“Don’t think about that, it’s impossible.” Bai Ruan mechanically stood up and said, “Let’s go.”

“Where are you going?” Lang Jing Feng asked, with a hard tone which a student shouldn’t have, but more like a black bellied gong protecting an unreasonable shou that was attracting flirtatious attention.

Bai Ruan wanted to scold him, but after assessing the thickness of Lang Jing Feng’s face, he sensibly chose to give up. “I’m going to inspect the afternoon self-study class now.”

“Liar,” Lang Jing Feng chuckled softly, and physically enclosed Bai Ruan behind the desk. “You just want to hide from me.”

Bai Ruan tried his best to put on a calm expression, but his eyes were looking elsewhere. “No, the school has regulations. The homeroom teacher needs to show his presence in the class three times a day- morning, afternoon, and evening, with follow-up exercises to manage the students. If you want to get my salary deducted, you can continue blocking me.”

Lang Jing Feng looked at Bai Ruan for a moment, then stepped aside to let him go.

Just as Bai Ruan was passing by, Lang Jing Feng suddenly stretched out his hand and hooked the cuff of Bai Ruan’s shirt with his little finger, and called, “Teacher Bai.”

Fearing that Bai Ruan would be uncomfortable with his demon energy, his fingertips didn’t touch him, but it was a few millimeters away from Bai Ruan’s wrist. This detailed action hooked Bai Ruan’s heart, along with his cuff.

Lang Jing Feng half-sat half-leaned on the table. He looked down at Bai Ruan’s white-washed cuffs, retracted his hands, and with a tone as soft as a milk dog1 trying to please his master, “I’ll make up my homework and review it later. I won’t make any trouble for you… Can you stay with me in the office? You can turn on the fan.”

Bai Ruan vaguely agreed and his heart rate inexplicably rose.

Lang Jing Feng lifted his eye and looked at Bai Ruan’s face. The teenager smiled with a deep sense of emotion and straightforwardly said, “I just want to keep looking at you. I really won’t do anything else.”

The gradually rising heart rate instantly jumped to its peak, Bai Ruan’s heart beat a few times, his chest tightened, and his tongue was tied. “Yo-you quickly make good use of the self-study period in the afternoon to complete your overdue homework. In the afternoon… there is still class, don’t miss it. “After he finished speaking, he walked out of the office in a panic, slightly dazed for a while.

In fact, Lang Jing Feng didn’t do much just now. He didn’t even touch Bai Ruan, but Bai Ruan was more awkward and stiff than the day he was forcibly kissed. The moment Lang Jing Feng hooked his cuff with his little finger was repeatedly played back by his brain without hesitation.

Don’t think… Bai Ruan rubbed his eyebrows and put his face close to the small window above the back door to check if students were playing truant. However, after standing in front of the small window for a while, Bai Ruan realised that he was not observing the students at all. The one who had violated such rules was the homeroom teacher himself.

Bai Ruan vigorously wiped his face, silently warned himself to straighten his thoughts and not to be skewed by the ignorant students. He then walked into the classroom and circled a few times before standing still on the podium.

Occasionally, students would quickly raise their heads and glance at him. Bai Ruan knew that this was because the time for self-study during the afternoon was obviously longer than usual, but he would rather continue than go back to the office.

Bai Ruan’s heart was in a mess. After spending ten minutes in the classroom, he descended from the east side’s staircase to go to the first year toilets.

After coming out, Bai Ruan intended to go to the playground or secretly play basketball when there were no students outside. Last year, the school teachers here had a friendly basketball match with teachers from other schools. They originally wanted him to be a mascot to sell meng2 to the audience off the court, but they didn’t expect Bai Ruan’s jumping ability, running and reaction speed to be so amazing and impressive. He looked fair, delicate and weak, but when he was on the court, he was faster than a rabbit. The momentum of his jumps was like a rocket lifting off. The rebounding work in the first half was almost all done by Bai Ruan. As for the second half… Bai Ruan played too little and was unfamiliar with the rules. He made five fouls and had to honorably leave afterwards.

In short, after playing so many games, Bai Ruan fell in love with playing basketball and felt that it was especially suitable for him. Over the weekends whenever he had time, he would plan to play some matches with a few teachers. Sometimes, he would play with the male students in his class during long breaks.

Bai Ruan originally walked out excitedly. But halfway through, he remembered that from the office window, he could see the playground. Fearing that Lang Jing Feng would go down to mess with him, he turned back with a bitter face. After hesitating for a moment, he went up to the rooftop from the west side stairs. He intended to stay there and kill some time by sunbathing before going down for the second Chinese period of Class Six in the afternoon.

At the same time, Lang Jing Feng, who waited anxiously for Bai Ruan’s return but when he didn’t appear, made an evolutionary leap from an innocent milk dog to a black wolf in just twenty minutes. He strode out of the office with a gloomy face.

He first walked to the back door of Class Four, put his face on the small window and sniffed, catching the warm and fluffy smell of Bai Ruan.

Lang Jing Feng liked the scent very much. If it wasn’t for the fear of scaring Bai Ruan, he would have liked to take the clothes off of Bai Ruan and smell it every day.

