Bella Lim was startled by the ringing sound and the thought she was thinking earlier was gone in a flash, hiding until she decided to retrieve them back. She stared at the number that was calling and noticed that it was from the school. She immediately answered the phone call for anything related to her little pumpkin was of utmost importance to her.

"Hello," Bella Lim politely said.

"Hello Miss Bella, I'm Ryan's homeroom teacher. I hope you can come to school. Ryan is involved in another fight," a familiar voice came through the phone speaker. Bella Lim recognized the caller as Mr. Chen. 

"Mr. Chen, thank you for telling me this. I will be there soon. Please be kind to my brother," she said and then initiated to end the phone call.

'Hang in there, little pumpkin,' she whispered as she took her bag before leaving the room. Before rushing out of the café, she managed to inform Carla about her absence.

"Carla, I need to go out for a while. If the boss comes, tell him I have an emergency," she said in a hurry without waiting for Carla's reply. 

Hopping on her faded green motorbike, she took the shortest route toward the school. Bella Lim knew that when her brother was involved in a fight, the other kid was often the one at fault. Yet, when they were brought in front of the headmaster, her little pumpkin would always the one to receive the blame instead of the perpetrator.

She wasn't biased but based on previous experiences, the cases were always like that. As for why Ryan Lim was involved with a fight, it was either because of his sharp tongue or his quick retaliation. Moreover, he was also a justice upholder, hence when he saw a friend being bullied, he would often interfere.
