My Hero Academia - Saiyaman

Chapter 6 - Survival Training

It had been three months already since I moved to Japan and went to middle school. Mina and I became really good friends during that time. We hung out quite often outside of the school.

I also met Kirishima Eijiro in the school. He was extremely timid and shy when I first approached him. He was nothing like his counterpart in U.A. High.

He was very unconfident about himself. I guess, him comparing himself to Mina in the future would be necessary for his change.

I actually tried to cheer him up sometimes, as well as give him some advice, but even though it seemed to have shown some effect on him, it was still not really remarkable. In the end, I decided to just let it be as it was, for now.

On another note, even though my parents weren't here with me, I didn't slack off in my training at all. I was still training every day for a few hours. Unfortunately, I didn't have anyone to spar with, nor did I have a training room to train in, so I had to change up my training program quite a bit.

Although my grandparents were still quite fit for their age, I didn't really want to fight them and I also probably wouldn't be able to go all out against them, or at least, I didn't want to do that.

Ultimately, I just decided to train by myself again.

I already acc.u.mulated enough combat experiences thanks to my parents, so I decided to solely focus on further strengthening my body and develop some new techniques.

What differentiated me from the others in this world was that my 'Quirk', or my abilities, weren't from this world.

Because I was a Saiyan, or rather because I could use Ki, I wasn't limited to any specific ability. For instance, everyone thought that my Quirk merely allowed me to manipulate energy to attack or boost my physical abilities, but this was clearly not entirely the case.

I was able to create and develop skills which were normally used in the world of the 'Dragon Ball' franchise, like the 'Instant Transmission' and the 'Dragon Fist' from Goku, the 'Solar Flare', 'Telekinesis' and even the 'Cloning'-technique from Tenshinhan.

Everything was possible.

Naturally, the premise for this was that I knew how to learn and use these techniques. And exactly because of that, I did manage to learn almost none of the aforementioned techniques.

Although I got some clues on how to learn some of them from this 'unknown entity' in my mind when I first received my 'Quirk', the method to learn them were rather fragmented, so I had to mostly figure it out by myself, which I already tried to do so for the past few years.

Nonetheless, I still did make some improvements, though. I was already able to fly due to the manipulation of my Ki and my innate ability as a Saiyan.

I still wasn't proficient enough at it to apply it on battles, yet, but I also wasn't really far from mastering it, too.

What came to me as a surprise was that my natural talent in sensing Ki was quite high. Not only was I able to sense the energy of other beings very clearly, I could even sense the natural energy in the environment and utilize it for myself.

With the inspiration from Goku, I created the skill 'Ki Transfer' which allowed me to grant some of my energy to a wounded person to restore some of their energy.

And I even developed this technique a little bit further. I combined my energy with the natural energy from the environment to further strengthen it. Now it could even additionally heal some minor injuries and I was pretty confident that in the future, I'll be able to heal even fatal injuries with this skill.

All in all, training was quite enjoyable for me. I even asked my parents to buy me customized weighted clothing and send it to me.

My parents were a bit surprised by this request. They never heard of something like this and didn't really know how to acquire them at first. They contacted many of their hero acquaintances and nearly all famous developers and requested for its production.

Luckily, the developers were not that oblivious as my parents and managed to create different kinds of sets of what I requested. Even weighed wristbands were added to the mix. I was really grateful to them for taking their time in helping me create these.

Now that I had everything that I needed, it was time to further increase the difficulty of my training.

- 1 year later -

Another year had gone by in the blink of an eye. I was now 13 years old. I grew incredibly stronger and taller. I was now 176 cm tall and my body became even more compact and refined.

My training was really fruitful and I developed many new skills and further honed the already existing ones.

I also taught Mina and Kirishima some hand-to-hand combat. At the beginning, Kirishima was rather shy and reluctant about it, but later opened up more and more, and then also started to quite enjoy it.

I must say, he was quite talented and it also boosted his confidence a little bit.

Mina, on the other hand, was really clumsy and was lacking too much in concentration, so it was rather hard teaching her, right now.

I still enjoyed it, though. It was a nice change of pace from always training alone.

There was another good news. My parents finally handled all of their businesses and moved to Japan. They immediately bought a new house when they arrived due to my grandparents' house being rather too small for all of us. So, in the end, we had to move again.

After settling into our new home, it was also around the time for school holidays. Mina repeatedly invited me to do lots of fun things together, but I had to decline her invitation. I had already plans for something else.

And yes, it had to with training..

..Again.

I wanted to do some 'survival training' in the wild, and learn how to cope with those kinds of circ.u.mstances. Well, when I say 'survival training', I didn't actually mean survival training as in going to an abandoned island without food or anything and trying to survive for my life.

Instead, it will be in a mysterious forest I recently came to know about. And basically, I'll camp in this environment with almost nothing on me.

I could only hope to find some animals in the wild to satisfy my gluttonous hunger.

However, despite already having this kind of plan in my mind, I still needed the approval from my parents or grandparents to do so. And naturally, my mom and grandma were absolutely against this idea.

They were afraid that something might happen to me, like some random villain or beast attacking me, even though they were aware that I was already very strong and could defend myself.

No matter what I said, they won't budge at all, so I had to send a pleading gaze to the other two men in the house.

My dad and grandpa looked at each other for a long second before bracing themselves to help me.

"Mother, Honey, just let him do what he wants. It isn't like it was that bad of an idea, you know.." my father came to my rescue.

"Indeed, some survival training would also add some versatility to his expertise as a future hero, you know.." my grandfather followed suit.

"Shut up! What if he comes across a villain or a situation he can't overcome, huh? Will you take responsibility if something bad happens to my baby?!" my mother lashed out furiously at them.

Being angrily reprimanded by my mother, their resolute expressions faltered for a second before they gritted their teeth and decided to try it again.

"It's not like he can't escape if worse comes to worst. You also know of his strength and all of his bizarre abilities. Even if he can't beat that villain, he could still fly away or something."

'Ohhh, way to go, dad. Fight-o!'

"But..-"

"Hah~, it's enough, Saya. He is right. Jay-chan is strong enough to take care of himself. Let's just let him do what he wants." my grandma cut off my mom before she could continue to argue further.

"Don't worry, guys. I will come back safely!" I immediately took this chance and promised them with an earnest expression on my face.

My mother was still very reluctant about this, but in the end, she still decided to no longer obstruct my decision. She threw herself at me and broke out in tears again.

Honestly, if someone other than her would react like that, I would've found it a little bit too exaggerated, but when it came to my mother, or my family in general, I only felt warmth and love.

I really appreciated it.

While hugging my weeping mom, I swear I saw from the corner of my eyes how my dad and my grandpa had given each other a quick high-five with a smug grin on their faces.

Well, whatever. After spending the rest of the day preparing all the necessary things and listening to my family's advices and instructions, I was finally good to go.

On the next day, I made my way towards the 'Moon Forest' which was located near a small village in the vicinity of the mountain side.

Though, what I hadn't known at that time, was that my mother's assumption will prove to be right and I was about to experience my first real battle against a villain soon..
