Mystical Academy: The Mystery of the World

48 Appearance of Goddess of Aēr

I murmur again and again talking to myself. Well, if that's what makes me comfortable and to lessen my confused mind. I have to leave Adhiti again from my brother's cabin. She said that there's okay, no problem of leaving her for a while. My brother explained to me that okay is an expression of indicating agreement on the Outsideworld. I let my servant's took my horse back to the stables and I removed my cloak giving it to one of the palace servants.

I glance around the warriors of my father. He's sitting on his throne with my mother. Since she's the Queen for long years. The third wife of the King of Era. She's always there to assist the king and do her duty as a Queen. And now, they are dealing for another bastard of the King.

"Tonight, took my daughter from the Outsideworld and bring her to me. Make sure that she's not bruised or has any cut. We need her face for bidding."

Marissa! She's in danger. I did not make any emotions about that or throw a question to my father about my half-sister on the Outsideworld. My mother smiles at me, though I know that those smiles are not kind. She wasn't a perfect mother or even a good one. I know that for sure.

"Father," I bow at them. "Mother."

"Oh, sweet Almira. Have you already seen your gown?" my mother asked acting so sweet and a good mother.

"Not yet, but I'll see it tonight. Shall I go back to my room to write a letter to Princess Flavia? I believe she has suggestion to my gown for the ball."

They smiled at me sweetly.

"Yes, go ahead, my dear." My father told and I bow at them gracefully. I walk gracefully back to my chamber so that I won't look something had a plan.

I immediately took a piece of small paper from my desk and wrote words for my brother that is with Princess Amanda. They are taking Marissa in Insideworld. I call my dove and she perch on the window. I tied it on her foot with a green ribbon. I took her to my hands and kissed the head.

"Go to my brother, she's with Princess Amanda." I whisper and I let her fly.

I took my horse again and went back to my brother's cabin. I jumped off from my horse and patted her as I enter the cabin. It is unusual because I don't hear her humming or singing.

"Adhiti?" I enter the cabin and I can't see her on chair reading. I look at the book on the table. The Origin of the Goddess. She's reading it? "Adhiti?" I calls and walk directly to the bed. I found the clothes that she was wearing but her cloak is gone and I run back to where my brother put shoes and boots for travel and it is also gone.

There's one thing I need before dusk. I need to warn them. I need to warn Marissa. I went back to my brother's cabin and use the tunnel cave of earth to the entrance to the outside world. I went to Marissa's lover's house, perhaps Adhiti's house too. They are all inside and there's a man who just got out from the thing that they called cars. I look up on the window to see her lover.

I breathed in and circle my hand to make a green bird. I breathed out and whispers on the bird to warn them. They are coming. I sent it to the man and he had seen me too. I got startled and my chest started beating like a drum… loud. I saw him, the man who always run into me. He's directly looking at me. I immediately run and run and run while he's fast running after me.

"Why are you here!?" he asked me. I stop and he stop too. I block a big log between us for him not to reach me. "Why are you spying on us?!" he asked again.

"I am no spy. You have to leave, they are coming." I murmur. I gasped when the air whispers to me that they are near. "Leave!" I hissed at him and immediately run back to portal.

I hold my chest in front of my heart and breathlessly walk back inside the cabin praying that Adhiti is home. But no one was there. I grabbed the goblet and serve myself a fresh water. I closed my eyes calming my mind and myself from the terror. I feel tired. Really tired. I need to write to my brother about Adhiti. Or perhaps I should stay here for a while and wait for her.

Marissa comes into my mind. I hope that she's with Patrick and she's not captured by my father's warriors. My father is getting worse, I don't know what's wrong with him after all. I am relief that I didn't have his craziness. I am relief that I was raise by my brother well and Princess Amanda was always there to guide me.

I was about to put another fresh water on my goblet when it slipped off from my hand. My heart palpitates and I know that my intuition is right. They have her already. I lost track of my time and I immediately run outside to my horse and told her to run fast to the castle. I saw few wounded warriors and some are dead. No, I hope that I am wrong.

I enter the foyer of the castle towards the hall where our thrones are. I saw a girl in a flowery dress being dragged and she was pushed in front of my father and mother and she falls down on the cold floor. She's weeping silently that makes my heart breaks. I can feel her agony and her pain, inside my chest. Why? I don't know why I feel this way but I feel empathy towards her. People said that I am compassionate. Maybe because I am too compassionate, that's why I can feel what she is feeling.

My brothers and my sisters are gathered.

"Welcome, my daughter." My father greet her with wide arms.

"You are just a sperm donor of my mother after you violate her viciously. You are not my father." She said it in strong voice. Marissa is strong, but that will lead her to pain.

