Me? Oh I’m Kali, Kali Green

Chapter 50 - Unknown Movements

Chinatown's [Nest].

While Kali was busy playing with Asgardians and Markus was spending his time arguing with his new partner, some of the kids are in the nest.

Ronny was still punching the bag in his free time, he had the gym all to himself a few streets away but he liked being in the [Nest] more.

Plus Charles was always giving him pointers.

Logan was gone, no one knew where, one day he just up and left.

Even the X-Men don't know where he is, Kali told them to just leave it since he has personal business to deal with.

Jack was on the spar mat getting his face handed to Zhang's punches.

Charles went back and forth from Ronny and the monitors to see if anything was wrong.

So far the city has been quiet, a little too quiet.

At least closer to them, ones like Harlem and Hell's Kitchen are always busy with crime.

It was where Red Hood operated when he wanted to go solo.

Even now Charles is thinking about widening their patrols areas to fully watch Manhattan, but they didn't have the manpower.

They are still in training of course.

Jun Lee was sitting on one of the couches lazing about with a tablet on her hand continuously swiping.

"These aren't actually that bad, now i'm just in a dilemma on what to pick, why is Kali even making these? Is he trying to make an army of heroes or something?" Jun Lee asked Charles.

"No idea really, I asked the same thing to him but he just said it was a hobby." Charles said, not turning away from the monitor.

What was on the tablet Jun holds are various kinds of suit designs, one's Kali can pick from his brain.

Even the DC's superhero suits were edged in there, though not too similar there were some changes made

For example Superman's (Henry Cavill) classic suit except no symbol.

There were also a few other things from popular games and whatnot but the point is made.

Jun Lee is not the type of girl that wears bright colorful clothings, nor something too dark. It has to be in the middle, like...purple, or green.

At least a darker shade of green

So she had a few suit designs she was looking at, and still picking her mind until Charles spoke again.

"Why don't you pick something like Jean's, you guys would be matching."

"No!" Said both Jun and Jean.

Jean was floating up top near the ceiling, slowly and lazily doing turns.

"You still don't know anything about girls babe, most every girl wanna match, even if it's with their best friend." Jean said as she floated down putting her arms around Charles' neck while still floating.

"Plus it's too...orange." Jun said.

"I don't get it, what's so wrong about matching with a friend? I mean me and the others try to match sometimes for fun." Charles said.

"I know, but boys are boys, it's a bit different when it comes to girls." Jean said.

"Wait who designs these suits anyways? I get that we can pick a suit but how do we get it?" Jun asked.

"Oh there is this guy who can make them, but we've been gathering up people to make our own lab of suits and the likes." Charles said.

""We?" We who?" Jean asked, even Jean glanced at Charles for the answer.

"Uhh the company of course, hahaha, who else would I be talking about?" Charles chuckled nervously.

No one really knows about the new [Overwatch], only him and Zhang.

Even now [Entity] has locked the information about the group deep, even if the others asked it wouldn't reveal much but a question mark.

"Who knows." Jun muttered before going back on the tablet.

Before anyone could say anything more, there were a few pings on the monitor.

Big red dots rapidly appear all over Manhattan and even outside the city.

It wasn't so quiet all of a sudden.

"SHITT!!" Charles screamed in worry as he jerked up pushing the chair he was sitting on to slide back.

Jean was also surprised, the big red dots on the monitor doesn't seem to be a good sign.

Zhang paused his training with Jack and looked to the monitor only for his eyes to widen.

Charles rapidly typed on the keyboard looking more closely onto what's happening, because it wasn't normal.

It looks as if it was a city wide attack

"Zhang, I'm gonna need you to suit up on this one." Charles said seriously.

Zhang didn't take a second to longer and went to change.

"What's wrong?" Jun asked.

Jean, Jack and even Ronny stopped what they were doing and came up to the monitor.

"I'm not exactly sure...but there are multiple crimes happening throughout the city, reports from bank robberies to reported gunshots." Charles said.

"We're gonna have to work together on this." Charles said looking at the big screen thinking out strategies for this.

"We're ready, just tell us what we need to do." Jack said by the side, Jun nodded agreeing.

"No, not you guys, you're not ready yet, not for something this big-"

"How would you know if you don't let us try-" Jack interrupted just to be interrupted back by Charles.

"These are not just small crimes Jack, it's bigger than what it seems, just a minute ago the screen was clear, now the whole of new york is on red alert.

And you are not ready for hostage situations, so you two stay here." Charles said as he picked up his utility belt and put it on.

"What's the situation?" Zhang said as he came back fully dressed.

Charles then took the lead as Zhang and Jean followed behind.

"It's weird, but I'll explain on the way, plus it's still daylight so we will have to be careful, you too Jean.

I will head South, Zhang, I want you to head East and beyond to see what you can find there, Jean I will have you stay close on South to clear up any of the suspicion reports." Charles instructed.

"Most of the police reports are reported gunshots and suspicious movements being called in, you just need to see what is going on, I will take the heavy hostage situations down South of here.

