When they arrived, they could see a lot of militaries were guarding the camp and many people lined up to enter the base. They were checked one by one. Some people also went into the room to get more detailed checks before they could enter the base. The people that had scratches or got bitten by zombies would get handled by the military.

After 2 months after Chen Qiang and his sister, Chen Qing arrived at the camp, a lot of things had happened.

Initially, this place was a strategic place for the military to march into the Jiangnan city while gathering the survivors and sending them to the base that the government had just started to build.

After all, the military itself had a lot of difficulties. Therefore, they could only send limited soldiers. So after 3 days since he and his sister Chen Qing stayed in temporary camp, they with all the survivors that were still not transferred, going to the base with the withdrawal of the military.

Principally involved in gold mining and smelting, coal, copper, lead, zinc, silver, and even iron products in much smaller quantities.

Chen Qiang was the heir of his father. He should have already taken all the inheritance of his father when he was an a.d.u.l.t, but he told the lawyer that he wanted to temper his youth first and would not meddle with the business or decision making on the Duwei group. The military was always cleaning the zombies in the surrounding area, and sometimes they confronted the mutated beasts. The meat of it was really precious. When the soldiers continued to eat the meat of the mutated beasts that they had hunted, such as mutated rat or cat, one of the teams accidentally became an awakened. Not only did his body seeming to get enhanced, but he also got a gift. He could easily run faster than an athlete. Moreover, the meat of mutated beasts could also make them recover their stamina really fast.

To become an awakened, it was actually not just because of eating mutated beasts' meat, it was not too rare to see an awakened after the sudden change, the military had a lot of awakened that often hunted mutated beasts.

Day after day the dominion of the higher up in the base kept rising, but injustice was still everywhere.

Although Uncle Zhan Hai was rich, he was still too far away from his father. Moreover, the money paper or estate didn't have any meaning now. Even if the money paper still had worth, almost all the people certainly would refuse if someone wanted to buy something with that. The resources in the base also couldn't be traded using it. It was because their resources would likely be cleared out if they allowed it. So the barter became widely used once again, and such things such as gold and other material were often used. But now, almost all of his gold has run out.

Fortunately, Chen Qiang now also went out to find the resources, and that lightens his burden.

Chen Qiang occasionally went out to fight the zombies and search for resources too. He knew in this era the power and strength was everything.

One day when he just went back from his hunt with his team, he could not find Chen Qing everywhere, he asked Uncle Zhan Hai but he still didn't see Chen Qing coming back.
