My World Now

The night is young and I've no clue what just happened. I'm tired from to much reading and now my head hurts. So I head back to the library for a few hours sleep before I move on. I'm up before the sunrise. This place has no more use to me and I don't feel like messing with the wrist band again so I look around and walk to the shimmering clear wall. That is the last thing I want to examine.

I walk over to it and reach out. There is a little resistance as I touch the wall but then my hand passes through. I pull my hand back look at it then step through. I'm falling through the air into the huge crevice. The air rushes past me. The other side is a good 300 feet away. After a few minutes of free falling

I open my wings and catch an updraft souring into the night sky. I fly over the city and I see no activity at this early hour. Some of the roofs are in the process of being added to some of the houses. I see a few houses with flowers in pots by the doorways. All the stone structures look brand new.

I pass over the house of Yotal and see what looks like a food tent that's been shutdown for the night. The burnt bodies have been removed and the part of the house I burnt has signs of being fixed up. The place no longer seems like it's dying there is a feeling of hope in the air.

I turn away from the House of Yotal and head towards the road and onto the next town. I fly on through the night. After awhile my mind turns towards what to do next. I have all the resources anyone person could need. Plenty of money and riches. I even have slaves and loads of magic power. As well as more to train. I even know more about this pathetic world and it's gods then the people who live here. "It's all been to easy, I think, "but no matter.

It's now time for me to have an adventure." As the sunrises I set down on the road and my wings vanish as I continue to walk towards the next village. I walk all day on this road and all I see is forest. As night falls once again I take to the sky.

I follow the road as it wanders through the forest and over rivers and streams. As day breaks I see a structure off in the distance. I set down on the road as the sunrises and change to a Florensin. "If what Iota says is right this should be the village of Azar home of the Florensin."

The structure is farther then it appears. It's mid day before I can see the orange wall in front of me. The closer I get I pass fields and see different creatures taking care of them. The wall is in good repair and the gate reaches at least 10 feet tall.

I walk up to the gate and am surprised that humans are at the gate. "Travel Papers," The man on the right says. I'm about to reach into my Void bag and grab them when I realize I'm in Florensin shape and my papers say human.

I smile looking up at the man and pretend to look for them. After a while I look up at him again and say, "I'm sorry I must have lost them." He looks down at me in disgust and steps aside opening a side door in the entry way saying, "This way, papers will be reissued at a higher price then the first ones don't loss them again." I walk past him smiling I say, "Thank you Sir" As I pass I hear him say, "Stupid creature."

I keep walking as I change my finger to normal pointing my finger in back of me and shortly after I change my finger back and hear him screaming. I get to the end of the hall and open the door. There are ten women at desks. Each one has a spirit plate in front of them. I look around as I wait and see posters. The first one I see says:

Another says:

Do you want to be an adventure come see us at Azar adventure guild to get started. Be the greatest you can be.

Others talk about magic schools, herbalist training, alchemist training, blacksmith school and more. They all have one thing in common, be the greatest you can be.

The women at the desk clears her voice to get my attention. I step up to the desk and say, "I need new travel papers please." The women at the desk touches a crystal on her desk and a crystal lights up the plate. The plate on her desk now read.

Reissue of travel papers - 5 gold

Night stay - 1 gold

Week stay - 3 gold

Month stay - 8 gold

Citizenship - 50 gold

After looking at the options I reach into my bag and pull out 8 gold saying, "1 week stay please." She looks at me and says, "10 gold pieces." I look at her in surprise and reply, "The plate says eight." She sighs and points to a sign that is half hidden by the adventure guild sign and in small letters it says, "All creatures other then humans will be charged an extra two gold for entering the city."

Looking at it and frown as I remove 2 more gold coins from my Void bag. She then says, "Place your hands on the plate." I do as she says and after reading something she says, "species Florensin, age 18, affinity earth - crystal class." She passes me my papers and a small crystal badge saying, wear this badge at all times where it can be seen."

