After the not so peaceful session of calming myself I sat down and tried to locate the position of the powerful soul I felt earlier. It was a young soul no more than 15 years of age. But It was unbelievably powerful for its age.

I could also feel traces of a more powerful soul in it. It all pointed at one direction, full Inheritance of a powerful person. But it was grievously injured and I felt a powerful poison corrupting her soul. It must be a really powerful poison if it could affect even the soul.

When I looked at the treasure named 'Sky poison pearl' which could purify all poison I couldn't help but chuckle. It should be the person who was fated to this original soul who would heal his broken profound veins.

Oh...Did I mention that this soul was of a girl? Imagine a powerful girl whose soul was getting corrupted by a vicious poison and a reincarnator with a treasure that could purify all poison but with disabled profound veins. What a beautiful story.

While thinking all of this I couldn't help but sigh again. I mean I thought I was the most powerful person in my world. Then that monster came and I am getting dragged in these world's laws shit.

But these things made me realize how small I was in comparison. I was blinded by the arrogance of sitting on top of everyone.

The despair I felt when that monster killed everyone.

The anger and helplessness I felt when my fate wasn't in my hands.

The shame I felt when my life was spared just because I was useful.

I devoured the Xiao Yulong's soul and replaced it with my soul clone which I made from Xiao Che's soul. It was the lowest quality soul clone that couldn't perform soul cultivation.

It wasn't so simple to just possess a body. The body would reject any other soul other than its own. So the devoured Xiao Yulong's soul acted as a glue that stuck his body and my soul clone together.

And if anyone wanted to find out anything that was wrong with his soul then he or she had to have a higher comprehension of the soul than me.

I got a little sidetracked here. So, we were going to visit that powerful girl.

I didn't know if she was friend or foe so even though she was poisoned she could kill me easily. So I had my main soul take over the body of Xiao Yulong and my soul clone take over the body of Xiao Che.

It wasn't so easy to replace the souls. My main soul was as delicate as a maiden because of severe injury. I had to put my utmost concentration during the transfer and not break my soul like a maiden's v.i.r.g.i.n.i.t.y. It took a whole half an hour just to replace the soul.

Now, even if Xiao Che dies, just my soul clone will dissipate and my main soul will remain unharmed.

The Xiao Che version of me walked out of Xiao Yulong's courtyard and returned to Xiao Che's courtyard. I felt Xia Qingyue's soul there. I could feel her pure soul.

As I was drooling over her soul I felt a slight throbbing sensation in my left hand. It was where the sky poison pearl was fused with my body. I subconsciously raised my left hand and saw impressive glimmers of rapid flashing faint light come from the Sky Poison Pearl's pattern in my palm.

I stopped in my tracks to turn in the direction of the cold light. In the not too dim moonlight, I saw a vague blurry mass less than fifty meters north of him. It was an obscure white shadow.

I couldn't help but smile seeing that shadow. This soul clone was too weak to sense the girl's soul. Who knew that she was so close.
