Before he could react, the door of the room was nudged open revealing a tall woman combing her newly-shaded hair, however, she, unlike any other woman, wasn't as excited as he expected her to be instead the look on the face remained as dry as dust. Regardless of how emotionless she looked, her new makeover turned her into an entirely different person making her much more charming and beautiful.

His cold eyes sized her from head to toe before extending his hand, "Hello, let me introduce myself. I'm Eden." Just after the introduction, the previously distant face now was plastered with a bright grin while his eyes were twinkling like stars and had the word 'interested' written on the forehead.

Gazing at his face glowing with playfulness, her under-eye twitched slightly. The impression of this cold man in her mind instantly crumpled into ashes.

'Weren't you just aloof towards me a while back?'

Meanwhile, the other two people had their eyes widened like saucers gaping in the direction of their boss. If this were in the past, they wouldn't have believed if someone informed them about their boss being such a volatile person but now after witnessing his mischievous front, they fell into the state of bewildering. Never in their wildest dream, they would've thought that he could display such a decent sight. His clean-cut face now looked, even more, bewitching with the smile displaying these pearly teeth.

Suddenly, they felt envious of the woman beside them. Since the beginning until now, never did their boss once smile at them nor did he affirm them but now he was grinning like a fool with his hand extended.

'Why does she get a smile while we get a scolding from him?' they wept bitterly inside their hearts.

Unable to comprehend his everchanging attitude, she hesitated before she put up her hand but just as it touched his fingers,

Ting!

The sudden sound popping out of nowhere astounded her and caused her to jerk a little. Her actions halted before her hand retreated back to Its original spot.

Eden watched her heave back and then the hand move away from his fingertips. He frowned as he couldn't understand why she decided to retract her hand. His previously anticipating face now distorted. Just when he was about to question the woman, he heard her say, "Sorry! Mr.Eden but I have something important to attend to." And then without looking back, she dashed forward to the entrance and left the place.

His eyes followed along with the woman until she left. However, unlike before this time neither did his face switch ugly nor depressing rather there was a look interest and curiosity in eyes. His gaze was akin to a leopard preying his food.

" Interesting" He muttered as the corners of his lips curled up slightly. Retracting his gaze from the long disappeared figure, he swiveled around and sauntered in the direction he just came from.

The stylist and the manager at the sidelines were dumbfounded and dazed by the sudden turn of episodes making them wonder if the whole occurrence was just a part of their hallucination.

Nonetheless, the manager also felt relieved as she guessed that her boss might've forgotten the drama that occurred since he was usually busy with the other tasks on his hand and just when she was about to sigh in relief she heard an aloof voice echoing inside the hallway. "Manager, you're out." Then the source of the sound disappeared behind the door leaving the manager kneeling on the floor with her face cupped.

"Amy? Why did we rush out of the salon?" Aadhya interrogated.

Inside the salon, when her finger touched him, a notification popped up in her mind and out of nowhere, Amy's voice rang out suggesting her to walk out immediately.

Although she didn't know why the latter wanted her to leave, she complied with it and promptly left the place.

"Nothing, I thought we should just hurry up and return back since you still aren't entirely healed." Her sweet voice was laced with worry which made her feel warm inside her heart. Dispelling the thoughts inside her head, Aadhya replied "Well, not yet. Let's enjoy the night and celebrate my second life." She smiled as she hopped out of the mall.

"Aadhya? Aren't you worried that you'd get caught?" Amy was perplexed at her moodiness. She found it difficult to understand the latter.

"Don't worry about that. Just follow me."

"*sigh* how can I not be worried now that you've invited the problem on to yourself. If not for me, you'd have been done for soon." Amy muttered in a barely audible tone.

"What? Gosh, Amy? Can't you just say it out loud? " Aadhya rolled her eyes inwardly.

"Nothing." She quietened down.

Aadhya and Amy wandered around on the streets bustling with people, the lights above her head were twinkling and sparkling and appeared dazzlingly. The whole place looked lively and bright.

Aadhya looked around with her eyes full of fervor and satisfaction. This was the scene she longed for her entire life. Ever since her childhood until she reached the age of sixteen she was imprisoned inside the extravagant and glamour castle which they claimed as home. Later when she was sent aboard by her father, she became busy strengthening herself and the power she possessed resulting in having barely any contact with the living world. After accomplishing the mission, when she returned back to her country she fell in the sea of despair, fighting for the position which was initially meant for her. However, she failed miserably and was later forced to leave her place by the circ.u.mstances. Her journey thereafter never once was smooth but filled with ups and downs even though she experienced a few heartwarming episodes and met few amazing people, she never really got to experience the liveliness since she always had to be prepared for the run any time.

Glancing around, her eyes stung as peered at the couples holding each other in their embraces, whispering sweet nothing which even she once wished to do. She paused there watching them laugh with their hands interlocked. Her aura seemed to have changed after witnessing the scene of the couple acting lovey-dovey. Hauling her desolated aura, she retracted her gaze and walked ahead.

'Jonah? Have you ever imagined us acting like this in the past?'

Amy sensed the change in her aura, though she wanted to ask her why she restrained herself as she knew that the latter wouldn't bother to respond to her.

She wandered aimlessly on the streets for a long time before halting in front of a bar. Peering at the huge red flashes on the screen, she sighed and walked inside before reaching the bar counter and ordered a box of beer for herself.
