“Master, stop messing around and take a look at my student.” Bai Ruan slipped through the gate of the house, far away from Yun Qing, for fear of being teased by the Bear Master again.

“Not messing around, not messing around. Let this teacher calculate.” Yun Qing stopped talking nonsense and tied his slightly longer hair in a short braid behind his head. He then fumbled for a moment to adjust both sides of his big pants. He took out a compass and lifted its lid. The surface was tilted, and some sand poured out. “Little wolf pup, what’s your birth date?”

Bai Ruan recognised this compass. This was a special compass recorded in ancient books. It was said to have been used by the founder of their cultivation school. The one in Yun Qing’s hands was the one technical expert, Yun Zhen Master, personally restored according to the ancient records and gave it to him.

The function of this compass was much more than that of ordinary compasses. Unfortunately, the raw materials were too rare, and the restoration steps were extremely cumbersome. Yun Zhen only restored one in his life, even he himself didn’t have one. Needless to say, Bai Ruan also didn’t have it.

As Lang Jing Feng reported his birth date, Yun Qing slightly closed his eyes, pinched his fingers, and in a dignified manner, fiddled with the compass a few times. He squinted to observe the direction of the long and short pointers on the disk, looked for a while, and said, “This Master’s compass shows that this wolf pup has two souls on his body. It is estimated that he was possessed by something dirty, which has something to do with lowering his merit by 80%.”

Lang Jing Feng was not afraid after hearing it, and calmly asked, “Can you get it out?”

“Firstly, We have to know what it is.” Yun Qing walked around Lang Jing Feng, but he didn’t see anything unusual. He continued, “Follow me into the house.”

Bai Ruan and Lang Jing Feng were led by Yun Qing into an antique Chinese-style side room. Yun Zhen followed Yun Qing into the house like a spirit behind him, standing far away in the corner, trying not to disturb nor let Yun Qing leave his sight.

“Take off your clothes and let me have a look.” Yun Qing said.

Lang Jing Feng happily took off his uniform jacket, tore off his tie, and unbuttoned his shirt. When he did these actions, those encroaching wolf eyes continuously stared at Bai Ruan, as if he was about to take off Bai Ruan’s clothes after taking off his.

“Don’t look at me.” Being stared upon, Bai Ruan was awkward and sternly scolded him. He stood behind a large vase that was taller than a person to remove Lang Jing Feng from his sight.

“Do I still need to take the rest off?” Lang Jing Feng took off his top and threw his shirt and jacket on the armchair of his side.

“No need, no need. It can be seen. It’s right here!” Yun Qing pointed at Lang Jing Feng’s waist, and then called Bai Ruan over. “Apprentice, come over and learn a little bit. In the future, if you encounter something like this again, you’ll know what’s the matter.”

Bai Ruan stepped out from behind the vase.

Because of the strong kiss in the morning, he felt a little allergic to Lang Jing Feng. Since Lang Jing Feng had unbuttoned the first button of his collar, Bai Ruan was too embarrassed to spare him a glance.

“I’m telling you to look at him, not the ground.” Yun Qing tapped Bai Ruan’s drooping head with his knuckles.

“Teacher Bai, what’s wrong with you?” Lang Jing Feng showed a knowing look and a smile in his voice.

“Nothing.” Bai Ruan gritted his teeth. Biting his lips, he raised his eyes to look at Lang Jing Feng’s naked upper body.

Lang Jing Feng usually had the habit of running. In addition, he had been training in the school track team since middle school, and he was tall, which made him very attractive. The lines of the two clavicles were neat and clean, with no fat on his body, his chest and abdominal muscles were also strong and beautiful. The unique sense of being slim and the strength of a mature man combined to make a very seductive figure.

However, the better Lang Jing Feng looked, the more uncomfortable Bai Ruan was. At this moment, he would rather look into spicy eyes1.

“Have you seen it?” Yun Qing urged.

Bai Ruan’s uneasy gaze became solemn the moment he noticed the abnormality. “I saw it.”

“What did you see?” Lang Jing Feng followed the eyes of the master and apprentice, but he couldn’t find anything wrong with him.

