Meeting Them

Yoon Gi's POV

After my phone call with Lilac, I put it aside and I set a reminder to call her tonight. I know that when I start my work I will totally forget about the reality world. I will be in my fantasy world. I couldn't help it but add some sweet melody into our new songs. I hope PD-nim and our members can accept this type of song. I was listening and composing until I heard my reminder. Wow time passed by really fast when you're doing important stuff. I took a cup of ramyeon(1) and teopokki(2) from a hidden drawer. Well I hid it here just in case I forgot about my meal. I went out to get hot water to cook those two. When I'm done preparing them, I called Lilac first. She didn't answer the first time so I call her again. Lucky for me she answered this time.

"Hey Lilac. Where were you just now?" I asked while looking at her face. She's so pretty no matter how messy she looked. But I notice something different about her. I couldn't really point out what it was until I saw how red her eyes were.

"Oh I was in the bathroom washing up." Lilac said.

"What's wrong with your eyes?" I asked.

"It feels very itchy I don't know why." Lilac answered.

"Don't lie to me Lilac. I know you've been crying. Even your voice sounded a bit hoarse." I said.

"Well... How should I say this?" Lilac said hesitantly.

"Why don't we start off with why are you crying?" I suggested.

"Well it's all your fault to begin with. If you didn't say those words to me in the afternoon, I wouldn't start feeling so emotional. Then just now I received another call from my so-called family telling me to return because they somehow or rather found out that I will be having my semester break soon. When I give reasons, they started telling me how worthless I am and how unwanted I am in the family. And then after their call, I started thinking about those words you said in the afternoon. That was when realization hit me about who really cares for me no matter what I've been through. Who had never looked down on me no matter what fault I had done. Who appreciated me the most for all the little things I've ever done. It was you, Yoon Gi-ah. Thank you so much for doing so much for me. Never in my life anyone had done so much for me." Lilac explained.

"Lilac do you want me to go over to your place to accompany you?" I asked.

"No need I'm fine by yourself. You haven't taken your dinner yet?" Lilac asked.

"Yeah I was working just now. So I forgot the time. When I realized, it was when my reminder rang." I said.

"You can have your dinner while we talk. I don't mind seeing you eat." Lilac said.

"Ok." I said.

"So what do you wanna talk about?" Lilac asked.

"Let me get to know you more." I said.

"Well what else you don't know about me. You know about my age already. Where I study, my family condition you know half of it I think but I'm not ready to share the whole story with you yet so I hope that you will continue to wait until I'm totally ready. I hope that you wouldn't get frustrated waiting for me." Lilac said.

"I wouldn't. Tell me about what food you like, your ambition, your hobbies, perhaps what do you like about me." I said.

"Well I like to eat Chinese food and Korean food. Just anything but it can't be too spicy. Then my ambition it used to be an artist but I realized I couldn't do it so I want to go into education. I like reading the most but I think you could guess it by seeing the amount of time I spent in the library most of the time. Like you I get immersed in reading until I forget about the time. But yours is working. I hope that you wouldn't overwork yourself." Lilac said.

"Well I'll try my best to no neglect my own health." I said.

"I really want to stay by your side to take care of you but I know that now I still couldn't do that yet because of what you are now. You are an artist that are love by a lot of people whereas I am just a girl who are hated by her own classmates. My reputation is horrible. Do you ever regret getting into a relationship with me Yoon Gi?" Lilac said.

"Being together with you have been the best decision that I've ever made. No one could compare to how perfect you are. No one matters to me as much as you do." I said.

"Urmm Yoon Gi-ah. I'm very sleepy already and my eyes hurt a lot. I need to say good bye to you now." Lilac said.

"Oh ok." I said.

"Good night. Sweet dreams. Love you." Lilac said.

"Hmmm….. Good night. Sweet dreams. Love you too. Remember this Lilac. No matter how people think about you, it doesn't matter. Because I am the only one that matters to you." I said then I hang up without waiting for her reaction.

Ah tonight I'm gonna have a good sleep. While smiling I pick up my trash and throw it outside. I didn't realize that we had talk for almost two hours. No wonder she's tired already. Never mind I could still video call her tomorrow.
