My Two Dads

Chapter 15.2

That day, Lu You Qi came over as a guest. As soon as he entered the house, he saw the big words that were like a source of light and was stunned for a moment.

He sat down in awe, accepted the tea given by Yang Mo and pointed at the words ‘Han Shi Yu’ written on it, asking, “Is he that shameless?”

Yang Mo shook his head and sighed. “What do you want with your visit here?”

Lu You Qi: “I’m working at Yue Xin now, so I’m here to let you know.”

Yang Mo: “Congrats.”

Lu You Qi smiled, “We’ll be competitors from now on.”

The two continued to chat.

Yang Han, who had just woken up, walked out of her room in her pajamas. It was the last weekend before the midterm exams. Yang Han had been studying really hard recently and was a bit sleep deprived so she was making up for it over the weekend.

She rubbed her eyes and called out, “Dad, is there anything left from breakfast…”

She suddenly saw a head of blonde hair which belonged to Lu You Qi, let out a yelp and returned into hiding. “There are guests…Let me tidy up my appearance first…”

Lu You Qi looked at her, smiled and asked Yang Mo, “Where is this little girl from?”

Yang Mo: “My daughter.”

""

Lu You Qi turned towards Yang Mo, surprised. “Oh, you have a daughter already. Congratulations.”

The air was silent for a while.

Lu You Qi’s brain slowly started analyzing the situation then he slowly spit out, “…Yours and?”

Yang Mo answered faintly, “Han Shi Yu’s.”

Lu You Qi’s pupils gradually widened as if they were experiencing a cosmic flood, refreshing his entire world view.

Lu You Qi: “You gave birth to her?!”

Yang Mo: “Get out.”

That day, Zhou Yi came over as a guest. As soon as he entered the house, he saw the big words that were like a source of light and was shocked for a while. But he still walked in and sat down like it was something he was used to.

Han Shi Yu brought out a cup of tea for him. Zhou Yi grabbed it and took a sip, glancing at him faintly, “Are you this shameless?”

Han Shi Yu proudly said, “Xiao Yang wrote it.”

Zhou Yi: “Oh.”

He placed the tea down and said, “I won’t be coming along this Spring Festival holiday.”

Han Shi Yu: “Very busy this year?”

Zhou Yi nodded.

Han Shi Yu: “Okay.”

Their family and Zhou Yi’s going on a trip for Spring Festival every year was a must. They maintained a very close relationship in private.

Zhou Yi said, “Let’s reduce some of our dealings for some time now. The media has been paying a lot of attention to these things lately for no reason.”

Han Shi Yu stared at him, with a sense of desolation.

Zhou Yi felt weirded out from his stare and asked, “…What?”

“Do you know how many hearts you’re breaking with that sentence alone?” Han Shi Yu said painfully.

Zhou Yi: “?”

Zhou Yi could be considered a young talent as well. However, the atmosphere at Yue Xin was too solemn and he wasn’t usually as talkative as Han Shi Yu, so he wasn’t as well-known among the younger generation.

To the point where whenever he got on the hot trends with Han Shi Yu, many people didn’t even know who he is.

However, the good thing was that the visuals of the presidents in ‘this generation’ were excellent. People could engage easily, eliminating the need of young girls searching in the entertainment industry for a good meal. Instead, they could directly feast on these presidents.

With great visuals as the base, coupled with quality Ji Yue content from amazing authors, a brilliant road was opened up for the Ji Yue ship among the sea of CPs in the commercial world. This was a great achievement never seen before in the fan circle.

The author of ‘As if a fish bone was stuck in one’s throat’, Miss Aurora Leaping Towards North — her bio was as followed:

“There are no roads in this world, but when more and more people walk past, it will become a road.”

This message spread widely within the fan circles, moving many hearts.

Midterms had passed and Yang Han could finally pull herself out of her busy schedule. She suddenly remembered that ever since that incident with Hai Ting, she hadn’t seen Yue Kao at school.

After asking around a little, Yang Han found out he had transferred to another school. Apparently, he refused to listen to his father, wouldn’t apologize and insisted on transferring to another school to save face.

It seemed like he had no intention on repenting and no one would know if he would repeat the same crime in the future or whether he would be more restrained after this incident.

Yang Han looked at the math questions and sighed.

Lu Yue Ming heard her sighing and gently asked, “Is there anything you can’t solve?”

After the midterm exams, the teacher switched their seats again and she ended up sitting in front of Lu Yue Ming.

“Say,” Yang Han picked up the exercise book and turned to look at him, pretending she was having a serious discussion with him, “Do people change after growing up?”

Lu Yue Ming blinked a little before smiling, “I think they will.”

He said, “Life experience and growing knowledge will continuously polish a person’s character. Objectively thinking, others can feel the change in you by being with you. While subjectively thinking, when you look back at what happened, you will realize your thoughts then and now are completely different.”

“However, all the people and things around you are also changing. You’re in the middle of it, so relatively speaking, it can also be a constant state of no change.”

Yang Han didn’t expect Lu Yue Ming to answer so seriously. She gave it some thought before asking again, “Then what were you like before? Do you think you’ve changed?”

Lu Yue Ming was a little stunned. He blinked a little before letting out a chuckle, “Of course I did.”

He continued, “In the past…I was quite stubborn.”

Yang Han really couldn’t imagine Lu Yue Ming’s stubborn side. She raised an eyebrow and felt even more curious. Just as she was about to ask further, Lu Yue Ming spoke up instead, “Do you know what Uncle Yang Mo was like before? When he was in university?”

Yang Han looked at Lu Yue Ming with his eyes full of expectation: “……”

Suddenly, Xu Jia knocked on their table. Lu Yue Ming and Yang Han immediately sat up straight, frowning as they began to think about the formulas on their papers. Occasionally, they pointed here and there with their pens too.

The math teacher walked past them, saw the two discussing the last question on the paper, clapped her hands in satisfaction and asked other students to stop talking.

Yang Han silently clutched her exercise book and turned around.,

Xu Jia had already taped the autographed photo on her table, sealed it with several layers of protective films on the surface to protect it while worshipping it reverently.

She said in disbelief, “You guys actually talked about life during discussion time instead of gossiping…I sincerely admire you two.”

Yang Han: “.……”

Yang Han was frowning, still have yet to recover from the question earlier.

She really didn’t know how Yang Mo and Han Shi Yu was like before.
