My Sunshine: Glad To Find You

John had a private elevator which took him directly from the bas.e.m.e.nt to his personal office. Due to his current takeover, he spent most of his time in his office so other than the time when he was officially meeting people, employees hardly got a glimpse of him. He was very secretive in his appearance and even his personal secretary, Jess had seen him only once.

He was on his way back to the Green Valley Estates. It usually took half an hour drive from the company to reach the estate. The Green Valley area was famous for its top class security and beautiful scenery around each villa. There were only twenty villas in the Estate and each villa had its own pool and garden. Gardener and service help was available for maintenance and upkeep of the property. Only the very wealthy businessmen and celebrities had their properties here.

John did not like people around him, so he preferred working by himself than to keep maids to carter to his needs. After freshening up he sat down on the sofa of the living room and switched on his television to enjoy some time off. An envelope left on the coffee table grabbed his attention. He thought for a while, but ultimately decided to leave it as it was. His phone rang.

"Hello dad"

"Hello, your mother is returning tomorrow and she wants you to meet her. So keep a few days free."

"Okay dad I will"

The father and son continued with their conversation about the work and changes in schedules.

"That is all I had to say, so I will hang up the call now dad. Tell Grandpa that everything here is going on as planned and there is no such issues"

"Hmm okay take care son, but did you check the contents of that envelope yet? I think you should once."

John: "...." After a short pause, "Okay dad I will look into it and let you know"

George was overjoyed, someone made a progress. " Yes, yes take care."

He was staring at the envelope. Maybe he should just take a look at it once, it is not that it will harm him in any way.

He took a sip of coffee and finally decided to take a look at the contents of the envelope.

After opening it, his eyes widened in surprise. It was the photo of the girl who took his heart away at the very first sight in Sydney, the girl who was his secretary, the girl was none other than Jessica herself. He had a silly smile on his face as he thought to himself "So she is the one my father was trying to set me up with. Interesting. She is the daughter of my father's best friend"

But one thing did confuse him, according to his father, they both received each others pictures so did she not see his picture even once. If she did, did she not want to meet him? Did she not like him?

Thinking about these the light in his grey eyes turned a little darker. He wanted to know the answers to all his but she was not here. He had to do something to make her like him. It was a long way to go but now he was happy that it was she that his father was trying to set him up with.