That's it for now, I'll explain more through the comms." Charles said before they rushed through hidden exits to appear a few miles out from the company warehouse.

It would be weird if there were reports of multiple sites of them in their suit near the Green warehouse.

It would surely connect dots

They would have called Markus but he has been ignoring their calls.

As the three went separate ways leaving the other three teenagers in the [Nest], someone in the dark made a wide smile from ear to ear.

Unknown where this person was, but he spoke.

"Let the games begin." He said before laughing out hysterically.

•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•

In Asgard.

Kali along with Thor and his usual small circle which was Loki, Sif, and the warrior three were inside a bar.

An hour and some time ago, Thor was showing Kali around the golden places along with the others as they asked questions.

Like who was he? Kali simply answered with his name.

Where did he come from? Midgard.

The fact that he came from Midgard, a place of puny mortals, was surprising.

But the man himself looked mighty and the scars on him also showed a different response.

They asked and he told them he can take up a sword easily, he also said he wasn't a normal man.

At least not mortal.

And one of the warrior three joked that even if he can hold a blade, he probably couldn't hold his liquor.

And that brought them to this moment.

Kali always wanted to try out the Asgardian liquor, and also challenging a god in drinking was a plus.

When Kali met them at the training grounds, he thought a person like Thor would challenge him to a battle.

But Thor was just nice, polite, and physically friendly.

Loki was silent most of the time, mostly being observant about Kali, since he was a strange one.

Now both Kali and Thor were standing facing one another with an empty table in between them.

They were on their 28th giant mug of alcohol.

They were drinking Asgardian beer which was way stronger than the normal mortal beers.

The Asgardian alcohol has a line of bitterness that goes down the drain when one drinks, but along that line is a very smooth fuzzy cold beer.

If Kali was asked, he would prefer Asgardian Alcohol over earth drinks.

But they were not better than the shots on earth, there were both pros and cons on both side but that is a story for another time.

Now, the two big men drink.

The reason the table in front of them was empty was because when they finish their wooden mugs they throw it on the ground breaking them.

Kali was shocked when Thor first did it on their first mug, but then remembered when Thor also did that when he went to earth.

So he went along with it and also threw them, it felt good.

As the two were nearing their 40th drinks, Kali paused and held his hand up, Thor who was buzzing smiled thinking Kali would give up.

But he wasn't.

"Bathroom break, thunder brains!!" Kali said as he rushed out of the bar taking a leak on the sidewalk.

Thor rushed out as well laughing, he stood next to Kali and also pulled his meat out and began pissing.

Kali just looked at him as he did his business, thinking about how Asgardians have no shame in hiding junks and all.

Well most of them at least.

They soon went back in and drank again, time passes and they came back out again to piss, although clumsily as they were now drunk.

Both laughing loudly and enjoying themselves, after going back in they spend more time on their ongoing contest.

Soon some crashes and bangs were heard inside the bar.

Some civilians ran out in panic.

But it soon went quiet.

Inside both Kali and Thor were knocked out on top of the tables with smiles over their faces, their clothes ripped out.

While standing on the side with haggard breath and tattered clothing were Loki Sif and the others.

•••••••

The two soon woke up while it was night time, no hangover considering they drank until they were their true selves.

Sif had to explain what happened.

Thor lost his patience and slurred out something about a fight being quicker than their drinking contest.

Kali agreed.

And the next thing they knew, Thor rammed into Kali as he was pushed back crashing onto one of the tables.

Thor laughed thinking he won.

But with another crazy laugh, Kali got up and ran ramming into Thor in return sending Thor to the walls.

Everyone in their was shocked, disbelief was written all over their face.

But it was only the beginning as Thor came out of the wall and smiled more crazily.

He was right, Kali was as mighty as he looked, and then began a contest of pushing and throwing.

Though good thing they didn't summon their weapons or else they would just cause chaos in not only the bar but the whole of Asgard.

Catching up with the story told by Sif, the two laughed it off.

Thor complimented Kali's strength, and with the knowledge that Kali was mighty he had a plan.

Thor led everyone to the bifrost and got themselves a horse as they rode to Heimdall.

Kali was amazed by the beauty looking out from the bifrost; he told himself in his heart that he would bring the kids to Asgard.

And to also experience the bifrost beam.

Arriving at the...end of the bifrost, they dismounted as Thor spoke to Heimdall.

"Heimdall."

"Thor." Heimdall said without turning or moving.

"Heimdall, are there any calls? Prayers from the people who reside in our realms?" Thor asked.

"There are always calls for the gods name."

"Hahaha, very well, send us to a call where there is battle, we will have the honour of fighting besides our new friend Kali." Thor said as he patted Kali's shoulder bringing him closer.

"Heimdall, we meet again." Kali said as he smiled at the indifferent Heimdall

There was a hint of curiosity in Heimdall towards Kali but he didn't proceed with it.

"In Alfheim there is a call, a soldier of the light elves pray to Thor to watch over his battles and give him strength." Heimdall said.

