My New Life In One Piece

Chapter 10 - Trip to West Blue and unexpected discoveries

The days after Hina's departure, Kaito, despite feeling sad, tried to get distracted by the training. Sengoku told him that they would leave in a week so until that moment Kaito continued training. His mastery in fencing was at the level of a naval captain, in Sengoku's words, he had seen many swordsmen, but Kaito was very talented. By believing that her technique was already good, she stopped focusing on her technique, and she refocused on the rokushiki style. I did not stop training fencing, but I spent more time training the geppo, the tekkai and the soru. Which were the styles of rokushiki in which Kaito stood out. He also continued with his training in the haki.

The days passed that way and soon the moment of the trip with his grandfather arrived. Sengoku explained that this trip would last several months and could even exceed the year of travel, during this time he would visit the four seas; North Blue, South Blue, East Blue and West Blue. Sengoku had postponed this trip for several years, to be appointed new admiral of the fleet, Sengoku should have made this trip to make inspection at the bases of the navy spread around the world and in turn, Sengoku will meet several kings and queens.

The trip would begin first by going to West Blue. Sengoku expected Kaito to continue his training during the trip and also to begin to gain experience in navigation.

The morning of the day of departure, Kaito was on the deck of the ship. The expedition would be formed by 5 battlesh.i.p.s. And next to Sengoku, they were accompanied by Admiral Kuzan.

Kuzan - what do you see Kaito? -

Kaito - I was watching Marineford. I do not know how long I will be traveling and I feel a little sad to leave my home -

Kuzan - you do not have to worry about that, I'm sure you'll come back at some point. Also, if you think you are a marine you will have to prepare yourself to be away from home for long periods -

Kaito - yes, you're right -

Sengoku - what are you talking about? -

Kaito - oh, hi ojichan, we did not talk about anything important -

Sengoku - oh -

Kaito - by the way, ojichan, if you leave the base who will be in charge -

Sengoku - I have left Garp in charge with Borsalino and Sakazuki. Anyway, if something happens, they will inform me immediately and I will immediately return to the base -

Kaito - oh -

The three continued talking for a few minutes until an officer came and reported that everything was ready to set sail. After that both Sengoku and Kuzan went to their posts. Kaito continued looking towards Marineford.

Kaito saw how it was getting harder and harder to see the island. When I passed the doors of justice and they closed, Kaito stopped looking and went to his room on the ship.

After lunch at noon, Kaito continued training in the gym and on the deck of the boat. In some free moments, Sengoku watched him train and corrected him when he was wrong about something. Kaito continued training during the following days.

After a few days they arrived at the Red Line, in the middle part of the Grand Line. From there they would pass over crossing the holy land of Mary Geoise.

Kaito - Ojichan we can visit Mary Geoise -

Sengoku - no, we have to cross the Lina Network quickly as they wait for us on the other side, and the weather in the new world is unpredictable. I prefer to arrive before the new world and then go directly to the Calm Belt to reach the West Blue -

Kaito -oh. In agreement -

Kaito got a little discouraged because he was curious about the holy land of Mary Geoise. It took three days to cross the Red Lina and on the fourth day they continued their journey on the new sh.i.p.s.

After another week they reached the Calm Belt that separated the new world with the West Blue.

Kaito - I did not think it was as quiet as they said -

Kaito was looking at the calm sea.

Kuzan - that's right, it's hard to imagine if you've never been before, but these areas of the sea are that quiet. The only thing we have to worry about are the kings of the sea -

Kaito - oh, I'd like to see one -

Despite the expectations of Kaito, no king of the sea dared to approach the sh.i.p.s to feel very strong presence within the boats.

On the third day after entering the Calm Belt, the sh.i.p.s finally arrived at the West Blue.

Kaito - ojichan, where will we go first? -

Sengoku - our base in this area will be the base of the eighty brigade. From there we will make the different trips through the West Blue -

Kaito - oh, I thought we would be the whole trip going from island to island -

Sengoku - of course not, that only pirates do. We, being the navy, can stay as long as we want on the islands. But this time we have the base of the eighty brigade well positioned in the West Blue, we will stay there -

Kaito - in agreement -

Two days passed and the sh.i.p.s finally spotted the base of the eighty brigade. When Sengoku arrived, he went to the office of the chief of the brigade. While Kaito was guided to the room where he would live from now on.

Despite the d.e.s.i.r.e to explore the base, Kaito decided to rest in the room. Despite not being very tired, he still preferred to sleep on dry land than the high seas. Surely it would end up getting used to, but Kaito still did not have much experience in spending long stays sailing.

Kaito spent the rest of the day in his new room. The next day, having already rested, he explored the base. Unlike Marineford. On this island, apart from the Navy barracks, there was a small town. Kaito was not interested in visiting the town since he had nothing special and after exploring the base, he also got bored with it. In the afternoon, Kaito met his grandfather.

Kaito - Ojichan, how long will we be here -

Sengoku - we will stay at the base for a few weeks, then we will start visiting the nearby islands -

Kaito decided that during that time he would continue training. It was the only thing I could do since there was not a large library on this base like in Marineford and the few books that most have already read Kaito.

