Abandoned observation stations, floating in the void. Small stations, only about 100 metres in diameter, continue to observe the universe even after finishing their role. Technically, Dr. Aljimov revived him once he stopped functioning.

"" This is Rockboy. I recovered the data chip. I'll be right back. ""

Two destroyers with Plum. From among the work ship rock boys mounted on one of them, Marl emits without incident.

"Copy that. I'm glad you're hurrying as fast as you can."

Keep an eye on the radar screen, Taro. On his staring screen are displayed the moment and the eighteen light points that are approaching them.

Two hours had already passed since Marl began collecting chips. The recovery operation was initially thought to be completed even immediately, but in fact it did not. The fact that the observation equipment was of fairly old type and the hardening of the panels due to aging greatly hampered recovery operations. The data box did not open, the chip did not fall out, and the high voltage wiring that remained removed from the critical parts wandered around there. Still, it would be thanks to Marr's skilled mechanical manipulation techniques that the collection of chips was successfully completed.

"" What's going on over there? Are you still on your way? ""

"Yeah, the subject keeps going this way, Miss Marr. There's been a series of high-energy reactions, and it looks like about four ships have fallen off on the way, stopping moving."

When Marl raised his voice to Xiaomei's answer, he hurried to the open plum dock. As she boards to Plum to jump in with her space suit, she sends the autopilot rock boy back to DD-01.

"Mr. Taylor. It's an identification signal from the fleet. Surprisingly, it also contains warning signs."

To Xiao Mei's voice, Taro looks up all the time.

"No, no, warning? We didn't do anything, did we?

"Yeah, I know that, Mr. Taylor. I don't think observational data has any general value, and I wonder what it is. Is it an observation maniac or something?

"I'm telling you I know it's too maniacal and I'll never... um, I don't know what to do. For once, we're ready to deploy battles."

As a precaution, Taro gives instructions to alert the two destroyers. The destroyer reacts quickly to Taro's instructions and begins to move to the left and right of the pram. Taro was able to confirm with an external monitor that the destroyer's turret bay was slowly opening.

"Plum ii to each member. Never attack until instructed. Basically, let's get out of here. To have an overdrive device."

"This is DD-01, roger."

"" This is DD-02, roger. I recovered that and the rock boy. Can be moved anytime ""

When Taro returns an acknowledgement from both ships, he immediately starts activating the overdrive device. I was wondering what the fleet was doing as it approached me, but I didn't want to know until I took the risk.

- "Overdrive activation" -

An already warmed overdrive device reacts quickly, and the plumb and the two destroyers, at exactly the same time. Then start warping toward the same location. This was a craftsmanship that required skill inside, but knowledge of fleet command overwritten in Taro's brain made it easy to do so.

- "End of overdrive" -

The three ships, transformed into arrows of light, return to their original size, stopping while leaving a thin blue residual light.

"Path, stay in formation. Roughly an hour, normal sailing."

When Taro makes sure he's safe around, he turns the plum's engine on completely. Lighter mass destroyers accelerate faster per hour, so the other two ships will fit the velocity of the plumb.

"Xiaomei, how's the particle concentration at the target point? You think you can stand the jump?

"Wait a minute," Xiao Mei said to Taro's voice.

"It seems to exist too long enough, Mr. Taylor, not to say an hour, but perhaps in half an hour it will be possible to jump"

"Oi" nodded slightly in reply to Xiao Mei.

Unlike the general area within the Galactic Empire, outer space has an extremely low number of particles required for overdrive. Taro didn't want to be a scientist, so I didn't know why, but apparently it's affecting the distance from the black hole. Eighty percent of the drive particles present in the Galactic Empire are supplied by black holes present in the center of the galaxy, Xiaomei said.

"Is it natural to think about it? If it's all moving around in warp, you don't need a regular engine."

Taro's words, the first time in outer space that it became necessary to travel by normal cruise. Since particles can be generated artificially by using special devices, Taro imagines that they will be able to jump freely around here in the not too distant future.

"Ha... I'm home. I've been doing some delicate work for a long time, and I'm tired."

