My Siren Brother

Chapter 5 - My Sense of Vanity

He praised my talent, I feel happy.

He pointed out my defects, I curse him to be unhappy.

I dream of slaying a hundred wild goblins.

To be revered by my human goblins.

Dragon Dragon, where are you?

My vanity will be unleashed by slaying you.

I want people to praise me, fear me, and rever me.

Though I can accomplish naught but a fart in me.

Bubbling childishness, I seek my familial acknowledgement.

Sprouting teen, I d.e.s.i.r.e the cliche peanut gallery.

Raging youth, I d.e.s.i.r.e mortal possessions.

Accomplished man, I d.e.s.i.r.e a heaven defying progeny.

Waning lifespan, I d.e.s.i.r.e the younglings to look up to my history.

Peak of mortality, I want mother Earth to imprint myself into her everlasting magnificence.

Just to make the peanut goblins exclaim, "What a life he had. He was a man among men!"

In hopes to satisfy my unquenchable vanity.