The weeks passed and Kaito progressed in his haki training with the help of Kuzan. Unlike Sengoku, Kuzan spent most of the day sleeping while sunbathing. In the end Sengoku got angry and ordered him to help Kaito in his training.

Kuzan fulfilled his orders and started helping Kaito in his training. Kaito with the help of Kuzan started making progress and came to feel that spiritual energy on which the haki was based.

Over time Kaito focused on feeling the spiritual energy and stopped trying to transform it into haki. Kaito had a theory about spiritual energy so he decided to put it into practice. Throughout the days, Kaito stayed in his room meditating and feeling the spiritual energy.

Kaito - (oh, so I was right!) -

Kaito realized that he could control the spiritual energy within his body and cause it to circulate within him as he wished. He began to practice this and saw that he could concentrate the energy in parts of his body when he did it in his fist he could see that it acquired a slight black hue. Immediately Kaito realized that this was busoshoku haki. In spite of not being in his complete form, Kaito could deduce that normally a person with training arrives to unconsciously circulate his spiritual energy and use it as haki. As for the traumatic events that could also awaken the haki in someone, Kaito still did not know what this process was like to wake up the haki.

Kaito continued to experiment by concentrating his spiritual energy on different parts of his body. Kaito discovered that, if he kept the spiritual energy concentrated in one point, as time went by the energy consumed and ended up disappearing. Then I noticed that it was back to form naturally again. But what I came to feel was that the amount was greater. In this way Kaito also deduced that the greater the training the greater the spiritual power and therefore the greater the strength of the haki and its duration when used also increases.

In the end Kaito also managed to know how the kenbunshoku haki worked. By concentrating your spiritual energy and then releasing it to the environment you could feel everything around you with great precision. Kaito deduced that in this way a person could feel with his haki his surroundings, and as far as predicting the movements of an opponent, simply with the haki you could get to feel how the muscles of an opponent contracted and moved, with this information, you could guess the next movement of the opponent since any movement of the body is done, making small movements of all the muscles of the body.

Everything that Kaito discovered, I do not inform him. He was afraid that the World Government would silence him in any way. He could imagine that the world government was not in favor of people knowing about a relatively easy method of using haki. And especially when he made his last discovery.

One day that Kaito practiced control of spiritual energy, a hypothesis occurred to him. Throughout someone's life, the spiritual energy is inside each one. When a person comes to feel and use it, he spends it and it is renewed. And if the person trains his body, the spiritual energy that can acc.u.mulate in the body increases. This showed a relation of physical strength to the strength of the haki. A clear example was a container of water, the larger the container, the greater amount of water enters.

As to how the spiritual energy was recomposed, Kaito realized that there were two ways, the first was to recover the spiritual energy autonomously, that is from the body itself when you rest, but Kaito also realized that if you had knowledge and Control over spiritual energy, you could get to gather spiritual energy from the environment and acc.u.mulate it inside you. In that moment he realized a mystery that always intrigued him in the past. How the haki could control almost all the Amazons. If it was because they have a special training technique then other people might have wanted to know it. But apparently the island of the Amazons had no problems in that regard. With the new discovery Kaito deduced that there were places in which the spiritual energy was more dense and therefore the people who lived in those areas were more likely to use the haki, since their bodies would have adapted to absorb the spiritual energy in a way unconscious.

All this information was not very important because surely someone had already deduced that, but the second method of retrieving haki was something that could not get the public, Kaito did not know if his control over spiritual energy was something of his own or there would be more people who could get to do the same.

Kaito thought that other methods could use spiritual energy not only in the two current types of haki. After thinking, Kaito was very surprised at an idea in his mind.

Either because a person lives in these areas with great spiritual energy density or they were born with a lot of spiritual energy. If a sufficient amount of spiritual energy was reached in the body it was possible to have haoshoku haki. Kaito came to think that perhaps when a person used this type of haki, he did it by releasing it violently, that great amount of spiritual energy released at once caused people with what Kaito called, small vessels of spiritual energy, to collapse by the great amount of spiritual energy that came to enter their bodies.

At that time, Kaito managed to understand why few people had this type of haki. It may be related to the bloodlines, but it seemed that the Monkey family had a tendency to have this haki. As for the rest either as Boa Hanc.o.c.k, which he probably did by living in an area of great spiritual energy and by his past experiences that could have some relationship with people who awaken the haki after a trauma. And finally people who have come to train so much and are made so strong that their body can store a large amount of spiritual energy, this could be the case for most people who possessed this haki. As for the strength of this haki between each individual, it depended on their own strength and amount of energy that they were able to use.

Kaito just decided to keep all this information in his mind and never divulge it. It could bring you many problems in the future.

Kaito decided to continue his training in spiritual energy because despite his theories he still had to demonstrate them and the best way was to train. In addition, Kaito wanted to know if he could use spiritual energy in other ways and even if he could have haoshoku haki.
