Mercenaries In Apocalypse.

"Young Master, I am back" James bowed and greeted Percy.

"Uncle James, welcome back. How was it? Did those fools agree? " Percy had sent James with a very important mission which concerned the fate of the planet.

" About that young master, although they did not decline the results and the aftermath they refused to accept your plan. And they have also asked us to lend them the resources for this endeavour."

"Those fools.....sigh, alright transport the required resources. I guess it's time to proceed with the other alternative. We shall proceed with Plan B code named Nanatsu no Taizai."

That's right, the mission was related to the apocalypse. It all began when a group of astronomers discovered the ruins of an ancient civilization on moon, that's why the first manned mission to moon was launched. Since the Jackson's were an integral part of this plan they knew the confidential mission given to the astronauts, to collect samples and explore the site as much as possible.

The mission was a huge success. The ruins were supposed to be of an advanced civilization. It was unanimously decided that the world governments will cooperate to excavate and research the ruins. Thus began the developmental phase. UN began the project of ruin exploration. Various rover's and other UAVs were sent for exploration.

The Jackson group also was involved in this project, but apart from the UN they also started their individual project code named Apocalypse. The ruin discovery by the scientists and astronomers was not the first. The first to discover the ruins were the Jackson's as they had their own satellite systems, they intercepted the transmission of the news and delayed it. The Jackson's sent their UAVs and rovers and explored the sites. The discovered traced of war and some highly advanced technology, although unusable and almost converted to ice. But they were able to preserve the core result of the exploration.

An alien body covered in an exosuit, although there were no signs of life the suit was still operational and contained a chip which was a memory log. The memory log chip was retrieved covertly and studied. The result, the alien civilization was no alien. In fact they can be assumed to be our ancestors. The chip contained traces of what happened in the past. The chip was in an ancient Mayan civilization language. After years of decoding and study it was concluded that Earth was about to face extinction and Apocalypse was inbound.

The chip mentioned an important fact of what the Mayans believed was the end. According to the Mayan scientist, humans were not naturally birthed by nature. They were results of an experiment. Yes, an experiment, this experiment involved the introduction of an element called memory inheritor a.k.a Genes. The civilization which conducted this experiment was seemingly called as the Deva by the Mayans. The experiment was a huge success but after many centuries they introduced a virus. The so called virus converted the memory inheritor into docile carriers and transmitted rapidly. This lead to fall of ancient civilization. The memory inheritor capacity was reduced day by day until it degraded to a point where civilizations were destroyed. At a point the virus would be so harmful that it will degrade the human genes destroying it's structure and mutating the genes to follow the basic animal instinct. The Mayan civilization came to know about all this when they came in contact with a deserter of the deva race and also the mastermind of the Experiment.

The mastermind called himself zero. He shared all his research with them. This lead to the rapid advancement in the technology and science. Mayan were able to travel short distance in space. They developed biologically through the gene manipulation technique given them by zero. This technique was the result of the experiment conducted and it lead to the mutations in the human civilization leading them to harness energy from the cosmos and use them accordingly. Although the information was vague due to the time difference, the most recent and last recording stated that the mastermind was found by the deva race and they send an army for him. This led to the war between the races which eventually led to the deva race sending the virus and the Mayan race were executed from the planet. The human civilization at that time was spread throughout the world. The Devas only introduce the virus and killed the Mayans. The virus purpose was to stop the growth of the gene into variants powerful enough to threaten them. The war ended with the destruction of Mayan civilization and everything related to it. The devas suffered humongous loss of their military power and we're forced to retreat to their world, unaware of the Mayan civilization and zeros last stand the covert moon base. Zero developed a device and hid it in the base. This device contains all the vital information and knowledge known to Zero. He converted his knowledge into an spiritual organism aka AI using memory inheritor and hid it in the base.