By the window inhaling Bai Ruan’s scent, Lang Jing Feng became more restless and unbearable, feeling that he had to immediately catch Bai Ruan in his arms and rub him to get comfortable.

In the classroom, the student who thought Bai Ruan had come to catch him turned his head and looked at the black-faced Lang Jing Feng in the small window for a second.

Confused student, “…”

Was it no longer enough for you to pretend to be a representative of Chinese or Mathematics? Are you here to pretend to be the homeroom teacher?

Lang Jing Feng retreated two steps, squatting unwillingly on the corridor like a little wolf that had lost its only prey. Turning his head left and right, his nose fluttered slightly, as if he were sniffing.

After sniffing it twice, Lang Jing Feng got up and walked a short distance towards the east side stairs, and then squatted on the ground to smell. After repeating this several times, Lang Jing Feng followed Bai Ruan’s scent on the corridor floor smoothly and traced it to the men’s restroom for the first year students.

Coming out of the men’s room on the first floor, Lang Jing Feng’s face became even uglier. Then, he repeated his old tricks, sniffing like a police dog, and followed the scent to the west stairs all the way to the rooftop.

With a bang, Lang Jing Feng pushed open the rooftop door.

The afternoon sun that baked the stone slabs on the roof were slightly hot, and the warm wind blew gently. It was a good place to take a nap.

Bai Ruan was lying on his back with his headrest and arms on his back, bathing comfortably in the afternoon sun. Hearing the sound of the door, his lazy half-closed eyes suddenly rounded.

Bai Ruan sat up like he was shocked by electricity!

“Hello Teacher,” Lang Jing Feng’s wolf eyes narrowed slightly and strode towards Bai Ruan. With an elusive look on his face, he slowly asked, “Weren’t you supposed to come back to the staffroom after finishing your lesson? Where did you go?”

“How did you…” Bai Ruan almost stopped his heart from being frightened by the sudden appearance of the wolf cub, and hurried back a few steps. He asked, “How did you know I was here?”

Lang Jing Feng touched the tip of his nose with a despondent expression, and concisely said, “By using my sense of smell. Next time if you want to hide from me, remember to hide three kilometers away.”

“I’m not hiding from you. What’s there to hide? I came up here to get some fresh air.” Bai Ruan lied, and quickly walked towards the door while pressing down his emerged petrified round tail. “Let’s go, go downstairs to complete your homework.”

Lang Jing Feng coldly smiled, grabbed Bai Ruan’s tie, similar to how Liu Zhen had caught him, and pulled the other towards him. He embraced him with all his strength. Their bodies didn’t cling together, but they were very close.

“Lang Jing Feng! What are you doing!?” Bai Ruan’s legs softened and his face paled in shock. He couldn’t get away, and didn’t dare to touch Lang Jing Feng.

“Teacher Bai,” Lang Jing Feng glared at Bai Ruan’s beautiful face with love and hatred. He gritted his teeth and continued in a rough tone, “I really want to properly chase you and slowly let you accept me. You can’t possibly not give me a chance, right? Regarding the other issues, I’ll endure it, but you even deliberately run upstairs to use the toilet. Was it that bad?3 You don’t want to see me that much? Are you forcing me to bully the master and destroy the ancestor4?”

Bai Ruan loosened his tie a little bit, and choked on six words with a sad expression, “You are not allowed to deceive the master and destroy the ancestor.5“

Lang Jing Feng’s Adam’s apple rolled. He closed his eyes, controlled the fire burning within him, and said, “I have learnt to restrain my demon aura. Every day I practice until four o’clock in the morning. What is there that you still don’t like? I’ll change.”

Bai Ruan couldn’t help asking back, “Then…what is it about me that you like? I can also…change?”

Lang Jing Feng’s heart was inflamed. He couldn’t wait to press Bai Ruan down, strip the other down, kiss and rub him to make him scared with tears begging for mercy to resolve his hatred. “From head to toe. If you want me to not like you, you have to reincarnate to your next life.”

What he said was not for show. At first, he just thought that Bai Ruan was good-looking and suited his appetite. In his fantasy, he was a gentle, soft, kind and cute little crybaby that stunned him into an invalid person. Later, he found that there were some discrepancies with the real Bai Ruan and the one in his fantasy but this made him desire Bai Ruan even more.

On that Monday night, Lang Jing Feng went home tossing and turning, and couldn’t sleep. His heart was full of Bai Ruan, thinking that a fluffy, little palm-sized white rabbit in the big forest meeting a wild animal was just a bite issue. But this little thing that feared his touch, forced himself to overcome his fear several times to approach him in order to prevent him from being condemned. He had to spend two years of demon power to save Shen Jia Han, and personally challenged five demon dogs in order to prevent Zhou Hao Chen from being beaten.

What the hell am I thinking!? Lang Jing Feng thought about the Teacher Xiao Bai who looked exactly like a white sticky cake but had a strong and righteous heart.

Bai Ruan’s appearance, personality, character, gender, scent… they all matched Lang Jing Feng’s preferences. It couldn’t be more perfect. Plus with Yun Qing’s predictions, no matter how one looked at him and Bai Ruan, there were some feelings between them. Marriage meant destiny. If it was missed, he would absolutely regret it for life.

