Hello, everyone. Delana's here to bring you another story. What to expect from this story:

1. This is a mixture of historical-modern, so the FL will have occasional flashback about her past life, but not too much, maybe it will only take 15% of the story :)

2. There MIGHT be mature content (aka smutty hehe), but do expect like...bloody, slightly gore scenes because afterall this is a crime-detective story ;)

3. The main characters AREN'T perfect at all! After getting through such a huge ordeal, Shi Nian had developed PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and lost her ability to speak. Meanwhile, our general in modern life, Jiang Jinyan was an ex high jump athlete who was forced to retire because he lost one of his legs in a car accident. But to make up for that, I give you a solemn and sour-faced second male lead uncle detective haha but please don't develop second male lead syndrome okay?

4. If you've read my previous story aka Ten Thousand Years: Loving You Through Time and Rebirth (if you haven't, go read it!) then you will know that my story will definitely be a SLOW BURN one. I like to make the story develop first before letting the ML and FL met, so expect that Shi Nian and Jiang Jinyan may cross path a few times, but they won't meet until later chapters!

5. Character growth! How to get up after tumbling down, how to accept reality, how to get through traumas.
