"I'll let you speak to Sun Nan. He'll explain," Bella Lim heard him said this, but her mind was still paralyzed from his previous comment. So, she remained silent. She regained her entire focus when she heard a distant voice of someone cursing. She knew it was Sun Nan but had no idea what he was angry about. Not long after, she finally heard his slightly awkward voice.

"H-hi Bella, how are you? Did you receive the gift?" his voice was shaking at the beginning but gradually modulated to a stable one. However, it managed to make a small creased appeared on Bella Lim's forehead. She felt that something wasn't quite right but had no idea what it was.

"Sun Nan? If you're talking about this motorbike in front of me, then yes," she answered without feeling uncomfortable like she did previously. A small part of her was really confused as to why it happened that way. Indeed, Eric Wu was intimidating, but was she that intimidated for her to speak like someone who just learned how to speak?

"Bella, could you just accept it? Money isn't really the issue, but your safety is. As your friends, as long as it's something we could help, we definitely will help. Or is our friendship just a joke to you?" Bella Lim almost choked on her saliva when she heard Sun Nan's sulking voice at the end. This man, could he be not this sulky? She internally sighed.

"But, I really cannot afford this-"

"Bella, it's a gift. We're not salesmen!"

"Sun Nan-"

"No! I don't want to listen…"

Speechless. That was how Bella Lim felt at the moment. Dealing with Sun Nan could make her healthy head, spun in dizziness. In the end, she could only thank him and asked that he relays her gratefulness to Eric Wu and Lu Fei. Nevertheless, she felt that something was not right but whatever it was, she really had no clue.

When she wanted to hang up, she heard Sun Nan's panic voice asking her to hold on. "Wait! Is it possible for you to come for lunch instead of the evening? You see, Eric bro skipped work today so, we have plenty of time to jolly. We decided to start the party early,"

Hmm, so Eric Wu skipped work? Bella Lim found this news amusing because she knew that Eric Wu basically lived a scheduled life. Therefore, for him to take such an impulsive decision such as skipping work... It felt surreal. Well, wasn't this an interesting change? Bella Lim found herself smiling.

"Thank you. I'll come, but is it okay for me to bring my little brother? I don't feel comfortable leaving him alone," she said.

After losing her job yesterday, she was now afraid that something would happen to her little pumpkin. At this point, she refused to leave him under someone else's care. Last night, she had also decided to choose a job that allows her to be close to him so that she could look after him.

She waited for Sun Nan to respond. Hopefully, they wouldn't mind…

"Little Ryan? Of course! I'll get really angry if you come alone," Sun Nan was overjoyed. His voice was showing his excitement. Bella Lim exhaled. Her lips curled to a beautiful smile. She was happy to hear Sun Nan's approval.

"Thank you," she said with sincerity.

"Don't thank me!!! Little Ryan is officially our little brother too. Alright Bella, see you soon!" Sun Nan's acknowledgment of little pumpkin made Bella Lim unable to speak. She was truly grateful for his kindness and knew that his sentiment was representing the other as well.

"See you soon," she said, ending the phone call.

"Big sister," Bella Lim was entertaining the overwhelming emotion she was feeling when she heard a tiny voice from behind. She knew it was little pumpkin. This cutie pie of hers probably was awakened by the ruckus earlier.

She turned around, ready to greet her little pumpkin. The moment her eyes caught sight of little pumpkin; she saw him suddenly fell on his b.u.t.t. She ran to his side in panic, but the little boy was already on his two feet, running away towards the house. Before his tiny body disappeared behind the slammed door, Bella Lim managed to see the shock and horrid look in his round face. It was a similar expression to the man who introduced himself as Judy, albeit little pumpkin's looked better.

Curious as to why her precious pumpkin acted in such a manner, Bella Lim rushed into the house and saw little pumpkin had just came out of his room. In his left hand was a small mirror. He walked to her and thrust the mirror into her right hand.

"What is this for? Wait, why are you avoiding this big sister of yours?" Bella Lim pretended to sulk. She jumped on the couch beside her and sat. Little pumpkin looked at her. His eyes were getting bigger the longer he looked. Then, he climbed the couch as he silently sat next to Bella Lim. Next, he gently nudged her hand that was still holding the mirror.

"Hmm?" Bella Lim finally got his message. She stared at the mirror on her right hand and thought that little pumpkin was really funny.

Did he want her to be a narcissist? Although she looked older compared to her young age, she was still pretty, alright? Bella Lim chuckled as the thought appeared in her mind, She lifted the mirror in front of her and…

"Who… who the hell is this?!" she was too shocked to the point of throwing the mirror to the floor.

She sunk deeper into the couch and hugged her knees in fright. That was when she heard little pumpkin high-pitched laugh besides her. She turned to see him already rolling on the small space on the couch.

"Pumpkin…" she muttered with a sad face. She finally understood why the man named Judy ran away so dramatically. Her face was indeed capable of scaring other people. Even she was scared of her own ghostly look.

"Big sis, your panda eyes… last night, did big sister sleep well? " little pumpkin had ceased laughing but there was still some hanging on the corner of his lips. He pulled Bella Lim's right arm and hugged it. His big eyes were now staring lovingly at his big sister.

Bella Lim who was feeling miserable, felt warmness spread from her arm to her whole body. Now, she felt that everything was alright again. She hugged little pumpkin and admitted to what he was saying.

"Don't worry. That will be the last time," she said with a gentle smile on her face.

Bella Lim knew little pumpkin probably was thinking that she was unable to sleep due to what had happened yesterday. She could only agree as it was too embarrassing to tell him the truth that she was sleep-deprived because of Eric Wu.

"Let's eat some breakfast," she suggested and felt little pumpkin rocked in her arm. She giggled.

While eating breakfast, Bella Lim talked about the lunch invitation to little pumpkin.

"Little pumpkin, do you remember the two guys at the cafe yesterday?" she asked while munching on the sweet egg toast in her hand.

Little pumpkin who was drinking his warm milk nodded. "Brother Lu Fei and brother Sun Nan," he said with great memorization.

"Yes. They invited us to lunch today," Bella Lim smiled after listening to her little pumpkin mentioned their names with perfect articulation.

"Okay," little pumpkin once again nodded as he spared his big sister a glance before continued to sip on his milk. Bella Lim giggled as she knew nothing could divert little pumpkin's attention away from the glass of milk in his hands.