Thus, that night, Lang Jing Feng, who had made up his mind to be Bai Ruan in this life, pulled his face off in his heart, crumpled and threw it away.

What face did he need when chasing his wife?

“I’m asking you a question,” Lang Jing Feng urged when Bai Ruan was silent again, “I’ll change whatever you don’t like about me.”

“You’re my student,” Bai Ruan said helplessly, “and a male at that.”

“I’ll graduate after a year, so I won’t be your student after graduation.” Lang Jing Feng said, softening his tone and teased Bai Ruan, “Dearest respectable Teacher Bouncy, for sexual orientation, this kind of small difficulty一 can’t you overcome it for this student that you value most?”

Bai Ruan, “…”

Seeing that Lang Jing Feng didn’t take him seriously, Bai Ruan gritted his teeth and forcefully threw out his sly trick with a slightly trembling voice. “Actually, the main point is…I was bitten by a wolf before I became a spirit and I almost died. So there is a psychological shadow when I face wolves. Even if you restrain your demon energy, I still can’t help but be afraid of you. I dare not say it too straight-forwardly because of my Master’s prediction, but…” Bai Ruan placed emphasis on every word he said but he did not dare to extinguish all of Lang Jing Feng’s hope. However, at the same time, he wanted him to understand how impossible it was between them. “Take a thousand steps back6, even if you are not my student, even if I like men, towards wolves…”

Lang Jing Feng’s jawline became tight, staring at Bai Ruan for a long time in silence, slowly loosening his grip on Bai Ruan’s tie.

Bai Ruan continued cautiously, “So if it’s possible, it would be better to change your personal preference…”

Lang Jing Feng interrupted him, “What you mean is that it’s not that you can never overcome the other aspects, the biggest problem is that I’m a wolf?”

Bai Ruan hummed inaudibly.

Lang Jing Feng’s lips were pressed into a line and he was silent for a while. It was not known what he was thinking about, but his expression gradually turned from cloudy to clear and he joked, “Racial discrimination ah?”

Bai Ruan didn’t know to laugh or to cry. “No, it’s just a psychological shadow.”

All right,” Lang Jing Feng nodded. “Now I know.”

“So…” Bai Ruan reminded him cautiously, “You still have to study, don’t stop studying because of this.”

“Study. Of course, I’ll continue to study.” Lang Jing Feng smiled suddenly, revealing two small fangs that were slightly sharper than that of ordinary people.

He said that he understood, but there was nothing on his face to show the hopeless loss of a relationship. On the contrary, his tone of voice was quite relaxed.

Bai Ruan couldn’t figure out his thoughts, but didn’t dare to probe. He only sounded out by saying, “Then you go back to complete your homework and write your reflection, I…”

Lang Jing Feng glanced at him and said softly, “En. you can bask in the sun.7“

After speaking, Lang Jing Feng whistled and ran down the stairs, as happy as Pei Qi The Pig8.

Bai Ruan, “…”

Did this wolf cub have the wrong idea?

However, what was unexpected to Bai Ruan was that after the rooftop talk ended, Lang Jing Feng did restrain himself a lot in the next few days. He didn’t try to get close to Bai Ruan, didn’t delay doing his homework and obediently attended lectures.

Apart from feeling relieved, Bai Ruan’s heart was still a little unsettled. He continuously felt that Lang Jing Feng’s reaction on the day of the rooftop didn’t seem to be one of giving up and things were probably not that simple.

In addition, the demon energy on Lang Jing Feng’s body also continued to fade at an extremely fast speed. The two didn’t see each other on Sunday. When Bai Ruan walked into the classroom on Monday morning, he could hardly smell the demon energy. For a moment he thought that Lang Jing Feng was not in the classroom, but when he looked at the last row, Lang Jing Feng happened to be looking at him, too. The two met eyes for a moment and Bai Ruan hurriedly turned away.

Sure enough, this illusion of calm only lasted until Monday night.

On Monday, Bai Ruan personally supervised the evening self-study of Class Four. The school bell rang and Bai Ruan returned to the office to pack his things. As soon as he stepped out the door, he saw Lang Jing Feng standing with his arms leaning on the wall opposite the office door. A handsome and arrogant smile appeared at the corner of his mouth and he greeted, “Good evening, Teacher Bai.”

Bai Ruan had an inexplicable premonition that something bad was going to happen. He nodded coldly to Lang Jing Feng, and turned around to leave.

“Come back.” Lang Jing Feng’s voice was smiling and he caught up with him a few steps, grabbing Bai Ruan’s wrist.

Bai Ruan reflexively became nervous, but the anticipated sharp and biting demon energy didn’t appear. The nervous system that was not stimulated by the demon energy commanded the tight muscles of the whole body and ordered them to slowly relax.

“Come here. Let me show you something.” Lang Jing Feng said.

The author has something to say:

Lang Jing Crazy: Show you something.

Bai Ruan Ruan: Prepares to self-poke his eyes.

Lang Jing is Crazy:…Fuck, it’s not that! Do I have this kind of image in your heart?
