Miss Ordinary: I Was Reborn To Love You!

"Thank you for bringing my helmet," Bella Lim sat on one of the available chairs and thanked them. Seeing the two were looking at her with intense eyes, she was getting nervous. Though, it didn't last long when both smiled at her warmly.

However, seeing their smiles caused her to recall last night's events for the nth time. Although the embarrassment was unbearable, without them plus Eric Wu, she would be roasted by Jordan this morning. Now that she thought about it, it was weird for Jordan to come really late today. Wasn't he curious about the result of her interview?

She felt that there was a thunderstorm waiting ahead but decided to ignore it for now. At this moment, she had two people that required her full attention.

"I also want to thank you for last night," Bella Lim said with clarity. She was really grateful. 

"I don't have anything precious with me to repay your kindness. However, if there is anything that you need my help with, I'm all ears. As long as it's within my capabilities, I definitely will help," she smiled. This was something she should've said in the beginning.

"Friendship," Lu Fei and Sun Nan spoke in unison. They looked at each other and laughed. Both knew that Bella Lim would offer something as payback for their help last night. This was the moment they have been waiting for.

They have discussed this matter on their way to Simply Cafe and reminded each other to jump on it when there saw an opportunity. Now that she had stated her offer, they wouldn't hesitate to offer their friendship and get hers in return. Of course, if the other gave her consent to it.

"We really appreciate it, if you could become our friend. Besides, it's boring to have no other friend other than Eric in this country," Sun Nan spoke, eyes brimmed with hopes. Lu Fei could only smile as he agreed to what Sun Nan was saying.

"That…" Bella Lim was surprised to hear their request. She was happy but afraid at the same time. For them to call a friendship as compensation, she felt she wasn't good enough to be one.

"Please don't push us aside because of our status. We're just like you, a normal person," Lu Fei spoke. He saw the struggle and confusion on Bella Lim's face and thought that she probably was thinking that she was unworthy or something along the line. However, if she knew how they started from nothing, would she think the same?

Listening to Lu Fei, Bella Lim felt her heart softened. Deep down, she wanted to happily accept their request however, she was indeed worried because who was she? Just a nobody.

But, wasn't this a good thing for her? This was a rarity chance to get close to Eric Wu, the man that she vowed to protect in this lifetime.

Thinking about him, Bella Lim became restless again. If she asked him to become her friend, would he accept it? 

Probably not.

Bella Lim internally sneered at herself. She wouldn't dare to ask for much. She should be grateful that Lu Fei and Sun Nan was willing to become her friend. Besides, these two were crucial too... she knew a lot of things that Eric Wu did in the past which involved the two.

"Thank you. It's a p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e to be your friend," she smiled as she offered her hand. However, Sun Nan ditched it as he went to hug Bella, leaving the other feeling dumbfounded.

This time, Lu Fei saw that Bella Lim wasn't as rigid as before where Sun Nan had brazenly held her hand. Right now, she was only surprised without an indication of loathe.

"Okay, that's enough. I should make a phone call to Eric," Lu Fei pulled Sun Nan away from Bella Lim who was now looking at him with questioning eyes.

"We'll gather at Eric's house tomorrow evening. I'm going to ask for his permission to bring you along," Lu Fei explained and took out his phone to dial Eric's number. He laughed when he saw her eyes widened in shock.

"I don't think that's…" Bella Lim wanted to protest but it seemed that the phone call was already connected.

Meanwhile, in Wu Corporation building, a man was facing an elderly man who was staring at him with angry eyes. 

"I told you not to bring the two rascals. What are they doing here and not mind their own business in their own countries?" the elderly man spoke with anger. He harrumphed every time his eyes met the eyes of the man sitting in front of him.

"Grandpa, if it wasn't because of the two, you would've married me to a weird woman," the man calmly responded, not bothered with the elderly man's temper. He knew the other simply want to vent his anger. 

"Eric, my grandson, even if that was the truth, you should've shown up and prevented the old snake from calling me disrespectful!" Wu Tianyao was the elderly man. He stared at his grandson, Eric Wu in disp.l.e.a.s.u.r.e. 

He recalled asking this grandson of his to come to the gathering last night, but until the end, he didn't even show up. What more, this rascal even invited his two noisy friends. How close is their friendship for the two to willingly came to Azure just to mess up his plan?

Wu Tianyao wasn't against their friendship, instead, he was really grateful to the two. He knew they were sincere to his grandson, but their sincerity annoyed him because every time he tried to match his grandson to someone else, the two would be so willing to become the scapegoats.

"Grandpa, don't worry. I…" I would find my mate someday, was what Eric Wu wanted to say, but was interrupted with the sudden ring of his personal phone. He looked at the caller and saw Lu Fei's contact info. 

"Grandpa, I need to answer this call. After this, let's have lunch together," Eric Wu said as he rose from his seat. After receiving no verbal responses from his grandpa, he walked towards the glass wall. He stared at the skyscr.a.p.ers' view outside of his office as he answered Lu Fei's call.