"Whatever you say and deny, I am your father." He scoop her chin and I can see that he's gritting his teeth in anger. I immediately walk towards them. "So from now on, you have to do what I wanted. Don't worry, I will crown you as a Princess, as my daughter and you'll be delighted." My stomach clenched again and my father's own words send chills on my veins.

"I rather live poor than being in this hell with you." She gritted back. My father slapped his palm across her cheek hard that makes a real sound. Hearing it, and seeing it, I can feel the pang of the pain.

"Father, what's going on here?" I interrupted. My father looked at me and his tight jaw untightens and his face immediately turn lightens.

"My dear daughter, meet your sister, Marissa." I glanced at Marissa and I can see blood on her lips and her cheek is red.

"Father," I hold my tears but I face him with sad eyes. He knows that I hate violations. "She look tired, would it be alright for you if I bring her to her chamber? You know that I dislike seeing these things."

My father's face soften. Though I know from my sister's eyes that I should take it all.

"Of course dear, show your sister to her room. Servants, treat her like a Princess!" he said it loud and sit back to her throne. I glanced at my brother's eyes and my sister's eyes. They show no mercy at all but two of them show no emotion. I looked at Marissa who is weeping. I pull a silk handkerchief from my pocket dress and took her arm. She even tried to get off from me but I dragged her arm and gave her the handkerchief.

"Weeping won't help you." I murmur at her that she can only hear. She looked at me into my eyes as we walk. "Believe me."

Two servant's followed us, where I believe that their new assignment is serving Marissa. We walk upstairs and I hold her steadily because I can still feel that she's shaking.

"Princess Almira, yo-your dress. Where did get these muds and dirt?" my servant asked.

"Don't mind me Marga, bring us food to my sister's chamber." Marga looked at Marissa with a disgust and I hate it. "Now." I have to tell her that sometimes. I know that they disgust my half-sister because she's a daughter of a human after my father raped her mother.

"Y-yes, your highness."

As we reach her chamber that is just few blocks away from my room, I told her new servants to ready her bath and her sleeping gown. I gently pushed her to sit and give her a glass of water. She avoid looking at me. I glance on the busy servants preparing her bath and I kneel in front of her and took her hand.

"Look at me." I murmur. She did look at me. "For now, Nick can't protect you. He's with Princess Amanda. But please, you have to trust me."

"Why would I trust you?" I keep quiet. Perhaps, I should tell her when the servants are no longer here. "You people hates us!" she hissed at me. I squeeze her hand and stood.

"I know, but I am different. Drink this, you have to calm yourself." She did took it and she wince and hold her stomach like she's in a little pain. "Are you…" I did not finished it when I know the answer. Headache! Marissa is pregnant and it is not good here. "Alright… I think you know what you shouldn't do for your sake." I am speaking about the baby inside her. "I will assist you and your servants. Just tell them what you wanted."

I took the handkerchief from her hand and wipe the blood on her temple. She got a little scratch there and she winced. But tears started falling from her eyes. I feel sad for her. I don't know what happened back there.

I told the servant to build a fire on the chimney and then I insister her to go with me on the bathroom. I close the wooden door to make sure that no one will eavesdrop on us. The aromatic smell of roses and vanilla hit my nose.

"Why are you acting kind to me?" she asked me. "Why should I trust you?"

I move closer to her and took her hand that she immediately pulls. I look into her eyes for her to trust me.

"I—I keep watching you… No one knows that I have been going Outsideworld except Nick. A while ago, I witness that my father is going to take you and to kill them. I went there, outside the house of your lover to warn him that they are coming. I just wished that you had escaped, but, these happens."

"Y-you were always there?" she asked confused. "And why should I trust you?"

"The reason that my brother Nick trusted me to Adhiti."

"A-Adhiti? Where is she?" she took my hand squeezing it.

"She was just on the cabin, but when I got there she's gone. I don't know where she goes. She took one of my brother's horses and the squirrel told me that she left with bags."

Marissa almost fall from the floor but I hold her.

"You okay?" she nods at me. "You need to clean up. You also need to eat to be strong."

"C-can I asked for a favor?" she asked me. I nod at her.

"But I cannot promise anything."

"Can you peek back to the house and seek for my Patrick. He was beaten," her voice broke and sobbed and hold her face. "I—I don't know if he's alive. I cannot live without him…" I took her hand and squeeze it again.

"I will. I will send one of my birds for him. But you have to promise me to be strong." I put my palm on her stomach. "This is a gift from our Almighty God, you have to treasure and take care of it." She nods at me. I embraced her and I can feel that she's relieved. God, please help her overcome this. Goddess of Earth, please strengthen her and protect her when I am not around.

