3659 Bright

"It's bright!" I cursed, but soon, my abilities kicked it and begin to see through the brightness and the cause of it.

"Light stones," I said and looked around, saw everywhere, I looked, and I found light stones. Huge stones.

For a moment, I thought, whether I had appeared in mine, but no, these stones are mined and refined. Not to mention, they are sides of enormous cubes, bigger than me.

I spread my soul sense and saw that I was in some kind of warehouse.

A dilapidated one for the ages, but the stones are in good shape after thousands of years; they are still absorbing the dense energies around them and releasing powerful light.

I looked for any danger but didn't find any aside from the energy. It would be unwise to deactivate my armor, I won't be able to last even a minute before the energy around me turns into dust.

Seeing no threat, I waved my hand and began to send the light stones into my storage, there are hundreds of them, and I have taken half of them.

These light stones are powerful, and I have use of them, but half is more than enough. Hell, even a single cube would be enough for my needs, but I took half.

There are many people who would have found these stones useful. Especially practitioners of light elements; these are no simple light stones; they would be used for the practice, too.

With the light stones in my storage, I flew up slowly.

This place is nearly buried in the ground, less than a quarter of it is above the ground. I reached the roof, passed through one of the holes and appeared under the shining sun.

All around me radiant forest, with verdant trees with flowing vitality.

I would have been surprised if they weren't like this. The energy in this place is too powerful. Every organism living in this place will have to consume to love or perish, under its power.

I landed gently on the grass and sent my soul sense, and within a minute; I knew more about the surrounding area than I had been a minute ago.

I am standing in what was likely to be a city thousands of years ago. It is now completely reclaimed by nature and the warehouse of the light stones seemed to be one of the few good places that are standing, while most others turned to dust.

I couldn't help but get disappointed.

Seeing how the excited man was, I thought, it would be an amazing place, but it seemed like a normal one.

I shook those thoughts away as they entered my mind. It had been less than five minutes since I had come here, and my soul sense had barely scanned a few miles of the area.

Which is not enough for me to judge it. I shook explore it for a day or two before making any judgment about it.

Hun!

I had thought about it when suddenly my expression changed and appeared behind a huge tree and crouched down. So, I would be hidden in the grass around it.

A monster entered my range, a graceful tiger with purple strips and a blue horn on its head. It is a Sky Sovereign monster. If it sensed me; I could forget getting out of this place alive.

It hadn't been even a second when I was feeling bored, but now, I was hiding in the grass from the powerful monster.

The monster seemed to be searching for something. Taking a sniff from the air, looking left and right. It shouldn't be me; I had sealed everything, before even before stepping into the ruin.

The only thing brought out was my soul sense, but I had actively added forbidden energy into it.

Though the monster didn't seem like it, it had sensed my soul sense. Its reaction would be different. Monsters react differently to different things, and this time; it is definitely tracking the prey.

Unfortunately, it is only me in a five-mile radius and two Sovereign monsters. I don't think it has an interest in them either.

Monster of such power usually goes for those levels below it or those of its level, if it is feeling daring. It only goes for those two levels below, when it didn't have a choice and this monster didn't seem like it didn't have a choice.

'I really hope it goes away quickly,' I thought.

I am nothing against it and if it found me. It will forget its prey and come at me. I have created a few ways to deal with such as those, but those ways didn't spare me either.

At the seventeenth second, it craned its neck west and moved. The speed and the grace it had moved are simply amazing.

It disappeared from my eyes, within a second, and by the third second, it had moved out of my range.

I didn't get up immediately and confirmed with the soul waves that it had truly left before daring to stand up.

It seemed like this place wouldn't be as boring as I thought it would be.

With that thought, I moved ahead toward the north. I didn't have a map, so picking a single direction and walking toward it felt like a wise choice, and I had done just that.

I had also spread my soul sense further and sent more soul waves in all directions. I need to know when a dangerous monster like this enters my rage; I was lucky with the lion monster, I wouldn't be lucky with the others.

Hun!

A few seconds passed when I stopped and gently harvested the flowers from the plant. It is a rare plant and is on my list; I wasn't able to get it from the organization and open marketplaces.

There is a long list of resources I want, but I do not need more of them. I have everything I need in the near future.

The list only contains resources I like to have as I might need them in the future.
