Mysteries of the Earthsea

Chapter 95: Footprints on the ship

   island.

An island a bit larger than the coral island appeared in front of Charles and others.

Everyone looked at the distant island with solemn expressions. They knew that the most dangerous moment in the voyage would be next.

This island is different from other islands. There is a ring of towering walls erected on the periphery, and the inside is tightly enclosed, making it impossible to see the environment on the island.

The wall is gray and white, and the building material is a bit like cement, without any markings on it. It is difficult to tell whether this thing is a human building.

"Captain! Look, there is a boat over there!"

"No need to remind, I saw it too."

The bright searchlights blared forward. It was a steamship that was a bit bigger than the narwhal. The white triangle sign beside the ship proved the identity of the owner of the ship. Obviously, this is the God of Light. A ship that did not return.

"Weapons are ready, move the ship over." If there are clues on it, it may be possible to avoid the disappearance of fate from appearing on him.

As the distance narrowed, more details appeared in front of Charles. The anchor did not lift out of the water. The ship was parked here by themselves.

There was no mess on the deck. On this ship, the followers of the Illuminati were not physically attacked.

When Charles stepped on the deck and found that a layer of ash had been accumulated on the deck, judging from the time, the ship had been parked here for almost two months.

There is a sense of dilapidation everywhere in the steamboat that has not been taken care of by the sea breeze.

"Go, go to the captain's room first." If you want to know what happened on a ship, it is the fastest to look for it from the captain's voyage diary.

A group of people rushed forward vigilantly into the hatch. The structure inside was similar to that of the Narwhal, and when they entered, it was a narrow corridor.

Deep was about to explore the way first, but was stopped by an iron hand.

   "Captain, how...?"

Charles lowered his voice and slowly squatted down. "Hush, look at the ground."

As everyone's field of vision slowly decreased, a row of six-finger footprints appeared on the dust, clearly presented in front of them.

Not long ago, something came in here.

Charles and others slowed down, stepped on the footprints on the ground, and walked slowly in.

A door was gently pushed open, and the flashlight kept poking inward following the muzzle.

But the cabin was very calm, except for some ordinary things and did not see any living things.

The last door slowly appeared in front of everyone. Charles' ears moved, and his keen sense of hearing felt movement inside.

"Be careful, there is something in it."

Krona swallowed hard, and took out a blue candle.

"Bump!" The door was slammed open, and seven or eight barrels were pointed inward, but then everyone's faces showed disappointed expressions.

This is the kitchen, and the rat that made the movement was the moldy biscuits. When they were so loudly and violently frightened, the rats quickly threw down the biscuits in their hands and ran away.

The environment inside is the same as the outside, except for the ragged food that was eaten by rats, there is nothing unusual.

The crew quickly dispersed and started rummaging for clues. Charles put his chin on his prosthesis thinking about things.

"How can there be no one? If no one, where did the footprints just come from?"

Just as Charles walked past a silver-white kettle and saw the reflection on it, his pupils suddenly shrank and raised his head.

A deformed purple monster like a toad hangs upside down on the ceiling. When it saw Charles discovering himself, it stepped on the ceiling with its strong hind legs, a mouth full of sharp teeth, and covered Charles directly.

At this very moment, Charles lifted his left hand, "rub!" The hook spear with chains was instantly activated, and he directly nailed it back to the ceiling.

He violently pulled his left hand, and the monster slammed to the ground. At this time, other crew members around also reacted. Pull the trigger and shoot at the thing quickly.

When the gunfire stopped, the thing almost turned into a mess.

Charles squatted down and discerned for a while and said: "This thing looks like it's in the sea. It should have come up to find something to eat soon."

Deep exhaled, "I thought it was something. After doing it for a long time, it turned out that it was the footprints of this thing."

Charles looked at the webbed lower limbs of the monster fish and shook his head. "No, it can't make such footprints, those footprints are something else."

As soon as Charles spoke, the relaxed spirit among the crew suddenly became tense.

   "Go, look elsewhere first."

Soon Charles and others checked the ship aside, and found that there was no clue, even the captain's voyage diary was not found.

"Perhaps the believers of the Guangming God Sect don't keep diaries at all. Normal people write diaries." Richard jumped out and said.

Charles ignored him and continued to think about the problem. He always felt that something was missing, but he just couldn't remember it.

Just when one of Lily’s mice ran past him~www.wuxiahere.com~ he suddenly thought of a way.

"Lily, can you find the rats on this boat and ask them what happened on the boat?"

"Yes, you can wait." Following the white mouse's order, the black and brown mice quickly dispersed.

Soon a shivering gray mouse was pushed out by the rat group, and Lily stood beside it and squeaked.

"Mr. Charles, it said that some things got on the boat from time to time to get something and went back to the island."

"What kind of thing, is it a person or something?"

Lily exchanged a few words quickly, and complained with a hint of anger in her tone: "These guys are too stupid, they can't explain it clearly."

Charles didn't want to expect too much from a mouse, but he knew from his words that there were things alive on the island, and he would come to pick up things on the boat every other day.

Reminiscent of the huge wall, a thought flashed in Charles's heart, whether the creature the mouse saw was a pirate of Sodom.

But in the next second, he overturned his guess. If it were pirates, it would be impossible for them to put such a good exploration ship here without doing it. This was not in line with their character.

When Charles recovered from his thoughts, he found that all the crew around him were staring at him.

"Captain, what should I do next?"

He looked towards the huge wall on the island, "Drop anchor, put down the boat, and prepare to go to the island."

No matter what the island is still on, there must be something behind this huge wall.

When everyone was walking under the towering giant wall, they suddenly felt oppressed, as if they were near a sleeping giant. Everyone even spoke a lot less, for fear of waking it up.
