N Chapter 29
: Simply a beating

 

[Claude POV]

Well, I can see that Geese is sneaking around while distracting the Holy Beast’s guard. Well, it’s not like I care about the dog. So I leave it be, and will leave the monkey alone while dealing with the necessary extraction of the material given to me.

While in the dungeon, I had trouble dealing with the smithing.

Luckily, there are plenty of items I can use to craft weapons and fight against the poisonous monster that is always attacking me.

There are numerous ways to defeat them, and in Sadogashima Kuro's memories ,I can deduce how to defeat them.

His death was gory, and that brings fear to me. so much that every floor I passed in the dungeon, I could see his memory emerge in my head, bringing a chilling sensation.

I used this time to gather anything I could to mend my broken mind. I’m always troubled by all the memories that are jumbled in my head.

Sometime, I created a diary to arrange the memories. By all means, this power isn’t as overpowered as another main character.

Different from Rudeus, I am late in training my mana. I also don’t have the Laplace factor that can increase my mana capacity and learning ability.

Nonetheless, the memory of non-NEETs was excellent in and of itself, as their understanding of various studies assisted me greatly.

Each time he countering my attack, I unleash a spell to attack him.

We had a small bout now and then to train myself, meanwhile Eris is beating Rudeus on the side.

“Your way of attacking is too predictable, try a different angle”

He pointed out my mistake, and I fixed them.

At a certain point, Eris looks my way with heated gaze. She looks like she want to have a match with me and breathe out heavily with that smug look of her, as if knowing what she wanted to, Ruijerd stopped the spar and let Eris enter the stage.

He didn’t cooperate with Eris to attack me, but he instructed her on the side.

I didn’t complain, and continue my spar with her.

Now, I can see what’s Ruijerd meant.

I lack a diversity on how to deal with an opponent stronger than me, my way of attacking my enemy seems straightforward to kill.

Unlike a battle between expert, my way of attacking fitted the way Sword God style user. Continuous attack without understanding more about the tempo of my enemy, I see resemblance on how I attack another with Eris’ way of attacking me right now.

So, I used more Water God style technique Flow, to divert and block Eris attack while thinking how to quickly countering her.

Different people had a different way to deal with.

ROAR!

Using the beastman’s magic, I stunned her.

That simple stun ended our spar with me as the winner, knowing her defeat, Eris can’t help but growl at me.

“I Won’t lose in our next bout!” Eris yelled, gripping her blade tightly.

Rudeus shakes his head as if it’s not his concern but…

“Come on Rudeus… you’re next”

I called him, and beat him black and blue.

After I beat the beastman warrior and have a tie with Gustav, I head towards the smithy.

There, the people started to handle their works better than before.

I’ve already knew that Beastman had a dexterity better than a dwarf is, however, these rejects really opened my mind.

Although they are bad in combat, they have better tenacity than the other warrior. Each of them had an eye that every craftsman desired, though they had problems in their attitude a bit of personality training makes them better.

Actually, these guys are treated like normal. But, unknowingly, they had a tendency to think in hyperbole and innately an arrogant people.

I’m not saying that their arrogance is bad, in fact, a craftman had to be arrogant. Their arrogance need to be steered to development, they need to have a pride for their own crafts and develop every time they feel something’s lacking.

A bit of competition might be good, since Arbalest needs a helping hand, I don’t mind training them for the future.

In any case, I need to train assistant to fill my weapon box with more weapon and those that can helping me in the smithy.

Seeing them filled with life after a little instruction brings joy to me, but, their quirky nature put me off.

“Master Claude, where’s your whip? Do you need me to make you one?”

I never hold a whip in my life…

Where the hell are these guys sanity to even wanted to get whipped whenever they see me?

What kind of masochistic life had they spent in this world already?

When I complained about this to Gustave, he just shrug and change the conversation to another matter.

I know that you’re also troubled by this, but, can you save me from this kind of thing?

I don’t really want to have a deal with them after this, so I better ask my subordinate to deal with it in the future…

“Damn it, shut yer trap and go working now!” I shouted furiously and head to my spot, seeing those guys bellowing the furnace and hand me the hammer makes me remember that damn monster tamer I meet in the past.

While doing my work, hammering the iron, I explain the process to them. At  that time, I don’t know they had some glint in their eyes or something, but I can feel that they think of something stupid so I shouted at them and threw the completed sword towards one of the people that had the eeriest air around them.

Sending him a death glare makes him feel overjoyed…

I don’t know how to deal with these guys, so I just sighed and continue the lesson.