"That one, we will go there and fight besides this soldier who calls upon my name." Thor said as he raised his hands in the air.

A ringing of metal sounded before seconds later his hammer came as he caught it.

"I will not only watch over this mortal's battle but we will fight with them." Thor said.

"Elves? Are they as pretty as legends say they are?" Kali chined in

Though it wasn't legends, more like fantasy from Midgard entertainment.

"What do your legends say?" Fandral asked.

Fandral smirked as if he knew something but would rather play it out.

"As far as I know they have pointed ears, are magical and have great beauty." Kali said.

"That sounds just about right, though the magic part is not entirely accurate my friend, they have a few Sorcerers but they don't all have such affinities to sorcery.

If anything you should stay by my side when we get there, I know my way around the realm.

Even the p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e elves." Fabdral said as he chuckled only for Sif to elbow his arm seizing his antics.

"P.l.e.a.s.u.r.e elves?" Kali asked genuinely shocked.

He knew elves have beauty and tempting figures but the fact that there was something called "P.l.e.a.s.u.r.e Elves" just makes it even more tempting.

"Why talk of such dull activities when we have a battle ahead of us." Thor said as he led everyone to the front of the Bifrost building standing at a circular gateway.

"No seriously, tell me more about this!!" Kali said behind as no one answered him.

Heimdall plunged his sword on the pedestal before turning.

A whirring sound came before the whole outer golden dome was going around at an impossible speed.

More movements were made before the circular gateway in front of them flashed and a sinking and whirling energy appeared in it.

"To battle!!" Thor screamed as he jumped fearlessly in it followed by Loki, Sif and the warrior three.

Kali then jumped without hesitation.

The first time he went through the Bifrost he was dumbfounded, because during the time in the bifrost he saw more than a few stars through their passing.

And the feeling was just unexplainable.

He saw the others flowing ahead of him, Kali took out his phone and recorded EVERYTHING.

•••••••

"Just do it!!" Markus commanded.

"What?! No!! That is sooo imm.a.t.u.r.e of you!! I'm not gonna do that, what are you, 10?" Ava said standing next to Markus with an expression of hopelessness.

The two were on top of a skyscr.a.p.er in Saudi Arabia looking out into another building watching a man with a suit on a phone call.

The two were following a lead on an agent pretty high up in the agency that went missing in Saudi Arabia.

Weird thing was that the Agent wasn't supposed to be in Saudi Arabia but in Egypt looking into a strange supernatural item.

The agent had a team on the call with him, but again the location of the agent showed he ditched his team and went to Saudi Arabia before the signal was lost.

And for the past few hours, both Markus and Ava have followed up leads on the agent through cameras and underworld informants before ending up with one man.

Which they were looking at across the street through the glass of the sky high building.

Gemal Hassan.

He was a businessman along with being an art curator, owning his own museum across the globe in a few major countries.

The two found out that the agent met up with this man before he disappeared.

The man was getting old, with a thick beard and gelled hair all grayed out.

"What does it matter how old I am, you don't get it, anyone would tell you to do the same, anyone would do it if they were you." Markus said persuading Ava to do what he was going on about.

"We are on a mission, this is not professional." Ava said not budding.

Markus stood up before crossing his arms and looking away.

"Hmmph, either you do it or I'm not cooking or bringing you food." Markus said pettily.

"Don't bring that in this, we already made a deal that you will deliver me food if I let you take the lead on this mission!!" Ava said panically.

During their jet ride here Markus learned that she spent her time in her quantum stabilizer in order to decrease the pain and such, so she doesn't have much time to get out and enjoy the outside world other than doing missions with her suit.

When Markus heard that he teased her about how many delicious meals she is missing out on, he even said something about him knowing how to "cook."

Ava then saw an opportunity and made Markus bring these foods for her when he was around the S.H.I.E.L.D. buildings.

At first Markus refused saying he doesn't have time to babysit her and all, until Ava traded in the mission's leading role for it.

Seeing Markus not budging from his words, Ava scoffed unbelievably before she snatched a small hook like device from Markus.

"Fine, but I will be the one to decide what to eat, not you…" Ava said, staring at Markus.

"Haha no problem ghost girl, now I'll wait." Markus said before giggling giddily.

Ava sigh in defeat before putting on a white mask then a hood over her head, she walked near the edge and raised the device she snatched from Markus and hooked it on a line connecting the two buildings.

"You better watch my back, Markus." Ava said.

"Duude, it's Red Hood, I'm wearing this suit for a reason!!" Markus w.h.i.n.ed to her.

"Not when you're not wearing a mask." Ava said.

"Oh shitt!!" Markus touched his face only to feel his mask not there and reached for his inner jacket to grab it and put it on.

"Okay got it." Markus said.

Ava stood there staring at the boy before jumping letting the hook take her to the other side of the building easily.

But not before muttering a word.

"Idiot."

Markus' face twitched before he glared at the ghost girls back.

"What the hell did you call me?"
