MicroTech: Academy Of Idiots

Chapter 94 - You Are Saying...

After meal, they went in their respective c.o.n.d.o.miniums which were granted by the academy.

Crag stopped and followed Lui.

He was going to talk seriously about himself and his concerns.

Because he no more wanted to betray Lui.

Today was not a busy day, they were not tired to fell asleep early so Lui can ask what bothered his friend.

They sat in front of each other, Toto was doing a casual security check and making sure that street cameras were also working fine.

After receiving his first payment, Lui intended to buy the robot for permanent job.

It will be better than to pay the fee every month for hiring.

"I was never your friend," Lui was sitting relax and looking Crag what he wanted to say and when he said those words, he fell in comma for sometime.

He thought that perhaps the meaning was little different of his words which he was yet to elaborate.

"I said I was never your friend, I was told to stay around you," Crag repeated his words by adding more alarming revelation.

Crag on the other hand was relax, he thought it thoroughly, after telling the truth if Lui started hating him, he would bear with it and he didn't want to see him again, he would leave the academy and never return.

If Lui wanted to avenge, he would not mind it.

He has all possible ways thought out in his mind.

That's why he was here and when sitting and facing Lui sincerely for the first time in his life, a realization struck him.

His father and the other enemies were planning for the war and for killing the third son of the sect master, could it possible that they send someone to kill them on that day?

Was it possible that his father thought to sacrifice his own son too to not get blamed?

As for Gib, it was possible that he was intentionally sent to practice his magic on the said day?

And there was one more possibility, they killed him too because they don't want to leave traces behind in case the sect master won the war?

Lui noticed that Crag turned silent for some time.

"Crag what are you saying?" He finally gathered few simplest words to speak out.

"I am telling truth, I always pretended to be your friend while actually my father sent me to stop you from learning higher levels of magic," Crag spoke ralaxed, he has nothing to regret anymore.

He was blurting out what was brewing in his heart and mind.

"My father though worked for sect master but he always bore grudge against him and he was planning to break a war against sect master and his loyals," Crag related.

Lui stood up from his couch.

This was something he never expected in his worst nightmares even.

His friend was all lies before?

"I know it is painful to hear but after waking up to this world and the days after, I was in the worst pain of regret, I cannot revert back time, I cannot ask my father that my conscience always blame me..." He paused for a moment.

"I wish, I would have died in the ocean for good to never face you again because I simply cannot face you..." His eyes were getting wet now.

He followed his father and his father did not think twice when sacrificing him in the ocean.

"Why are you telling me this now?" Lui sat back, he pinched himself several times just to make sure that he was not in his nightmare again.

He wanted to slap this Crag for betraying him all these years but compared to Rim, he was lot better, at least he did not backstab in this world.

They were no more living in the sect, no magic learning and no more previous world, only this one.

So what was use of taking revenge about something which has gone far away.

"I have changed my mind, if you still keep me your friend, I will make sure to not let you down," the teardrops fell from his eyes.

He has nowhere to go, if he left everything and went away, he might not be able live with the pain of being betrayed, betrayed by his own father, now he could understand what it feels like when one betrays or backstab, the one close and trusted.

Lui also wanted to cry like a small kid but he could not find a reason.

"If you have guts to admit your mistake, I don't have guts to take revenge from such friend," he stood up, walked ahead and hugged his friend.

He did not let his tears blur his vision.

Crag knew that he broke the trust of his friend and also his heart but it might bring more chaos if he told about other friends who were not actually friends.

He thought to keep it himself and face them instead.

He knew what kind of tactics they could come up with, slowly they will be exposed or abandon their underhanded means of betraying.

"So the island got destroyed by someone intentionally?" Lui asked Crag and he only nodded.

"How ignorant I was and I seemed still ignorant," he sighed.

"I will be leaving now, say if you want to ask anything," Crag asked.

"It's getting late, you should rest now, tomorrow is the first day for the new session, we'll face the challenges like men do..." Lui spoke determined.

In his previous life, his father always tried to teach him some life lessons and he ignored now in this world it seemed he would practically learn lessons of life.

And he would pay for neglecting the precious words of his father and only spending his time in uselessness.

He was forced to think about his father, what would have happened there, whether his father survived?

Definitely, hard old man was not easygoing, and his two elder brothers were also at the same higher levels of magic so he could expect that everything was fine there.
