Kevin then told him : “Raven, as Axel said when we got here, you’ve gone too far this time and there will be consequences… You were ready to kill the oldest members of the Shapeshifters council to satisfy your greed for power, but let me tell you something you don’t know…”

Raven’s eyes had turned completely golden from his rage and he then asked him : “Enlighten me, human, tell me what I should know.”

Kevin smirked and said while showing him his pentagram mark on his chest : “All your plans were doomed to fail because I wouldn’t have given you a chance to succeed.”

He added almost disdainfully : “You think you’re powerful because you managed to turn into a Divine Dragon, so let me tell you that you’re far from the only one who has.

Axel and Liam both became Divine Wolves last Wednesday, when Liam’s life partner Ian became the new Demon King.”

He continued : “Ian last night has even turned into a Divin Drakonit, the first of its kind to achieve this feat.”

He smirked when he saw that this Dragon’s superiority complex had just been shattered and he said to him : “If you had come yesterday to join the battle with your Shapeshifters, you would have been able to judge for yourself the power that the humans you seem to despise so much can show.”

He then spread his arms and said to him : “I am the new King of the humans race and so, I am your King.”

He then looked at all the Shapeshifters that were present here : “I have come here to offer to all the Shapeshifters who want it to come and join us.

The atmosphere had become very solemn, because these words had been used since time immemorial to show loyalty to the bearer of the pentagram mark and all, except Raven, had just given their loyalty to their new King.

Raven then sneered and he asked him looking alternately at this human and Axel : “You said Axel was once a Shapeshifter, what nonsense is that, we all heard his wolf growl earlier ?”

Kevin then looked at Axel and he told him, through their link, ‘You can show him the difference between beeing a Shapeshifter and a Werewolf now, but used only your mother’s bloodline and don’t show him yet your divin power.’

This silent exchange between them didn’t escape anyone and everyone was stunned because a telepathic link between two soul mates was very rare, and of course that enraged Raven even more.

Axel, as for him, didn’t care much about their state of mind, and he followed the advice of the only person who mattered to him.

Silver circles immediately appeared around his pupils as well as an aura of the same color that also enveloped Kevin and when he heard everyone gasp in shock he told them : “Recently, I awakened my mother’s Werewolf bloodline, so technically I’m no longer a Shapeshifter, my Wolf side is now much stronger than before.”

Raven had been as shocked as the others because as Axel had just said, everyone could feel the power of his Wolf side and it had nothing to do with that of an ordinary wolf.

However, it didn’t change anything for him so he said, now that his curiosity had been satisfied : “Your Wolf has indeed become more powerful.”

And he added then looking at this human : “I will never submit to a human, and neither will my men, and I don’t know how you managed to fool everyone, but an Absolute Warrior is a fighter, he is not a mage, so that mark that you just proudly showed to everyone cannot be the real pentagram mark, you’re still not our rightful King.

So if you have the balls, let’s go fight and see who is stronger, the human or the Shapeshifter.”

The elders immediately became indignant because unlike Raven who was still very young for a Shapeshifter, they all knew very well that this mark could not be imitated and that only the true mark of the pentagram could appear at that very spot.

It was their fault that Raven ignored it but for millennia this mark had existed and many had tried to pass themselves off as the new King when the opportunity arose.

Only, even an identical tattoo with this same purple color, disappeared in a few minutes if it was done at this precise place, and therefore no one could imitate this mark.

It didn’t matter if their new King was a fighter or a mage, that mark on his chest meant that he had been chosen by the divine laws of this world and Raven was going to have to accept it.

And so, while some shouted at him, others were apologizing for his behavior to Kevin and Axel.

Raven was looking with obvious disgust at the other members of the council who only dared to rebel against him because they were still protected by these golden chains, and he frowned then as soon as this thought crossed his mind.

He had almost forgotten this annoying detail and he then said to this human hoping that he would fall into his trap : “I don’t know what your chains are made of, but since you’re an Absolute Warrior, I guess you don’t mind if we fight without weapons… Just hand-to-hand combat, is that all right ?”

Kevin then raised his hands to silence the elders of the Shapeshifters council who were still voicing their disapproval and he said first to the elders : “Don’t worry, my offer will still stand after this fight.”