“You have to open your sky eyes2 to see it.” Bai Ruan said with a solemn expression, “You have a black bite mark on your waist. It was bitten by two teeth. It should be…”

Lang Jing Feng smiled. “Two teeth bites. A rabbit?”

Bai Ruan was so angry that he wanted to kick him with his hind legs, and replied irritably, “Snake! It’s a snake!”

This student can’t ask for it, really shouldn’t ask for it!

“The one that hurt him is a snake demon?” Yun Qing confirmed.

“It’s very likely.” Bai Ruan said cautiously, “There is no direct evidence, but I’m 90% certain.”

Yun Qing nodded and put the compass close to Lang Jing Feng’s waist. As soon as the compass came close to the bite mark that was invisible to the naked eye, the pointer on the disk turned frantically. When the pointer was still, Yun Qing did some calculations and said with confidence, “Small problem, it’s easy to solve.” As he said, he beckoned Zhen Yun over. “Senior Brother.”

Yun Zhen walked over. His voice was low, “What?”

“Go and help me prepare a few things.” Yun Qing rubbed his hands and said, “My sword, cinnabar, talisman paper…”

Yun Zhen took note of them one by one, and silently went out to prepare for Yun Qing like a shinigami sent by his Master. Yun Qing sat down on the Grand Master’s chair behind him, picked up the cup and took a sip of tea, and leisurely crossed his legs to look at Lang Jing Feng. He then looked down at the compass, and suddenly said, “Little wolf boy, your fate is quite interesting.”

Lang Jing Feng, “What’s wrong with my fate?”

Yun Qing joyfully replied, “Currently, your fate is that the four directions will converge from midnight to midday, from sunrise to sunset3. The Red Luan Star4 on the top of your head is moving, and the love luck is entering your life. If the marriage is prosperous, you will succeed in learning. Do you understand what I mean, boy? It means you have to fall in love early to get into a good university…”

Lang Jing Feng’s dark pupils slightly lit up.

“Master!” Bai Ruan interrupted in horror, “Why did you calculate all the way to his fate in marriage?

“Isn’t this just a matter of convenience? I’m showing him a clear path as today’s gift for our first meeting. This wolf pup has this trajectory fate of ‘Earthly Love Luck’5. His future fame and fortune will be given to him in the marriage within these two years. So if he were to fall in love early, just open one eye and close the other. Don’t interfere. Hitting the mandarin duck6 is equivalent to harming his future.” Yun Qing kept talking. At the same time, he looked at Bai Ruan like someone with an occupational disease, bowed his head and did calculations with the compass a few times.

Bai Ruan hadn’t recovered from the shock caused by Lang Jing Feng’s strange life fate. Seeing Yun Qing was calculating for himself, he hurriedly turned his face away and said, “Don’t look into mine.”

“It’s too late, I’ve already finished calculating,” Yun Qing happily patted his thigh, “What a day! Your Red Luan star is also moving!”

Lang Jing Feng turned his face and cast his eyes on Bai Ruan.

Bai Ruan felt Lang Jing Feng was looking at him. His head buzzed and he stammered, “Master, don’t talk nonsense. It’s impossible!”

Yun Qing was unhappy. “What do you mean by nonsense? You have no idea how accurate your teacher’s compass is. Your Red Luan star is about to be knotted. Isn’t it a joyous event if it moves? What is it called?”

Lang Jing Feng pulled out a handsome but slightly mischievous smile, and said, “What a coincidence, Teacher Bai.”

Bai Ruan took a deep breath and once again pressed down the urge to kick him with his hind legs. “Coincidence? What coincidence?!”

Lang Jing Feng replied leisurely, “Why do you think this dating also includes other aspects? If I date and you also date, isn’t it a coincidence?”

Bai Ruan couldn’t think of any powerful words to fight back. The round tail trembled with anger, and it popped up as soon as it was pressed back. After several times, Bai Ruan simply pressed his hand to his butt and didn’t move. The round tail struggled, wanting to come out, but was cruelly suppressed by its owner!

Just as the atmosphere in the side hall was filled with tension, Yun Zhen came in with the necessary items for casting spells. There was a basket hanging on his arm, and it was full of eggs.

