Marry Before Love

What Cheng Yuan expected, he was not as happy as he imagined, but he hummed indispensably. The sequelae of the fever made his head still dizzy. After realizing his action, Yuan quickly picked up his phone from the other side and handed it to him. When he saw what he was doing when he unlocked the phone, he pursed his lips and reminded him with rare concern, “If you are sick, take a good rest and use your phone less”.

He took a few glances at Weibo, after posting a message on Weibo that said “I was sick recently but I will post from time to time”, and turned off the screen of his mobile phone because he didn’t see anything important.

After returning it to Cheng Yuan, he said “I got it”, he lay down and closed his eyes to rest. In fact, this is their usual way of getting along. No matter whether he speaks or not, Cheng Yuan’s responses are small or none, but he used to feel that although he didn’t say any words, as long as Cheng Yuan didn’t say some hurtful words, the two of them would be better off. 

The atmosphere in the room was considered harmonious, but now he could only feel the unspeakable tension in the silent air. After he closed his eyes, Cheng Yuan stood in front of the bed for a while, not knowing what he was thinking, he didn’t go to the study room, but turned on the computer in the room to work. He listened to the small voice coming from the opposite side, and his eyes moved slightly. In fact, he was not sleepy after sleeping for a long time. The reason why he lay down was that he had nothing to say, and hoped that Cheng Yuan would see that he was going to rest. Being able to talk with him, he never thought that Cheng Yuan, who usually hides from him or doesn’t talk to him, didn’t know what Cheng Yuan ate wrong which made him stay in today. Although he didn’t know why the other party stayed, getting along with the other party made him feel awkward. 

It was not until the housekeeper came up to call Cheng Yuan to go downstairs for dinner that’s when the torment ended. After hearing that there was no movement in the room, he opened his eyes and was a little amused at why he was acting like a thief, even if he didn’t sleep, he could sit directly. 

When he got up, he said that he had enough sleep and didn’t want to sleep any more. He sat up and stared at the quilt for a while, before he could think of what to do, the door creaked open again, and he looked over with a slow response, it was Cheng Yuan who was holding a tray. The other party was a little surprised to see him awake, and then put the plate in his hand gently on the bedside table.

“I’ll go down and get you something to eat.” Then he glanced around and couldn’t find anything that could act as a stand. Cheng Yuan just wanted to ask if he wanted any help, he stretched out his hand and picked up the bowl of the rice porridge. “I can do it myself, thank you”.

Cheng Yuan shrank his fingers, lowered his eyes and said nothing. It was strange for him to see Cheng Yuan standing in front of the bed in a daze. Judging from the time he went out of the room, the other party should have brought him porridge before he had eaten. Why wasn’t he going down to eat now?

He thought about it and asked the same question, and then saw Cheng Yuan move his Adam’s apple, and said dryly, “I’ll wait until you finish eating.”

He didn’t know if it was his delusion, but he actually felt that Cheng Yuan who said this was like a wronged dog. He thought that he had injured his head somewhere. 

The sequelae of the fever made his sense of taste not very sensitive. It just happened that the imported white porridge had no taste. After barely eating half a bowl, he put down the bowl and said to Cheng Yuan, who was standing beside him, “I’m full.”

“You should eat the leftover porridge as well.” Cheng Yuan looked at the half bowl of porridge left in the bowl, as well as the untouched side dishes on the tray. 

“Or eat some with side dishes.”

“It’s okay, I’m full, you can go eat first.” In fact, he didn’t feel hungry at all, so he just took a few bites mindlessly, looked at Cheng Yuan’s worried eyes and thought about it, and said, “Wait when I’m hungry. I’ll tell you later”

“Okay” So Cheng Yuan took the tray and went downstairs again. Looking at the room that had become silent again, he suddenly remembered that since he has a cold, Cheng Yuan doesn’t have to force himself to sleep in the same room with him. After all, under the legitimate reason of worrying about being infected, even Old Master Cheng can’t say anything.

He just didn’t expect that Cheng Yuan would appear in the room on time again at night. He was a little confused, “Why are you here?”

As if he didn’t expect him to ask this question, Cheng Yuan paused when he took off his coat, and said hesitantly, “I’m back to sleep.”

He pursed his lips, “Why don’t you go to sleep in the guest room?” After thinking about it, he felt that his words were somewhat ambiguous. After all, this was Cheng Yuan’s bedroom. It sounded like he was chasing Cheng Yuan out of his own room, and so he added, “If you’ll sleep here, I will infect you”

“It’s okay” Cheng Yuan took out a quilt from the closet. He didn’t know when it was put in. He naturally put it on the other side of the bed. After he was done, he laid down. Before closing his eyes, he did not forget to say Good night to him.

He blinked his eyes a little at a loss, and replied “good night” in a nonchalant manner, then swiped his phone randomly for a while, then he also laid down.

The night light was on Cheng Yuan’s side, and he didn’t want to get up and turn it off. Fortunately, the light was not too bright, and he fell asleep quickly because of the drowsiness.

Cheng Yuan, who was beside him, waited until he made an even breathing sound, then got up and turned off the light. The curtains were not drawn properly, and the moonlight fell on the floor. Cheng Yuan stared at the mottled light and shadow, thinking of him unexpectedly in his mind. When he was sick, he blushed, and he obeyed his every command.

After realizing what he was thinking, Cheng Yuan snorted impatiently, and quickly closed his eyes and fell asleep.