When Taro was checking all kinds of hull information, Marr came to the control room with a sober look. As she fell into her seat, she took a sigh of relief.

"Good day. It seemed like it would have taken me a while to do it, but it was also a problem?

To Taro's question, shake the blindfold, Marr.

"It's not a problem, but the internal structure of the observation device was quite different from the information the Doctor gave me. It was weirdly hierarchical, and the small containers with the chips were packed in the back. I don't care what you think. Is the Doctor a trouser after all?

Marl replied, "Can I get some sleep?" and starts knocking down the seat. When Taro answers by giving her a thumbs up, he switches the communication output connected to the onboard speaker to the output to the communication machine side.

"In the meantime, is this the first one? Hopefully I'll find the other three well... I'll sleep a little too"

Plum II had an excellent crew member who did not need sleep, and Taro placed absolute trust in her. In addition, due to the passing of a time of tension that had not been here for some time, Taro was surrounded by a sense of comfortable fatigue.

When Taro started groaning on the seat, it suddenly came.

"Mr. Taylor. We have an overdrive space reservation. Are you sure you want to refuse?

Rin Xiaomei's voice. As soon as Taro wakes up his body, he puffs his head trying to awaken his consciousness.

"You mean someone's trying to jump around here?

"Affirmative, Mr. Taylor. The coordinates are from the point where we were earlier. Perhaps the fleet earlier."

"Earlier? Come on, seriously, what is it? You don't know anybody over here, do you?

"It's like you're over there, Mr. Taylor."

"No, no, why are you being treated like me!?

Taro sends a signal of rejection to the space reservation displayed in BISHOP while returning it to Xiaomei's light mouth. The anti-drive particles mounted on the immaculate plum are sprayed around and the warp relative to the perimeter is blocked. This is mostly loaded on every ship to prevent warp collisions to close range.

"... Okay, that sounds okay. But what? You're too persistent to be a stalker."

Apparently, the fleet of examples was not loaded with powerful warp stabilizers. It's an anti-drive particle device that can never be described as powerful by the plum, but Taro is relieved that it seems to have succeeded in blocking the warp.

"Mr. Taylor. Detects drive particles activated at rear long-range. Now, this is definitely like stalking us."

Taro screams a small scream at Xiao Mei's report. He speaks volumetrically to Marl's comms machine, "Oh, wow, wow, wow," he says.

"Uh-huh!? What? What is it?

"Bad Marl. It's starting to look like you're having fun. Those guys just followed me."

To Taro's voice, "Wake me up normally!!" And whilst twitching, Marl quickly checks the display.

"That's a long way off. You refused to drive?

"Affirmative, Miss Marr. There are only two reasons, such as flying a space reservation without a single communication. Is this harmful or is the comms malfunctioning?"

"First of all, I don't know that all 18 communications have failed. Detail scan, arrive?

Taro turns to Marl and asks him that question, but at the same time he finishes well, the scan results appear on the display. Apparently, Marl was already running it.

"To frigate 12, destroyer 6. No response to this identification signal. Taylor, this is the enemy."

He was tall enough to get ready to defend "soka" to Marl's voice, but after a while the movement stops perfectly. Because his thoughts came to a point.

"... enemies... enemies are human beings, right?

Taro whines as he stares forward. To that voice, Marl turns his face.

"Well... maybe it's a human being on board"

Answer short, Marl. Taro turns his gaze toward her, and the two eyes meet.

………………

Too often, silent time. When Taro looks down, he sighs one like he gave up.

"Well, you knew this too..."

As Taro turns his gaze toward the display, he flickers at a light point indicating the fleet approaching this way. He was nauseated by the fact that he might kill people, but it wasn't as terrible an emotion as I had imagined. It may be an overridden army cadet education business, but I didn't know the truth.

However, he had something to take precedence over the normal sentiment that people should not be killed.

"... are you okay?

Without realizing it, the gaze I was turning to Marr again. When Marl realizes it, he sends out his concern for Taro. When Taro waves "Nothing" or something, he expands the myriad function groups stored for combat onto the BISHOP.

"Try firing even one shot. I'll make you regret it."
