My Sunshine: Glad To Find You

Chapter 51 - Mean wifey

Jess was troubled with the immediate turn of events and when she decided to ask him about it, John shushed her and stroked her back, urging her sleep. As the night was no longer young, she fell asleep, in his arms feeling relaxed.

He lulled her to sleep, but he was far away from being sleepy. His thoughts kept him wide awake, not to forget his hard member which hurt him a little.

John replaced the vacant space with a pillow that was created because of him getting up from the bed. He went back to his room to get a cold shower and think things through. He knew of the fact that Jess's previous relationship ended on terrible terms and she was heartbroken after it. It took him a lot of patience and care to let her open up to him; he didn't want to ruin it.

After changing into a fresh set of clothes, he took a wet towel and wiped Jess's face helped her into a nightgown. He left her there and went to the library to finish some work.

______________

A pair of lashes fluttered open and observed the surroundings. Rubbing her eyes, Jess sat up and looked around.

'I am alone here. Where is he?'

This was her very first thought. She moved the blanket and stepped on the floor.

'Wait! Wasn't I.....' Her face turned a little red thinking John must have helped her dress up.

He cared for her; he loved her very much. She knew it and didn't need him to keep telling her the same but what happened last night kept bugging him.

Various thoughts run through her mind. 'Does he not like me? Did I do something wrong?'

She kept thinking she must have done something wrong for him to behave this way all of a sudden.

She made her way towards the kitchen and seeing that John was preparing breakfast for them brought a smile up her lips. She went and sat on the stool kept in front of the kitchen counter.

'Cough, cough'

"Good morning dear. Did you sleep well?" John immediately turned his back to her after saying this.

Jess felt that he was behaving a little distant. They were never like this before. Her mood soured and she turned her gaze away to look away and replied with lost enthusiasm that she was ok.

Seeing that he had no intention of talking to her about last night or anything at the moment, she turned around and got down from the stool.

"Where do you think you are going without having the breakfast I prepared for you?" He passed her a plate of sandwiches and omelets. "Here, eat it while it is hot. You can freshen up work once you finish it."

He sat down in front of her and poured two glasses of coffee and proceeded to have his breakfast as well.

John was not oblivious to the thoughts going on in that little brain of her. All he wanted to do was pull her into his arms and hug her, tell her that it was not her fault and that she was beautiful. It was he who needed more time. He wanted her first time to be special.

Unable to take in her sad face any longer, he decided to break the ice but she beat her to it.

"Why?" She softly said, moving a piece of the omelet around the plate. Her lowered eyes looked up to meet his evading eyes. She kept the fork aside and now stared at his face.

He sighed.

"I didn't know it was going to be your first time." He finally met her gaze. Her eyes had lost its usual light and looked dull. "I want your first time, our first time to be a little more special and not like this. Jess, I love you. I love you so very much that I want everything to be perfect when it comes to you."

He could no longer hold himself back and rushed to her side and pulled her into his embrace. Tears wet a patch on his t-shirt and he rubbed her back to calm her.

Jess felt a pang of pain in heart when she heard him speak. She was not ready for everything that was going to happen last night but she wanted to push herself for him.

Tears didn't seem to stop at the thought that he held himself back just for her.

Feeling a little better, Jess pulled back a little and pulled his face a left a sweet kiss on his lips.

"Thank you for everything." She took in a deep breath and turned around to finish her breakfast.

John started laughing at the change of behavior. "Ahh, here I see my mean wifey. As soon as the work is done, you didn't even think twice before leaving me. Tsk, tsk"

Jess smiled and hummed in reply. They both finished their breakfast in peace and got ready for work.
