket over a white shirt then blue jeans.

"We do not need you here." Mo Lihua stated thoughtfully at Piore, "Go to where you want to go."
