MicroTech: Academy Of Idiots

Chapter 79 - Fourth Ventura Theme (part 3)

Fourth Ventura Theme (part 3)

The holographic display of the game characters might not have attracted them, but their movements and talk were mind-boggling. All the teen gamers and older folks were simply regaled to see this.

The hall was designed with several paths for the visitors to follow, while the characters were everywhere walking around the facility.

The colorful characters with their weapons and famous dialogues looked hype, and it seemed real for the older folks. Lui was gaping at them with a wholly stunned expression. He lifted his palm and pushed it through the talking image. His hand didn't feel odd, which meant it was just a three-dimensional image (hologram).

He noticed that there were other images which weren't transparent as this one and these images were conversing like humans.

The other students were thrilled as they chatted with their favorite characters soliciting some codes for the next levels hidden treasures within the game. The characters only replied to this, 'this is confidential information, and we aren't permitted to give out.'

How come an in-game character could tell the sensitivity of an information irrespective of the generation it belonged to; the developers wouldn't take any risk.

"This prophecy queen could give me some valuable information," one of the teens who was obsessed with the game uttered as he wanted to cross the levels and reach the first rabbit hole of the game. Then he would be able to swank in front of other gamers. He kept following a character image called prophecy queen around asking her again and again for the information.

She was just a holographic display. How could she predict? But the teen wasn't ready to listen or give up the idea that she could help.

"Stop play-acting child, you know it is impossible to find the in-game confidential codes," his friend uttered as he tried jerking him to reality.

He was tired of his obsession with games. If he kept giving more time to games then the Academy would have to expel him for lack of interest, he had barely passed the finals this time.

"Unless..." He declared as he was hell-bent on finding it out.

His friend squinted his eyes and whispered, "Are you planning on...?" They were studying in MicroTech, and even a student regarded as a dunce comprehended enough knowledge to get by.

His friend held a hand over his mouth as though the unspeakable had been spoken. He looked around to make sure that no one was giving attention to them because of the massive crowd of teens crawling all over the place.

This theme was the fundamental reason for teens to visit this part, after every few days. A different company and the developers were given a chance to display their games here with unique settings.

"Are you going to create a hotfix* for disruption?" The students was furious to think that they wanted to directly give commands to these characters through breaking unicodes for the sake of the game.

"What are you both murmuring about? The leader of the troublesome group came; he had observed both of them and came to ask what they were chatting about not to enjoy the set theme?

They were suddenly alarmed but then quickly composed themselves, "Nothing, Yao wanted to get some Unicodes** for this trash game," he bluntly told the leader.

The leader of the group was wide-eyed with surprise. He quickly looked around and whispered, "Do you know what you're saying? Do you think they didn't create a security firewall*** before setting the program?" He muttered glaringly at Yao.

"Not sure but I can find out. Please if they created a strong security firewall, then I won't make the mistake of hacking into it," he replied with a tone of surety.

Yao wanted to swank in front of his friends and other students, and this was a golden opportunity.

He had been playing this game from the onset when it was launched two years ago, and still, he wasn't a famous player despite having a lot of in-game knowledge.

The leader was at lose whether to laugh or cry, this jerk wanted to implicate whole group of the students and wanted to take his permission for this sacred deed?

It was going to be troublesome if the strict instructor found out, and probably there was no way that he would not find out.

Once the system gave warning, it would alarm the presenters of this theme, they were not sleeping, were they?

And eventually, they will be able to tell who exactly attempting a robbery, all in all, it was risky and hard.

It was something they should not blunder about but what if he really got the codes or there was no strict firewall, for the sake of friendship, should he let him attempt?

The touchable holograms, called Fairy Lights, could serve as the beginning of developing technology where humans could interact with the hologram]

[Hotfixes are designed to fix a specific issue, the size of a hotfix is typically small. For this reason, a hotfix may also be called a patch, since it "patches" the bug or security hole. However, any time you receive a hotfix notification, make sure it is legitimate and from the developer of the software before agreeing to install it.]

[***A physical firewall is a wall made of brick, steel, or other inflammable material that prevents the spread of a fire in a building. In computing, a firewall serves a similar purpose. It acts as a barrier between a trusted system or network and outside connections, such as the Internet. However, a computer firewall is more of a filter than a wall, allowing trusted data to flow through it.]
