blaze_master100 And I'm back. Miss me? Sorry for not posting here for a bit. I was busy working with my other book to catch it up to the current story. Some spoilers are in that one, so you don't have to read it. Most things will be revealed here as well just in a different way.  Well, enough rambling onto the chapter! Oh, almost forgot I plan to do some editing on the previous chapters over the next few days, because I'm bored and frankly I'm kind of embarrassed how bad it was to actually try to read. So, look forward to that. Now onto the chapter.

(Rina Pov)

(Confused) Why didn't this make any noise?

"It didn't make noise because it was recently repaired."(Ella)

"(Glare) you are definitely reading my mind."(Rina)

"(Eye role) Sure. Let's go with that."(Ella)

"(Gratified) I knew I was right."(Rina)

"(Eye role) (Head shake) Whatever, let's just sit at the table for now and talk."(Ella)

*Step step step*x2

"So, what are we going to talk about?"(Rina)

"I don't know. What do you want to know about?"(Ella)

"Then, why were the door to the whatever room and the gate so loud but this one made no sound?"(Rina)

"First, it's called a throne room. And as to why those were loud and this one not. Is first the gate that's a giant metal door. So, ya going to make some noise when it moves even when enchanted with sound dampening. Which it wasn't. And the throne room is because they haven't fixed it yet."(Ella)

"(Head tilt) Whose they? And why are they fixing stuff?"(Rina)

"They are the new castle staff that was hired. And as to why they are repairing things. That's because the last staff of the castle wasn't doing their job of upkeeping the castle and let it get into such a state where no maintenance was being done on anything. When the castle had funds for its upkeep."(Ella)

"What happened to them?"(Rina)

"They were investigated and almost all of them were executed for treason and embezzlement. Granted the few that were spared were fired for neglecting their duty. I mean geez this is one of the cushiest jobs there is, they get 40 gold a month just to keep the castle in good condition."(Ella) 

"(Confused) S-Slow down. First what does embezzlement even mean?"(Rina)

"Haa, right got to remember I'm talking to a kid. It means they stole money and a lot of it. About 10,000 platinum coins over the span of 20 years."(Ella)

"Can we back up again? I don't know how much money is even worth."(Rina)

"Right forgot. Basically 100 bronze coins is equal to 1 silver coin, 100 silver coins is 1 gold coin, 1,000 gold coins is a platinum coin, and 10,000 platinum is 1 mithril coin. There are higher coins, but you won't see those down here. Also, for reference a king's head is worth like 20 platinum coins down here."(Ella)

"(Stunned) Woah. They stole a lot of money. That could get you at least 10 skewers at the stalls."(Rina)

"Pfft, Ahahahahaha!"(Ella)

"(Head tilt) What's so funny?"(Rina)

"Ahaha.(Wipes tear) It's just the way you put it."(Ella)

"(Confused) (Counts on fingers) Did I get something wrong?"(Rina)

"No, no. You're right. It's just that, that much money can buy a lot more than just 10 skewers. Think bigger."(Ella)

"(Shocked) 100 skewers!?"(Rina)

"Bigger. And also stop talking about skewers. There's more than just skewers that you can buy with money."(Ella)

"(Depressed) But I don't want or need other things. I'm just hungry. Everything else isn't very useful for when you're hungry."(Rina)

"See and this is why I woke you up."(Ella)

"(Pout) It's your fault. You're the one who was talking about food. I would have been fine if you didn't say anything."(Rina)

"Now that's just stupid. You do know you get hungry for a reason, right? You need to eat to live."(Ella)

"(Drupe) I know but, I didn't have time. I didn't want to be alone in the forest forever."(Rina)

"Haa, fine I get it but, just make sure you eat, ok? Now cheer up food should be done soon."(Ella)

"(Perk Up) (Excited) Is the food almost done?!"(Rina)

"Yes, it should be here in a minute or two."(Ella)

*knock knock*

"Speak of the devil. It's here. Come in."(Ella)

"That's a saying here?"(Rina)

"Yes, it me-"(Ella)

"I already know what it means. It means when you talk about something it'll appear. (Exited) Now food."(Rina)

"(Shocked) How did you already know of that expression?"(Ella)

"It was used a lot in my previous life. (Sniff Sniff) (Mouth water) It smell delicious."(Rina)

"(Stunned) Wait one minute! You're a reincarnation!?"(Ella)

*Looks over*

"I've lost her haven't I. She isn't even looking over here anymore. *Sigh*"(Ella)

Foood. Want to eat. 

{Hey Rina snap out of it!} (Snow)

Huh?! Ow, was there really a need to yell in my head.! (Rina)

{Yes, there was. Now pay attention the demon king said something to you.} (Snow)

And what was she saying exactly? (Rina)

{I don't know I was distracted by the f- I mean I wasn't listening.} (Snow)

(Judgingly) Mmhm, sure you weren't. (Sarcastically) You totally weren't about to say the food. (Rina)

{(Embarrassed) Fine, you win. I was distracted by the food. S-so what? We're starving and it smells great.} (Snow)

See. I knew I wasn't the only one. 

*Place pour*

The food smells great! And this whatever smells sweet. Time to eat.

It's delicious! Though it does make me thirsty.

"You gave her what?!"(Ella)

"..."(?)

What are they talking about? And why is everything looking funny? I feel fuz~zy Hehe.

"Hehe El~la you look weird. An why are there fowr of you."(Rina)

"Dammit she's already drunk just from a glass. (Furious) Why would you give a little kid wine!?"(Ella)

I~s that what it wa~s? Hehe it makes me feel fun~ny. But I like it.

*Ding*

And she's out again. Who would have thought such a small innocent kid was a reincarnation. I wonder who she was before? 

Let's save that for later. For now, I have to deal with the problem in front of me.

"(Mad) Now tell me. Why did you think it was smart to give a kid wine?"(Ella)

"(Scared) I-I didn't know. W-we were never told about a ch-child, a-and we don't have anything other than wine. S-So I was told to bring the wine."(Maid 1)

"Haa, I guess I forgot to mention it. Fine, you can go. Tell the kitchen staff to make some juice for kids and if this happens again, they're all going to be fired."(Ella)

"Y-Yes. I-I'll inform them right away. *Bow stepstepstep click* *Open step step close*"(Maid 1)

"*Sigh* This is exhausting. I miss Storm. She was always good at these types of things."(Ella)

*Gets up*

Welp let's take her back. She's going to be out for a while after this.

*Swish swish*

Hmhm I wonder what she's dreaming about for her tail to keep wagging even in her sleep.

(Meanwhile in Rina's dream)

"Snow are you seeing this!?"(Rina)

{I am.} (Snow)
