Liu Zhen was hashly reprimanding him when he was caught off guard by the bad boy’s laughter. He slammed a hand on his table and roared, “Are you laughing again? What are you laughing at!”

Lang Jing Feng did not answer and withdrew his gaze from Bai Ruan.

“You think it’s funny, don’t you? Finish the homework that I’ve assigned these past two days!” Liu Zhen grabbed a blank workbook that Lang Jing Feng didn’t even write his name on, and threw it on the floor by his feet. “If you can’t finish it today, don’t think of leaving!”

Lang Jing Feng was still like a sculpture and did not respond.

Seeing him silent, Liu Zhen continued, “Pick up the exercise book!”

The young man replied in a playful tone, “Teacher, it was you who threw it.”

His implication being that whoever threw the workbook, would be the one to pick it up.

Liu Zhen choked and was wondering how he could leave in a dignified manner, when he suddenly remembered that Bai Ruan was also in the office.

Liu Zhen abruptly turned around and directed all his anger on Bai Ruan who was in the corner, relying on his age and qualifications to make this young teacher comment a few words. “Teacher Bai! This Lang Jing Feng in your class is too shameless! Not doing homework nor attending classes, what is the difference between him and the bastards in society? Why don’t you say a few words?”

“Uh, Teacher Liu…” Bai Ruan raised his eyes embarrassedly. From the corner of his eyes, he saw Lang Jing Feng looking at him with a narrow smile.

Bai Ruan knew that as the homeroom teacher, he had to come forward to deal with Lang Jing Feng, but it was a huge challenge to reprimand or order him. In addition, the embarrassing incident that happened in the men’s restroom yesterday made it even more difficult. Bai Ruan pursed his lips and the cold sweat that was on his forehead instantly rolled down. His pair of lustrous black eyes glanced around helplessly, and his cheeks flushed bright red.

Lang Jing Feng looked at his teacher Xiao Bai who was so fiercely threatened by his colleague.

Liu Zhen had never seen Bai Ruan acting so out of character and frowned suspiciously. “Mr. Bai?”

“Lang Jing Feng.” Bai Ruan woke up from his daze, wiped off the sweat from his forehead and tried to stabilise his expression and tone. “Pick up the book first.”

After speaking, Bai Ruan’s back moved nervously towards the window as if he was ready to jump out of it to escape at any point in time.

Lang Jing Feng stared at his helpless face for a moment, slowly took a step forward, bent over and picked up the exercise book.

Seeing that the student had repented with his actions, Liu Zhen pursued his victory. “Do you know what you did wrong? Apologise to me!”

Lang Jing Feng wiped the droplets of saliva that Liu Zhen had sprayed on his chin with his thumb, knitted his brows and said nothing.

After the two confrontations, Bai Ruan realised that Lang Jing Feng would give himself a bit of face. In order to expose the matter, he had to bite the bullet and help him. “Lang Jing Feng, apologise to Teacher Liu. Afterwards, complete the math homework that you didn’t do.”

Because of fear, Bai Ruan’s voice trembled uncontrollably and sounded almost imploring.

Lang Jing Feng glanced at him, sighing reluctantly and mechanically apologised, “I’m sorry, Teacher Liu.”

Liu Zhen scolded him for a long time. He could see that this kid was so thick-skinned that it could be used as a shield. Seeing that he had calmed down and didn’t bother to refute any more, he just left a parting sentence, “Listen to your homeroom teacher and complete your overdue homework!”

After speaking, he took a workbook from the pile of homework that was stacked up like a hill and began to check the completion of a student’s math homework. Upon seeing this, Lang Jing Feng opened his own workbook, took a pen, swept his eyes over the opened workbook in front of Liu Zhen, swiped the pen and quickly wrote on his workbook: AADCC……

Liu Zhen was taken aback for a moment and almost lost his breath in anger. “I asked you to complete your homework! Who told you to copy it!”

While he was cursing at him, Lang Jing Feng hurriedly glanced at the next five answers.

Liu Zhen snapped and closed the exercise book in front of him and waved his hand like shooing a fly. “Go! Don’t write here, you can write at Teacher Bai’s desk!”

“Huh?” Bai Ruan was struck by thunder and bounced off his chair. He was about to run away, but Liu Zhen said without looking back, “Teacher Bai, help me watch him. You don’t have any classes this afternoon, right?”

