Whereas everyone was worried about Joshua and little Darwin outside, there was a battle going on inside Joshua. 

A battle with himself. 

You see when Joshua entered his mind palace he found out that the mansion he had built was in ruins. Everything was burning. The sky was red and crows were flying and Cawing, the tree that he planted in Martha's memory was now dead. There was not a single green leaf on it. The swimming pool was now filled with blood. 

There was fire everywhere. And then Joshua heard a bell. A church bell to be specific. Joshua was startled because there was No church in his mindscape. 

He for the first time in almost 3 years showed a reaction that was not rage or apathetic. It was fear. Genuine fear. 

In front of his eyes, the whole scenery was changed. Everything started to crumble and a church came into view. 

Joshua was sweating buckets. He was trembling. He was scared because he knew what this church was. 

This was the church where they killed Martha. Then Joshua heard the prayer, the same prayer these people always say before killing a Mutant. 

Joshua's knees were about to give up when he heard a voice from behind. 

" What are you doing standing here boy. Let's go inside. The priest will soon perform an exorcism. " A robust voice said to him. 

He saw a man in a white tux and a hat. The man was 6 ft in height, he was also wearing a hat and was carrying a cane. He had a woman with him who was wearing a violet gown. She was also wearing various expensive jewelry like Pearl's necklace on her neck, a pair of diamond earrings, and rings on her hands.

He just followed them. Only then did Joshua notice that it was not just the scenery that had changed, he too was de-aged.

Joshua knew who they were. They were his parents whom he killed in the most brutal way.  

He tried to run away but he was not able to do anything, it was like his body was not in his control. He knew what was going to happen. It was exactly like that day. 

The day they killed Martha. 

He was trying to excess his powers so hard, he was screaming in his mind to just kill these people. But all was in vain. No matter how much he tried his body was not listening to him.

He entered the church and found out the same view. People were sitting there in silence and a man with white robes was preaching. 

" God made this land for us Humans, his precious little children. And in return, he never asked for anything but it was our duty to always be faithful to him. 

It was our duty to never be tempted by the Devil. But some people are greedy, they make deals with the devil, they trade their humanity with him for his dark powers and those beings are called Mutants. 

These mutants are a danger to our human race, to our faith, to our god. It is our duty as his children to eradicate this danger. " 

The priest was rambling, and Joshua felt dreaded with every word. He just wanted to kill every single one of them. He was getting angry. He was trying hard to make his body listen to his commands. 

Then it happens they bring her tied to a cross, blood dripping from her head, eyes lifeless, n.a.k.e.d, and bruised everywhere. 

She was r.a.p.ed and beaten, no one knows how many times. Cause right now she was broken and she was the very definition of courage.

Her powers were nothing extraordinary, they were just her understanding and being able to speak to animals. She was the kindest soul that he knew and now she was like this. She was never able to harm anyone.

Everything became blank for Joshua when he saw her in this situation. 

" NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO…. not again. " Joshua was crying in his mind. 

Joshua was crying. He was on his knees. 

Joshua tried to run toward her but his father caught him, he tried to bite his father's hand but his father pressed him against the floor. 

Joshua heard his father explaining to the priest that Joshua was under a spell.

Joshua was constantly telling them to let her go, that she is not what they think she is. He was constantly telling them that she was innocent and let her go. But they didn't listen to him.

She one last time looked at him and smiled. And then the priest started whipping her. Her whole body was covered in whip marks. 

Joshua wanted to save her. He was struggling but his father kept holding him tight. 

Then it happens the priest poured acid on her and after that, he poured patrol. He lit her. 

Joshua somehow pushed his father back and started to rub toward the burning body. He was trying to put out the fire with his b.a.r.e hands.

She was screaming and he was crying and trying to put out the fire. 

Then the screaming stops and like a dam was broken Joshua's body was filled with energy. 

"  Aaarrrrrggggghhhhh " he screamed. 

He looked toward everyone with hate. His body started to change, Two horns sprouted from his forehead, his skin turned red, his height started to increase. His body started to become bulkier, his nails became sharper, a tail was spurted from his spine. He was exhaling fire instead of air from his nose. 

They release the beast. An asura who was enraged. 

He looked toward everyone with burning hatred in his eyes. 

And then the slaughter started. Joshua killed everyone present, he spits fire on them, he spits acid from his mouth on the people. He stomped on their heads. He bites their heads from their bodies. 

He takes his father's beating heart out of his c.h.e.s.t. He tore his mother in half and when everything was done he went to the now completely burned corpse of his lover. 

Rudra was constantly blaming himself, that he could have saved her. He could have told people about it, he could have told police about this but no he was too scared to tell. And now his cowardice's price was paid by Martha.

And then the scenery changed again. 

A/n: The first thing today is my birthday. 

The second thing people are saying that I dropped it, well this book is kinda keeping me alive. 

For others' life throws lemons at them but my life throws stones at me. And this book will be finished. 

Third, Joshua is too psychotic and angst and all that. This was the reason. Now tell me if you can be sane after this then you have ascended to the realm of kindness god.