I take the papers thinking, "I've got to find away to fake out that plate. For the future." As I leave she says, "The cave entrance is outside, take the first alley on the left. You will find housing there." I thank her and am on my way. I want to head to the Adventures guild but I figure I should give Iota a chance to look around first so I go to the caves instead.

I head down the trapdoor and on my right is a cave and above it is a sign that says, "Housing" I enter that cave and there is a women sitting behind a desk. I look at her and say, "I'm looking for housing for two. for one week."

She replies, "Temporary housing is in block E - J. I'll assign you. Room 253 block H. If you want to extend your visit you must inform us one day in advance or there will be a surcharge of 5 bronze for each person. Please remember if you want to extend your visit you must also go to the front gate to register before the week pass is up. That is 20 bronze for 2 people for one week."

I pass her the bronze thinking about how much cheaper it is down here. She gives me two cards that say my room number and block letter with a stamp saying how long I'm staying. I take them and she says, "Make sure you and your guest has these at all times. If you are caught without them or an expired one you will be either put in the prison or escorted out of the town if you can pay the surcharge for over staying."

I leave the cave and start looking for my room. It takes a few hours to find my room and there is no door. I pass through and put up a barrier. Then head to my bed and reach into my Space bag.

Inside the Bag

It has been over a week sense I was last in this bag. I see people hard at work on my huge Library building. I walk over to a young women with yellow hair and dark blue skin serving water to the workers and tell her. "I'll be in the town of Azar for at least a few days. If you have any needs make a list, have it ready and in Neens hands in a couple days."

She looks surprised that I'm speaking to her and says, "Yes Master." After that I vanish into the woods and head towards the village. When I exit the woods I head towards the Rayback field. No sooner does the Rayback field come into view then I see Iota playing with his baby Rayback.

I walk up to him and once I get his attention I tell him, "Iota I'm now at the town of Azar and have a room for two do you want to come?" It don't take him long to say, "Yes." He picks up the baby Rayback and follows me into the village. We head into Wizzal's home and through the library. I take the time to remove more book from my Void bag. Neens comes over to starts sorting them. Iota waits patiently then follows me into my room. The barrier goes up and I take his hand and reach into the bag.

Outside the Bag

Iota and I are now standing next to the bed. I reach down and pick up the Space bag as I tell him. "You will need to register with the town office." I pass him the room card and 100 gold coins. Witch is a small fortune. He puts them in his pocket still holding his Rayback. I tell him to follow me. We both head through the tunnels. Florensin have a perfect memory for caves and I have no trouble leading him back to the trapdoor.

Once we are out of the caves I point him to the office and head to find the adventures guild. It don't take me long to find the guild. The building is huge for this world. At least five stories high. It's made of orange wood with a sign above the door that says in big letters:

Azar Adventures Guild

I walk in and there are two desks. One reads "requests" the other says, "Sign up." I walk to the sign up desk and the women looks at me saying, "Help desk is that way." I look at her and say, "No I want to be an adventure." She cheers up, looks at my badge saying, "There are five groups looking for Florensin support group members. As a support group member you will receive 10% of all adventures completed."

I look at her in confusion and say, "No, I don't want to be part of a team I want to registered as a solo adventurer." At that she starts laughing. Once she is done she says, "You have got to be joking everyone knows you can't be an adventure unless you are human. It's Kingdom law. What rock did you crawl out of? Now if you want to be signed up as a support member."

With that she pushes the paperwork across the desk to me. I look at her then down at the paper and turn my back walking out the door. "She is so gonna die soon," I think as I exit the guild hall. looking both ways I head down the street to the left and take the first alley. When I get to the dead end I get out my human and Florensin travel papers. After examining them I see the one week pass doesn't say a race on it.

So I take the human paperwork and put it together with my week pass. Then put it all back in my Void bag. I change to my human form and remove my crystal badge putting that in the Void bag. I will my shirt to turn gray before I leave the Alley and head back towards the Guildhall thinking, "Humans think way to high of themselves in this world." With that I enter the guild hall once agin.