“Come, stand here and don’t move.” Yun Qing fixed Lang Jing Feng’s position, took the basket, and placed more than ten eggs away from Lang Jing Feng’s feet and towards the entrance of the hall. He then picked up a piece of talisman and pasted it on the bite mark on Lang Jing Feng’s waist.

The talisman paper that touched the bite marks quickly carbonised and turned black as if it encountered strong acid. It scorched and cracked in the blink of an eye, and the old bark peeled off from Lang Jing Feng’s body in pieces. Suddenly, the talisman was peeled off, and a black snake with a thickness of a thumb and the length of a chopstick emerged from nowhere. It fell to the ground after slithering down Lang Jing Feng’s long legs.

“Fuck!” Lang Jing Feng hurriedly stepped sideways to intercept between Bai Ruan and the snake, while Bai Ruan vigorously jumped onto the Grand Master’s chair.

Fortunately, the snake had no interest in Lang Jing Feng and Bai Ruan, and just greedily and eagerly swallowed the raw eggs on the ground as if it hadn’t eaten for hundreds of years. This snake had no body nor even any sort of thickness. There were no patterns or scales on the body. It was just purely thin and black. It was not so much a snake, it would be better to say that it was the shadow of a snake. After swallowing several eggs, its body had no tendency to become three-dimensional at all.

“Haha, it’s out!” Yun Qing held up the peach-wood sword like a kid, followed the snake and watched excitedly. After the flake snake ate a few eggs, the speed of swallowing and crawling slowed down a lot. After the sixth one, it didn’t continue. It turned its head and slithered in the direction of Lang Jing Feng. It seemed like it wanted to go back, but Yun Qing didn’t give it a chance. He sprinted up and nailed seven inches of the snake with his peach-wood sword.

The snake struggled to twist, but it gradually started to weaken. It soon evaporated like a pool of black water exposed to the sun. There was nothing left on the ground except a row of unfinished eggs.

“Master, what was that?” Bai Ruan asked, still standing on the Grand Master’s chair.

“That was a Yin Snake.” Yun Qing held the peach-wood sword and looked at the tip of the sword, as if there was still a little bit of unfinished business. “This thing is something a snake demon can practise on. It must be a small snake that comes out of a nest and then kills and eats its siblings. The snake has a strong vengeance, and after such an unjust death, the resentment from those killed gathered together to become the Yin snake.”

After a pause, Yun Qing continued again, “The owner of the Yin Snake and the Yin Snake came from the same nest. They were originally connected by blood. He even ate their flesh and blood and merged them together in his stomach, and then guided them with spells. The Yin Snake became his incarnation and could help him share most of his bad karma, so whoever was attached to the Yin Snake would become black… I had heard of this thing when I was wandering outside ten years ago. Today was the first time I saw it.”

“Then what do these eggs and talismans do?” Bai Ruan asked curiously.

“The talisman is to purify, ” Yun Qing replied. The purification talisman was very common in Taoism, which could absorb filth and resentment. “It is the filthy energy that supports the activities of the yin snake. This talisman sucks it’s filthy energy away, and it becomes hungry. So it has to look for food. These eggs have been soaked in regular wine just now. The more they eat, the more uncomfortable they will be… Do you remember? The next time you see something like this, you’ll know how to deal with it, right?”

Bai Ruan listened carefully and nodded obediently. “I know, Master.”

“Teacher Bai,” Lang Jing Feng, who had been hanging out for a long time, swayed over still naked in front of Bai Ruan, and asked, “Look at me. Am I still emitting a black aura?”

Bai Ruan, “…”

Not looking!

The author has something to say:

Lang Jing Feng: Did you hear what the master said? Hitting the Mandarin Duck is equivalent to harming my future. Why are you doing this?

Bai Ruan Ruan: … I didn’t do anything!

Lang Jing Feng: I’m blaming you for not doing anything. Not letting me kiss, not letting me hug, and not dating me, aren’t you just beating our couple mandarin ducks? Do you still want me to enter the university? Do you still want China to prosper?

Bai Ruan Ruan: Ji!JiJiJi!!! (Vulgarity)

The wolf cub meets Bai Ruan Ruan, likes Bai Ruan Ruan, studies hard for Bai Ruan Ruan, this is his destiny~
