3236 Killing the Parasite

The runes formed from my strings and spread into her body. They are going to cover every part of her, leaving not even the slightest gap.

These runes are getting powered by the resources she had brought, and I have also used my own resources. Including a tiny pinch of bubbling tar soil.

Saving is not the only motivation behind spending such rare and precious resources, which value thousands of times more than what she had collected.

I will also get something.

I want crystal, but I am not going to get it.

It is not only precious resources the parasite had; the whole damn parasite is precious. It is hard to believe it, but it is the truth.

Its blood, bones, and skin are just as precious. Though, unlike crystal, they could not be directly used.

They are extremely poisonous; one needed to refine them before using them.

I already have a plan for it, and I will be using them soon.

"Jordan, if it feels like I couldn't be saved. Focused on a crystal; I want to leave it behind for my daughter."

"Ok," I said and focused on the runes.

A few minutes passed, and I covered nearly every part of her body and now, only the area around her chest remained.

It is the most important part and half of the runes; I created inside her are going to be around this area. Every second, thousands of runes came out of the strings, they are so tiny, they couldn't be seen by the eyes.

They are forming a spherical formation around the heart, and the parasite is oblivious to it. It is busy against my formation, where it is making steady progress.

Soon, the formation is finished.

"It is done," I told her. She nodded. "I love you, my daughter," she said to Vana. "Love you too, Mom," Vana replied.

Buzz!

A second later, I activated the formation; not the one inside her, but the surrounding one. As it is activated, the resources begin to fill the runes.

A few minutes later, the runes moved and begin to cover her beautiful body. Which I am struggling to not stare at.

Soon, her whole body got covered in runes, from her horns to her beautiful wings. No surface of her body that is not covered with the runes.

"The parasite will die in a minute and a real challenge will begin; you have to hold on, you can't yourself let go," I said to her.

"I will not," she said with a steel in her voice.

I nodded and activated the next stage; both the formation of the outside and inside begin to connect with each other.

Soon, both formations become one and thirty-six golden brown, runic chains that came from the spherical formation covering the heart and moved toward the parasite.

They entered inside its body, and it still didn't detect them.

If any other were in my place, the chains would have been detected and the method of the decision to work, even after detection, but forbidden power, they did not.

They begin to envelop every part of it, especially that core of it, where it is most focused.

'Reeeeee…'

The chains had nearly wrapped around every part of its body when it detected something and let the vibrating scream, while waves of power released from it.

The chains didn't so much shake at its attack

I have used powerful resources, including bubbling tar soil; the attack would need to be much stronger, to just shake the chains.

A few seconds later, the chains wrapped around it and now it is time for it to die.

"I am killing it," I informed her and nodded.

As she did, the chain pulled from all directions. Immediately, its skin and bones begin to crack it. Like the most painful punishment, it begins to split from all sides.

'REEEE…"

It screamed and resisted, but there is no use. It is doing to die.

It tried to go for the core and the heart, but chains had protected them.

To be honest, I would have liked to kill it directly, but the method said it needed to be killed this way and there are very good reasons for that.

Since I have no better method to null many of the dangers come during killing it. I am following what the method in the books says.

Reyana also started to feel pain, but it is nothing to be compared to what she will feel soon.

Phack Phack Phack

A couple of seconds passed, and the preside got divided into over twenty parts.

It died; it had truly died.

The moment it died, crimson brown lines begin to come out from every part of her body. Skin, bones, heart, veins, magical and normal, and also her core.

She looked quite scary as I looked at her, the crimson brown lines everywhere. I would have preferred Vana wouldn't watch this, but since her mother wanted her here, I would not argue.

This is the ultimate attack of the parasite; it had spread into every part of her body and it will kill her slowly, in the most painful way, in hours of time.

"Ahhhhhh…."

The pain had finally become too much, that she finally screamed, while the crimson lines spread.

Buzz Buzz Buzz

The formations inside and outsides of her body activated together and immediately the crimson brown likes stopped spreading.

This is temporary; this magical poison is extremely dangerous and activates only after its death.

It would have been great if I could produce its antidote, but I could not. Because this is harmless until the death of a parasite; it is to provide it with the last ingredient that makes it this.

Every parasite creates it slightly different version of it. Thus, a single antidote didn't work for all.

There are some which reduce the effects, but it would require really rare resources to make. It is why, the runes, which could only suppress them.

As for the job of erasing them; it could only be done by Reyana.

This poison is used by energies stolen from her, which makes her energies the best way to destroy it, but it to that. They need to be countless times more powerful than it, while currently, her energies are countless times weak.

So, to do that, Reyana is going to make a breakthrough. It is part of the treatment.

According to my estimate, she needs to be at least mid-Sovereign to wipe this out and she barely has a day to reach it, or this poison will kill her in the most painful way.

Still, the level up under such conditions is usually avoided and failed every time and she is not going to be attempting a single breakthrough, but a smaller one after that.

If that is not enough, then another smaller one.

In not normal cases, such rapid breakthroughs are not possible, but it is not a normal case and there is one thing that made it possible.

The glittering crystal is now covered in runes completely. It is going to power the whole breakthrough; it has more than energy to do it and since it is made from her energy, it will be a seamless integration.

Though it does not mean the breakthrough will happen. More than a 50% chance, that she will fail, but we have to try.

As it is the only way to survive.