“But…” Bai Ruan still wanted to find an excuse to run away, but Lang Jing Feng had already walked over with the math workbook. He put the exercise book on his desk, hunched his back and filled out the five answers that he had just memorised. The two of them were just a dozen centimeters apart.

Bai Ruan’s desk was located at the corner of the office, with a window on the left side, a wall at the back and a desk in front. Bai Ruan could only exit from the right. However, the passage on the right was blocked by Lang Jing Feng. If he wanted to go out, he could only tell the young man to step aside, and then walk out of the narrow space. In the process, he would most likely touch him!

The memory of almost losing his life when he was young flashed back like an old movie. Bai Ruan’s thin body shook slightly and he fell back onto his chair in defeat.

The wolf demon’s aggressive energy filled every inch of Bai Ruan’s body. He tried to hold onto his logical mind that was sinking like quicksand, but his brain had already sounded the first-level alarm regardless of it. All the cells in his body screamed wildly under the drive of his instinct. The sound of blood rushing, the sound of heartbeat, the sound of rapid breathing, the sound of gnashing teeth, all turned into a scream of horror signalling… the wolf was coming!

Bai Ruan’s eyes were hot as he sniffled in fear.

He was like a little rabbit blocked by a hungry wolf at the mouth of the cave, and did not dare to make a sound that would attract the attention of natural enemies. He collapsed into a ball on the seat and the round tail appeared on his behind, pushing his pants up. Bai Ruan didn’t dare to use his hands to press onto the obvious bulge and quietly moved his behind, covering his tail with the back of the chair.

Lang Jing Feng filled in the ten answers that he had copied restlessly. He threw his pen away, slowly stood up with his hands in his pants’ pockets and squinted his pair of wolf eyes, looking out at the playground outside the window.

At this time, Bai Ruan moved lightly, Lang Jing Feng’s gaze turned and he looked at Bai Ruan’s soft black hair condescendingly. He was a little curious about how such a small plaything that was as soft as dough and was easily bullied could be a homeroom teacher.

Perceiving that his natural enemy was staring at him at close range, Bai Ruan’s eyes turned red and he tightened his legs that had just been brought together to prevent the urge to relieve himself.

The poor teacher Xiao Bai was so traumatised with fear that he wanted to pee…

At this time, the morning self-study bell rang. Liu Zhen got up and went to a class to check. Several other class teachers also left the office one after another.

Bai Ruan tearfully used his eyes to send rescue signals to every teacher who walked out of the office. However, no one noticed his silent plea. Soon, only Bai Ruan and Lang Jing Feng were left in the room.

Lonely wolves and rabbits being together in the same room, no one would even know if they were eaten by the wolves. Bai Ruan’s tears of fear swirled in his eye sockets, his nerves tightened further and his whole person hovered on the edge of collapse.

When Lang Jing Feng saw that Liu Zhen had left and Bai Ruan had his head drooped down with an expression of not intending to meddle, he arrogantly walked to Liu Zhen’s desk and pulled out a math workbook to copy.

As soon as he took the exercise book in his hand, he turned around and saw Bai Ruan walking towards the door. His head slumped unnaturally as if he was afraid that Lang Jing Feng would see his face.

Lang Jing Feng was startled.

The bad boy made the gentle and kind-hearted little teacher cry. In order not to let people find out, he had to walk out of the office and secretly go to the water room to wash his face. No matter how one looked at this scene, it was so obvious that he didn’t even need to ponder about it.

Lang Jing Feng quickly rushed to the door in two to three steps and grabbed Bai Ruan’s hand that was about to open the door. He looked closer at his face.

Teacher Bai who failed to run and was caught, “…”

Bai Ruan had been holding back tears and did not cry. He had not expected to be caught by this wolf.

Feeling that Lang Jing Feng’s firm and powerful hands were squeezing his wrists, Bai Ruan instantly remembered the scene where he was thrown onto the ground by the claws of a hungry wolf when he was a child. He was so scared that he almost urinated his pants where he was standing, and his tears were even more uncontrollable. Unable to hold back, his tears split in two and slowly rolled down, they successfully met at the tip of the chin and hit Lang Jing Feng’s school uniform sleeve with a drip, causing the other magical damage of HP-9999.

