Miss Ordinary: I Was Reborn To Love You!

Chapter 12 - Hiring a composite sketch artist to find someone?

In one of the private lands in the city, a magnificent villa was built on top of a hill. The design was screaming the now and the future. These contemporary vibes were felt by everyone that had by pure chance or luck saw the marvelous combined handiwork of genius engineers.

'Hillside Villa' was the name of this perfect handiwork.

In the northwest of the villa laid an infinity and heated swimming pool. On this bright and hot day, a man was seen swimming in freestyle. This had been his twentieth l.a.p.s. Each l.a.p with different swimming styles and strokes. A l.a.p of freestyle and now he was doing the combat sidestroke. From the distance, his profile was less visible, less aggressive. However, on a closer look, it was evident that the man's swimming was at its maximum efficiency.

By the poolside, stood a man wearing a white oxford paired with a black khaki pant. He was holding a towel and a folded robe on his left hand and a smartphone on the other. This hot weather seemed like a trivial matter to this man as he remained erect without showing any expression.

This man was the assistant of the man who was swimming in the pool: Tao.

"President, Director Gun is on the line," Tao reported as he handed the towel to the man who just came out from the swimming pool. Droplets of water fell from his wet body.

"What does he want?" that man's toneless and guttural voice was heard. Currently, his appearance was almost n.a.k.e.d except his manhood that was covered by his black swimming boxer. The revealed muscular yet defined c.h.e.s.t became even more alluring the moment he stretched his body. The feast ended as he wore the robe that was given by the other man.

"He wants to invite you to a dinner party," Tao answered as he diverted his gaze somewhere. His normal colored cheek gradually became tint in the shade of pink.

When he saw that the president had put on his robe, he almost let out a sigh. But, he managed to avoid such an embarrassing manner by giving the smartphone that he was holding on his right hand to the president.

Tao stared at the man in front of him. His eyes were praising the perfect specimen. This was Eric Wu, the CEO of Wu Corporation. The master of the Wu clan! His achievements at the age of 25 were splendid and unparalleled.

Tao was really proud of his job as Eric Wu's assistant.

"Tao…" Eric Wu stared at his new assistant. His eyes seemed to be able to read what the other was thinking. Tao shivered and stood as upright as he could. He knew he was in trouble the moment he finished saying his name.

"You should learn to identify which is important and which isn't," Eric Wu's toneless voice resonated into the air. It was serene yet Tao knew that it meant as a warning.

"I'll forgive you this time because I know you're adjusting to this new position,"

Tao's premonition of dying due to a freezing heart melted into dust as he blinked in astonishment. He was prepared to receive punishment because he knew this man's main principle: No nonsense.

They said this man was heartless and terrifying? Why did I hear a comforting voice just now? He wondered.

"Tonight, reread your contract. I don't want anymore mistake,"

"President, thank you for your benevolence!" he said while reminding himself to be more vigilance in the future.

No, not the future. He should start right now or else, he might repeat the incident that befell on his predecessor. He remembered when he was called to the president lounge on the exact same day the previous assistant was fired. That ex-assistant's sorrowful face was still freshly etched into his mind.

That man was the president's first assistant, yet he was simply thrown away just like that. Nobody knew why and no one was daring enough to ask. It reminded them that no matter how close you were with the president, you were not irreplaceable.

Eric Wu was a majestic figure to Tao. As soon as he was hired, Tao had spent every second observing his every move. He was overwhelmed by admiration as he realized that no matter what this man was doing, he was simply flawless.

Tao thought that he was willing to become gay for this man. However, he also knew he couldn't because the respect he had for this man were higher than the tallest mountain. Deeper than the deepest ocean.

Love wasn't even capable to compare to it!

"Tao, how about the artist I ask you to find?" Eric Wu asked as he twisted the cap of the water bottle on his hand.

Tao, who was daydreaming, was quick to become serious again. He confidently replied to Eric Wu's question.

"President, I have scheduled a meeting with the artist at 3.30 PM. He promised to arrive at three o'clock," he relayed the news to the president.

"A composite sketch artist?" Eric Wu asked with an eyebrow arched. The last time Tao brought him an artist; he actually brought an artist famous for abstract arts.

"Affirmative sir," Tao responded with all his might. This time he wasn't wrong.

Eric Wu nodded his head as he patted Tao's shoulder.

"Good," he said and walked in even strides toward the villa. This one word had sent Tao flying on a cloud nine.

Seeing the president walking toward the villa, Tao followed suit. He looked at his watch and noticed that there were fifteen minutes left until the artist's promised time which was at three o'clock.

Tao recalled the first day he was summoned for his first task's briefing. He thought he would be given a difficult task. After finding out that it was to find a composite sketch artist, he was disappointed.

Still, he wanted to show off his ability to his president. Therefore, he had contacted the most well-known artist in the country and overlooked the crucial requirement mentioned by his president.

This was his first mistake which occurred on the first day he acquired the job as Eric Wu's assistant. In less than 24 hours, he was already called in by the president.

On the way, Tao thought that the worst thing that could happen was being fired. Yet, after going in, he really felt that being fired was the lightest retribution.

The ten minutes he was in the president's office felt like an eternity. Each second sent him into hellish psychological war. This man was an expert in playing with the emotion of his people. His words were few but every move he made almost made Tao lose his consciousness.

This was Tao's biggest lesson on how to work under President Eric Wu!

"President, why are you looking for a composite sketch artist?" Tao who was trailing behind the president asked. He was really curious because the president seemed to value that matter more than his work at the company.

"To find someone,"

Tao shook his head understanding, but inside he was really curious about the 'someone' the president was trying to find.
