Because of that, she had no choice but to force herself, to walk once again. Yet again, she stopped after a couple of steps.

Just like earlier, Jonah just looked at her entertainingly as if having fun due to her misfortune.

"You would laugh at my death?" Han Jie said, exaggerating her outrage.

"Of course not miss," Jonah began solemnly. "Any last words?" he finished, a spark in his eyes.

Han Jie glared at him before she laughed and jokingly punched him on the arm.

"What do you really want, Miss?" Jonah asked, grinning at Han Jie.

He hoped she wasn't going to do anything too troublesome.

"I was just thinking… Since we are almost at the first floor… which is close to the kitchen… We could order desserts instead of calling from upstairs and waiting on our snacks. And besides, they would have working elevators out there, right?"

Jonah's eyes were twinkling as he repressed his laughter.

He knew Han Jie didn't want to climb twenty flights of stairs. He was actually going to lead them through the first-floor door, so they could wait there until one of the elevator's was fixed at least. This way, he could also delay her drama.

They still wonder how come a five-star hotel only has one elevator working at its parking lots. Nevertheless, thankfully it was not far from the first floor, and there was a high chance that they won't be walking toward their suite.

'Good thing, the food is really good.' Jonah thought to himself. It was past dinner time, and he wouldn't be surprised if she actually wanted more than desserts.

"Of course, miss," Jonah said as he opened the door of the first floor. Finally, they managed to reach it without much complaint from Han Jie.

She gasped, "You knew?!" Han Jie said, accusingly making Jonah laugh as she followed him to the first floor of the hotel lobby.

The hotel and the shopping mall were connected. At that time, the hallway to the shopping mall was already closed, but the hotel first had its own 24/7 restaurant where guests could get food from. That was where they went immediately.

"Do you still want more than desserts, right?" Jonah innocently asked what he had in mind, all along.

Han Jie growled at him, "Of course I do!" She almost yelled.

Jonah helped her get someone to get her packed food to be brought to the suite as well as some more desserts before leading her towards the bank of elevators.

Luckily, there seem to be working elevators this time. Han Jie immediately picked one at random and walked to it and pushed the up button.

However, she instead slammed into the person trying to get out of the elevator, hitting her nose on the muscle's hard wall.

"I think so." Han Jie said as she looked up to glare at the offender she had bumped into.

Surprise, surprise. She bumped none other than her cousin.

Han Jun glared at her as he held the elevator doors open with his hand, and then step out of it. "Apologize." He said, gritted out.

"No." Han Jie said defiantly. How dear him command her to apologize? The arrogance of him.

"Why are you still, even here? I already talk to my uncle. You can go up and not hide. Thanks to me?" He said with arms crossed over his chest.

"Oh… Thank you then." Han Jie replied with an awkward smile. She then noticed that he was wearing something that looked like he was going on a date.

His hair was looked clean and neat. Han Jun was wearing black slacks and a blue polo shirt.

Han Jie could not help but be curious, especially when he smelled so good. "Where are you going?" She asked, full of interest. It was seldom to see him looking so fresh and handsome. "You look good tonight. Are you going to hook-up with someone?" She asked suggestively with a grin.

"What?" Han Jun frowned and glared at her. He then stepped away from her, trying to pass through their other side.

Of course, Han Jie would not let go of the opportunity to make fun of Han Jun. So she chased after him and managed to block his path.

"Come on, JunJun. Where did you meet your date? Tinder?" She asked.

"Idiot." Han Jun muttered with a glare, he then looked up and stared behind her. "Uncle, she wants to sneak out." He said talking behind her.

Han Jie immediately stiffened, when she heard him say 'uncle'. She then slowly turned around to greet her father. However, there was no Han Feng behind her!

And when she looked back to Han Jun, he was nowhere to be found as well. He managed to run away from her.

Jonah knew where Han Jun went, but there was no way he would let her know about it. What if Han Jie decided to go out as well?

Before Han Jie started to look for Han Jun all over the place, Jonah already dragged her to the elevators.

Han Jie suddenly grinned at the closed doors, "He is sneaking out, isn't he?" Han Jie cheerfully concluded as she watched the floors go by.

Han Jie removed her sunglassed and put it in her purse. She hoped her father hadn't noticed her absence as she tried to sneak back into the suite.

Jonah was behind him, waiting for her to open the door so he could get into his room as well as soon as possible.

If he was not sleeping yet, he should not be so mad right since Han Jun already explained the situation.

Han Jie opened the door quietly and stepped in just as quiet.

It was too late. Han Feng was seated in the living room, reading another newspaper.

'What is he doing here?' Han Jie thought. He was dressed in his usual attire, without the jacket and tie. His sleeves were rolled up. Han Feng for the first time since his wife's death looked so exhausted.

'Did something else happen that JunJun did not tell me?' She thought to herself in confusion. Han Jie looked at Jonah for help as he closed the door quietly behind them.

"Welcome back. Where did you all go?" Han Feng asked, resigned and tired. Han Jun just mentioned them going out

"Just out." Han Jie said softly hopping her father would let the conversation drop.

"Where's out?" Han Feng asked still reading his paper.

"Well, out is outside the hotel suite daddy." Han Jie said, plopping down on the settee opposite her father. "You look tired. Why not rest first? Then interrogate me tomorrow?" She suggested trying to sound cute.

Jonah stood pensively behind her, staring straight ahead.

"I am fine. Do you think I am interrogating? I just wanted to know what my daughter was doing." Han Feng said, finally dropping the newspaper he had been reading. Or just staring at.

"Daddy, what's wrong?" Han Jie finally asked. For her, his father was acting strange. It was seldom he looked like this. Though she occasionally pisses him off, Han Feng looked more angry than tired. Right now, he was like giving up on something.

But what?

"Your sister, there was news of her." Han Feng said softly.

"Really? Where is she?" Han Jie immediately asked, delighted. However, she immediately realized that her father was not as happy as her. "Did something happen? Daddy tell me. What is going with MaeMae?"

Han Feng released a deep sigh, "I don't know."

"Why you don't know? Daddy, tell me everything!" She demanded. Han Feng was like delaying the news, and Han Jie was ready to shake more details out of him.

"There were traces of her on City S. The people looking for her were still gathering more information. We don't know her exact whereabouts yet." He said finally. He had been worried sick, almost frantic when he had learned the news about her eldest daughter an hour ago.

He had asked Han Jun to go look for her in City S personally before Suzuki Kyou noticed that something was amiss.

Yes, Han Feng was not able to confess the truth to Suzuki Kyou earlier. In fact, he was not given a chance to do so. For her, the man was way younger than him, but Han Feng was easily pressured by him, before he even opens his mouth.

If Suzuki Kyou learned that Han Mae runs away because of the marriage with him, what will he do?

After all, the man was the one who insisted on the marriage agreement, regardless of the Suzuki family's opinion…
