Chapter 57 - Wave arc(1)

After Naruto decides to argue with the Hokage, Rem and I remain silent. I know the Hokage will give him the mission, and so does Rem, as long as we can wait through his tirade We'll be able to go through with the mission.

"And you two, do you think you are ready?" snapping back to attention at the Hokage's question, we both say, "Yes, Sir, Hokage I believe we have the ability to get through a c-rank mission!"

I look at Rem, and she looks at me, and we stifle a laugh at our synchronicity.

"Please let in our guest," The Hokage directs the secretary outside, and then Tasuna the drunk bastard enters. "What?! You expect me to accept the idea that I'm supposed to be protected by two serious-looking midgets and a slightly taller midget with a dopey grin on his face?!" He then takes a sip from his bottle of some kind of alcohol.

Rem Interrupts him, "Well, I'm sorry that you aren't intelligent enough to notice that you are also getting a Jonin for free as well as the Top scoring team before becoming Genin out of the academy, you are lucky you aren't getting 2 Genin and a Chuunin from the Genin core. Be glad you are getting an expert team. Also, In case you haven't noticed," I poke him on the cheek with a shadow clone, with a dulled kunai, "If you were a bandit or enemy Genin you'd already be dead."

He then looks down noticing I'm standing on another shadow clone, and Rem is still standing over there with a triumphant grin on her face, before Kakashi makes a clone, walks over to me, and at the same time, knocks me over the head and Rem too. "What was that for?! ow ow ow!" I rub my head. "Don't frighten the client, I know you were trying to make a point but you took it too far." I sigh, and nod, dispelling the clone with kunai, and walking back to the group.

Tasuna coughs uncomfortably, and says, "F-Fine."

At the gate the next day, we are let out of the village after Kakashi arrives. Exclaims exuberantly, "Glad you aren't late Sensei!"

We both nod, and Rem grins, "I guess slacker Sensei can even be on time when he wants to be." He slumps, "I haven't been late since the 2nd week of your training."

I nod, "But only after the Hokage said you can't slack off or you'll be required to sit in the hospital for 2 hours a day for no reason!"

He shudders.

5 hours walking at civilian pace leads us to notice a puddle, 12 minutes walk away from us.

I nod at Rem, and she gets behind Kakashi, and she quickly taps on his palm in academy code. While covering with chatting.

"Hey Sensei, when we get back, will you teach me a new jutsu?"

--Possible, Enemy, In, Puddle. No, Rain, For, Weeks.--

He immediately taps back on Rem's hand,

"Not Yet, You need to master headhunter Jutsu first," He eye-smiles.

--Enemy, Confirmed, Take, No, Actions, Will, Investigate, By, Allowing, Attack, Act, Natural, Attempt, To, Ascertain, Target.--

Rem Comes back to me, with the same message, while putting her arm around my shoulder.

She then retracts her hand, saying. "Sensei needs to teach me more Jutsu."

Just as Kakashi passes in front of the Enemy puddle, he pretends to be shredded using a genjutsu.

Acting fast, I tell Naruto, "SNAP OUT OF IT! Guard Tasuna, Make 6 shadow clones, and make a perimeter around him.

He focuses, nods, and we immediately notice they try to go for Tasuna, "Earth Release! Earth Wall!" Rem makes a circular wall around Tasuna and the Naruto clones, I then shout, "Lightning Release! Air-cut! Sending hone enemy's head flying, and then Kakashi Jumps in to knock the other one out. He needs to get information after all.

I then use Max level acting, and as I notice Rem doing the same, I slowly walk past a tree and force myself to vomit, Rem, using her acting looks pale as a sheet, and starts shuddering. I notice Naruto is having a very real reaction to the corpse of the ninja.

I shudder.

Kakashi goes to comfort us.
