"But Alex said these were Orc Warlords right, that means they have passed the first stage of their evolution," Gabriel said.

"Gross" Alex mouthed as he tore through the flesh of the orc, the flesh of the orc was thick and hard to cut through but his dagger was up to the task.

Alex already plunged his demon blade into the orc and left it there, so he used only his blood dagger to tear through the orc.

Now that the beasts were no longer disintegrating, he was going to use this chance to complete his blood absorption to 100%.

"Be careful when you get close to the heart, you might crack the crystal by mistake" Melissa said.

"I found something, it's the crystal," Alex said as he smiled, a tiny light shone from part of the flesh that he cut and he placed his blade there and carefully cut through the meat.

"Melissa, can orc meat be sold?" Max asked.

"I don't know, but it can't be eaten by humans except if you are training a battle pet like a wolf or a bear, or something else" Melissa spoke.

"Battle pet, can let be owned?" Lynx asked.

"Not by you, a pet can only be owned by mages and you'll need to learn a certain spell that would enable you to take them, and taming a pet is extremely hard, though I don't know the process I was just told so" Melissa explained.

"Ohh, Melmond doesn't have a store that sells spell books, I would have gotten tons of spells, now that I can be able to take pets, I'll tame a bear and maybe a wolf," Gabriel said.

"There's a limit to how many spells you can learn, though the more you level up the more spells you can learn and I've never seen someone tame two pets," Melissa said.

"Is this the crystal? I think it's a basic ranked crystal" Alex asked with a smile.

"I told you, you won't find...wait I'm not sure that's basic rank" Melissa spoke as she stared at it.

"That's because it's not, an intermediate rank crystal, I told you I was extremely lucky" Alex smirked.

"Is it me or is the orc getting smaller by the second, o don't know if it's my eye but the orc was way bigger right?" Lynx asked.

"It's nothing, it's just my blade," Alex said as he removed his demon blade and plunged it into the next orc.

"Wait, your blade is responsible for drying up the orc?" Max asked in shock.

"Yes, it draws blood from its victims, it's really good against large beasts," Alex said.

The five of them were staring at Alex I'm surprised but he was acting like it was totally normal for the dagger to be able to drain blood from victims.

"Alex, I don't understand, do all your daggers draw blood or it's this particular one?" Lynx asked.

"Only this one, Gabriel you remember the dagger I found in the newbie village when you almost got killed"

"It's called Demon Blade right, you told us that it's ordinary quality right?"

"Yes, it's of ordinary quality but it's really durable and deals damage normally, it also drains blood, though I don't know how it works but as long as it works in my favor," Alex said.

"Did you say Demon blade, demon blade I've heard that somewhere" Melissa clicked her tongue as she thought about it.

"The most powerful weapon is that it?' Alex asked remembering what Aaron told him.

"Yes, you are right" Melissa muttered.

"I also thought this was the weapon but it isn't, I asked about the weapon and the demon blade is a sword, a Kanata to be precise," Alex said.

"The second crystal, wait this isn't like the first one, maybe it's Advance rank" Alex smiled as he held the crystal.

"It's a basic rank crystal," Melissa said with a smile on her face.

"I know you are happy, we should leave now before we face more trouble" Alex yawned as he walked forward.

The group was already tired from all the fighting, on the way Alex ate the rest of his bread cause he was really hungry.

They finally exited the forest after walking for miles, from where they stood they could see the mountains.

Alex came to the city from the mountains, and behind the mountains were the snowy mountains where Alex and Melissa met.

"Melissa, when you killed the desert scorpion, how many XP did you get?" Alex asked her.

"I don't remember, I was actually more concerned about my quest than the amount of XP the scorpion gave, do you want to go back there?" Melissa asked.

"Back then I found a crystal in the cave, I'm sure it's worth a lot," Alex said.

"But we can't go now, and if we exit the city again that means we are heading for Zenith City, do you really want to take us to that cave," Melissa said.

"Never mind," Alex faced forward as they walked back to the city.

The rest of the trip back was silent without anyone saying a single word.

"What is the meaning of this, where are you guys coming from?" the guard asked as they approached the gates.

The remaining guards around were staring at them with their hands on their weapons, it was clear that the group went hunting.

"We are adventurers," Melissa said.

"Adventurers, can I see your IDs?" the guards asked in a hoarse voice.

'ID...shit adventurers have IDs, we are so screwed' Alex mumbled under his breath.

"Here you go," Melissa said as she handed over her ID to the guard.

"What!! An S-Rank adventurer, what brings you to Melmond?" the guard asked.

"None of your business," Melissa said as she walked forward, the guards in front of her snorted angrily but he had no choice but to let her pass.

"What about your IDs?" the guard stopped Alex from passing.

"They are with me, or do you want to lose your job" Melissa sneered and the guard moved out of the way.

The rest of the guards gave them angry looks but there was nothing they could do, an S-Rank adventurer are rare to come across so they are given lots of respect.

"Melissa, were those guards afraid of you, I didn't know you had something like that," Max said.

"I got the badge from the Silver Continent, I help a kingdom in a war and they awarded me the Rank, S-Rank adventurer are hard to come across and once you present your badge everyone becomes either afraid of you or admire you, but the latter is rare," Melissa said.

"How many ranks are there?"

"F, E, D, C, B, A, and S rank, players usually registers as an adventurer in Zenith City cause they have an adventurer guild and you can create a guild there. Adventurers are given an ID and the higher your rank, the more chance you have of passing through a restricted area" Melissa explained as they walked further into the city.

The people in the city were staring at them as they walked by, Alex could see players shocked as they saw them walking by.

"Maybe when we get to the city, Alex would open a guild," Gabriel said.

"You can only open a guild if you are rank B and above," Melissa told him.

"You said something about entering a restricted area, what does that mean?" Alex asked.

"Some areas are restricted to players but with a high-rank adventurer ID they can be assessed, in this city the house of the ruler is restricted but if I show them my ID I would be allowed in," Melissa said.

"We should have gone to Zenith City before this became our life, we would have participated in a war and gotten high rank," Lynx said.

"Isn't that an inn, the name is a little strange but I think it's an inn" Rebecca said.

"Pleasure inn, as long as it's an inn" Gabriel said as he head towards the door.

The inn was big covering the space of at least two buildings, the inside was decorated beautifully and was like a bar, a lady was behind the counter so they walked towards her.

"Is this a bar or an inn?" Gabriel asked.

"It's both, would you like a room?" the lady asked.

"Yes, one room for each of us" Gabriel said.

"Should I include a special service, I can see you guys are really tired from all the fighting, you are adventurers right?" the lady asked.

"Yes, is there a bath in the room, and where can we buy clean clothes?" Gabriel asked.

"All of that is available" the lady said.
