Chapter 6 - Trip To UA

"Do I really have to do that dad" I w.h.i.n.ed?

"If you want to come with me you do" he patted my head.

"But, It's embarrassing!"

He only chuckled.

I sat back in my chair and crossed my arms annoyed. Even though I seemed upset about the stupid thing my father wanted me to do I was actually super excited.

My father being one of the top ranked heroes was called by Nezu the principal of UA, because one of their teachers were injured and couldn't teach today. When I found out I practically begged him to let me come. And he agreed to let me take a day off school since I always got good grades.

He called the school back to make sure if it was okay for me to come and Nezu agreed as long as I don't cause problems.

"We're here" my father spoke up.

I looked out the window and saw the massive 15 foot tall gate surrounding the school.

My father pulled our car up to the entrance where we were stopped by a scary looking security guard. My father showed his identification and the guard waved us through.

As we entered I noticed a soft light enveloping the car. Looking around I saw a female guard not far from away staring at us intently.

I wondered if her Quirk allowed her search everyone passing through the employee entrance.

The two guards were the only security measures I could see so I couldn't help but, wonder about all the defenses I didn't see. The top ranked Hero school in the country had to have some awesome defenses.

We found a parking spot and walked to the main building to get checked in.

It was still early morning and the only people roaming the halls were staff and Pro Heroes. My father greeted all the Heroes we passed and they waved back at him.

My dad led me to the class A-1 class room.

"Alright, wait here for a little while, while I go up and meet with Nezu to get today's lesson plan."

I nodded and took out my phone to play some games while. I was a bit upset I wouldn't get to meet the legendary dog/bear/mouse thing and started searching up different Pro Heroes on my phone.

I was wondering who the students my dad was going to be teaching were. Because all the characters I could think of from the show either would have already graduated or were the same age as me. So I was very interested to see if there was anyone I would recognize.

The door slid open and I looked up expecting to see my dad but, was shocked by who it actually was.

It was Miruko the future 5th ranked Hero! Her dark skin, platinum hair, and rabbit ears were instantly recognizable.

"Eh? Who the hell are you shrimp" he gave me a weird look?

"Don't call me shrimp" I yelled back!

"Tch, this is a school for Heroes not a kindergarten. How did you ever get in here?"

My eye twitched, I knew that I technically was still a child but, having it pointed out always pissed me off.

I jumped out of the chair I was sitting on confronted her.

"I may be a kid but, at least I don't look like I'm addicted to spray tans!"

"Hey! This is my natural skin color you little twirp you gotta problem with that!"

"Not really but, you insulted me first! I had to retaliate!"

She glared at me for a couple seconds before bursting out laughing "I like you kid, I can tell that we're the same and that you don't take shit from anyone!"

I humphed and looked away.

"We even got similar Quirks! I'm a rabbit and you're a cat" she reached down and patted my head which made my ears twitch.

"Knock it off" I threw her hand away and backed off blushing, which made her laugh even more.

"Oh, one of the students is here already" my dad walked back in carrying a stack of paperwork.

Miruko's face lit up in recognition "You're Calico! You're one one of my favorite Heroes! Are you filling in for our homeroom teacher today?"

"That's right" he nodded "I'll be filling in for a week or two until he's healed."

"Then I assume that this is your son" she pointed at me while I was still trying to get my hair back in order?

"Yes, he's an aspiring Hero too and I've brought him here today to help out with lesson I came up with."

Not long later more students started pouring in and the first bell rang signaling the start of class.

My dad introduced himself as Iga Sensei but, told everyone they could call him Calico Sensei if they preferred. After that he had them go around and introduce themselves since he would be teaching them for a while.

Aside from Miruko I didn't recognize anyone else so that was disappointing but, I did learn that Miruko's real name was Rumi.

After my dad had them turn in their homework from the day before. He had us head outside and load up into a bus.

I wanted to sit up front with him but, he forced me to sit in the back with the students, saying that I needed to socialize more. I swear he was smiling as he threw me back to the wolves.

The reason I hated being called little was because most of the time it ended with people calling me cute and invading my personal space. And in the entire world there wasn't a group of people that cared about a child's personal space less than high school girls.

They had been eyeing me ever since class began. My blue hair and cat ears tended to have that kind of effect on girls and it didn't help that I was decently handsome inheriting my moms good looks.

So when I was tossed to the back of the bus it ended up in a free for all between the girls as to whose l.a.p I was going to sit on.

I know most men would enjoy something like this and even I couldn't say I hated it. But, damned if it wasn't embarrassing!

My face was red the entire trip and I could see Rumi sitting at the back of the bus laughing her a.s.s of at my misfortune.

When we finally arrived at our destination I looked like I had just been thrown out of a washing machine. My clothes were messed up my head had been patted so many times I was worried my hair would fall out.

Seeing my miserable state my father only patted my shoulder and said "get used to it because this never stops. It's the curse us cat people must bear."

He walked off and chuckled softly as I mumbled angrily.

"Alright class listen up" my father clapped "we're here at Ground Beta the emulated cityscape training ground because we're going to be doing a training exercise today."

"What exactly are we going to be doing Calico Sensei" one of the students asked?

"It's simply" my father pulled me to his side "Villains are underhanded and will use anything possible to get an advantage over you. It is guaranteed that you will face a hostage situation multiple times over your future Hero careers. To that end" my father smiled "I'm going to split your class into two groups Heroes and Villains and my son here will be playing the role of hostage.

I could see them excitedly smiling about this exercise since they hardly ever get to train with real people in this kind of situation.

My dad gripped my shoulder and whispered "do it" in my ear.

"But, I don't want to" I w.h.i.n.ed.

His response was to grab my shoulder harder and threaten me "If you don't do it then I'm going to ground you from training for a month."

"What you can't do that!"

"I can do that because I'm your father" he smirked.

I grit my teeth and resolved myself to just get it over with.

Summoning up my cutest face a fidget slightly and looked up at the class with my best kitten eye I spoke "please save me from the bad guys, nyah!"

Literal hearts formed in the girls eyes and even the boys looked a little affected by my cuteness, which didn't sit right with me at all.

The only one not swooning over me was Rumi who had fallen to the ground in a fit of laughter after overhearing the conversation between me and my dad with her Quirk.

A just stood there in a deep shame knowing that I would never be able to live this down.

While I was wallowing in self pity my dad split the class up into groups and explained the rules.

The Villains were going to get a half hour head start to see up their base wherever they wanted and to build up their defenses.

Then once the Heroes entered it would be their job to find and save me. It would definitely be an uphill battle for the Heroes but, that was the point.

After the teams were selected I was tied up by one of the Villains who had a Quirk letting the create and control rope and carried princes style into the city.

I swore to myself that no matter how long it took I would get back at my dad for putting me in this situation.