Upon seeing him cry, Lang Jing Feng was dumbfounded and cursed, “…Fuck.”

“I’ll go out for a moment…” Bai Ruan pleaded with a choked sob. His eyes were faintly red, his eyelashes were moist and his eyes were very beautiful. Every pore on his body exuded a little white rabbit’s scent of pleading love.

As Lang Jing Feng stared at Bai Ruan’s face, his Adam’s apple rolled. Not only did he not let go, the wolf paw that was holding Bai Ruan’s wrist tightened a little bit.

Being scolded, or physically punished, these things he didn’t care about, but this…

After a moment of silence, Lang Jing Feng licked his lips. His voice was slightly hoarse as he said, “I’ll complete my homework.”

With a single thought, Bai Ruan only wanted to escape. He did not even realise the reason for Lang Jing Feng’s change of attitude as he tightened his lips and did not answer. He wanted to forcefully press the doorknob to open the door. However, Lang Jing Feng turned on his side and leaned on the door, completely sealing Bai Ruan’s escape route.

Lang Jing Feng lowered his eyes to look at Bai Ruan. With a rare gentle tone, he whispered, “I was wrong, Teacher Bai. Don’t cry.”

……

Ten seconds later, Bai Ruan was forcibly pulled back to his desk by Lang Jing Feng to sit down. He was still standing next to Bai Ruan, unknowingly blocking his path.

Bai Ruan’s mood at this moment was no different from that of a little white rabbit that had been taken back to the wolf cave by the wolf as reserve food.

The urge to urinate was also very difficult to hold in.

It was simply hopeless.

The only thing that could barely be regarded as comfort was that Bai Ruan’s fear had reached its peak. No matter how frightened he got, he would not be any more afraid than he was now. Moreover, the most important thing was that Lang Jing Feng had indeed not hurt him and had taken the initiative to admit his mistakes. This caused the buzzing alarm in Bai Ruan to drop a notch… He sat motionless for a while as a part of his sanity returned and the terrified brain slowly started again.

His brain began to work. Bai Ruan soon realised that Lang Jing Feng’s attitude had turned 180 degrees when he’d cried.

He scrutinised his student closely. The black negative merits still pulsed around him like small clusters of black flames. Bai Ruan could even smell a bloody breath, but felt that it didn’t matter.

Bai Ruan was in a contradictory mood. On the one hand, he was afraid of Lang Jing Feng and couldn’t help guessing how many bad things he had done. On the other, he felt that he should not judge based on students’ past mistakes. Seeing that he was crying, the young man knew how to apologise with guilt. This showed that Lang Jing Feng was not too bad…

Lang Jing Feng’s foundation was poor. Even if he wanted to complete his homework, he still couldn’t do the questions he didn’t understand. He turned a few pages irritably, quickly scanned the headache-inducing math symbols in the workbook and filled in some numbers in the blank questions, and threw the pen on the table again.

As if afraid of making Bai Ruan cry once more, Lang Jing Feng patiently explained, “I really don’t know how to do it. It’s not that I don’t want to complete it.”

The round tail behind Bai Ruan was trembling in nervousness. He wanted Lang Jing Feng to complete it quickly so he whispered, “Teacher Liu has the answer sheet on his desk.”

Lang Jing Feng rejoiced as he reached out his hand to wipe a small teardrop on Bai Ruan’s face and replied, “Didn’t you disallow me to copy? You even cried from anger.”

Bai Ruan was frightened by the act of him reaching out to touch him. He stammered, “No, it’s not copying… You’ll know when you take a look at it.”

The set of exercise books actually had detailed answers. The steps to solve each problem were listed in great detail. However, in order to prevent students from developing the bad habit of looking at the answers whenever they didn’t understand something, the versions without answers were distributed to students. However, for students like Lang Jing Feng who had a really poor foundation, they were allowed to look at the solutions. For them to understand the answers clearly was considered to be an improvement.

Lang Jing Feng was silent for a moment and did not go to Liu Zhen’s desk to find the answers. Instead, with a discontented tone he asked, “You’re afraid of me?”

The author has something to say:

Lang Jing Feng: I made Teacher Xiao Bai cry when I didn’t hand in my homework.  Crybaby dumpling, this kind of small matter could make you cry…

Bai Ruan Ruan: …I don’t usually cry! Go and fuck your carrots!1