I got out from her bathroom just in time when the servants serve the food. I walk to the window looking up the moon. Adhiti, wherever you are, I hope you are safe. How could you leave the cabin? What's going on with you? I breathed in the cold night.

"Princess Almira," Marga speak behind me. "Shall I prepare your bath?"

"Please, and the rest of Marissa's servant's you are now dismissed."

They all leave the room. I breathed again and call for my owl. I feed him with an apple and gently stroke his wings.

I, your friend, requesting for a favor

As an apprentice of Goddess of Earth

To help those in dark from their grief

Leave the insideworld to outsideworld

Seek for Patrick Patterson

My sister's soul-mate

And confirm his condition

Fly my beloved friend, fly.

I sat on the chair closing my eyes and prayed silently to our Almighty Father. Asking for strength to protect those people who are innocent. Human or not human. Footsteps coming closer and I look up at Marissa who is dressed in a silk sleeping gown with robe.

"Please have a seat." I gesture on the chair and she did. "I feel exhausted and hungry as you are. Please eat." I pick the green apple and have a bite. I look at Marissa who is staring quizzically on the window that has an apple. "Oh, I feed it on my friend. I ask her to seek for your love." I smiled at her warmly. Her face lightens and her eyes twinkles. I gently put my palm on her face and heal her wounds and a bruise on her face that my father give. There's a knock on the door and it opens.

Marga my handmaiden enters and bow gracefully at us. "Your highness, your bath is waiting for you."

"Thank you Marga, you are now dismissed." She bows again and leave. I finished eating my apple and I see that she has no appetite. Who would have an appetite to eat after what happened. "I will tell the servants to always leave a drink and fruits in here. Right now, I have to take a bath and find out where my brother's mate goes."

"Does she always leave?"

"N-no." I shook my head. "It is the first that she left the cabin without me or without my brother. My brother told me that she's acting bizarre after I brought her to the town."

"H-how bizarre?"

"Like she has more than one personality inside her body."

Marissa took her hand on her mouth with gasped. She leans back on the chair and sipped a glass of water on the goblet.

"I don't understand. I know that she can act like somebody else… but…"

"We have to wait two days for my brother's arrival. I am sure that it will be a headache…" I hold my temple. "And it will be a big fight between father and Nick."

"N-Nick can fight your father?"

"Yes. He can. That's why he left this castle and have his own cabin away."

"C-Can you bring me there instead?"

"I'm sorry, Marissa. But when it's you, it is different. Please, for you not to get hurt by my father, don't talk back to him."

"He's not my father."

"He is your father, but I can't blame you of hating him."

"How about your brothers and sisters? Are they like you?"

"No. That is impossible." I chuckled on the idea and it disgust me.

"I should avoid them too."

"Yes, you can."

"And your mother?" I drink the wine on the goblet before answer her. About, mother? I don't know to say it.

"She can be kind in your eyes."

"But she's not." She blurted. Yes, she's right. I nod at her. "I miss my mom…"

"How does your mother like?"

"She's caring, kind, lovable… she's everything a mother you wanted to be. Also, my Patrick's mom. She's lovable… she loved me like her daughter. I wish to see Adhiti…"

"But even I, don't know where she is. I will visit again the cabin tomorrow morning."

I stood and patter her shoulder.

"You have to rest now. You have to."

"I don't know why he even took me here."

"We will know for sure. Good night Marissa." I left her room and went to mine to have a long bath.

As soon as I enter my room, I removed my dress and let it on the floor with my under garnets as I walk directly to bathroom. The bathtub is waiting for me and it was warm. I sit there and leans my head on wall as I take a sipped on my red wine.

I don't know how to deal with these things tomorrow. I am exhausted. The festival is three weeks ago. I don't know what my father's bidding is. I cannot let him abuse Marissa. Nick cannot let it happen too. I don't know where Adhiti is. I closed my eyes and let the pain on my head torture me.

Goddess of Aer

When she woke up in the body of her sister, all she thought is vengeance. She shouldn't felt vengeance, but the pain on her chest and the painful memories that she take makes her soul almost shatter. Her father took her back to their Kingdom on the above world. She felt free and happy and loved… but still one missing. The love of her soul mate. She promised to come back to him.

She removed the dress that she's wearing and pick a different dress. A dress that has a color of the sky and a protective cover on her legs. She face the mirror. She's not used on this face, but still it is an exceptional beauty. The beauty of her face that makes man fall in love. But how her soul mate would know that it is her, Aryanna, is willing to come back to her love's embrace.

But now, the land where she born in this world is all she thought.

"Thy beauty of thou is our beauty." She told herself on the reflection and a white-blue mark burns on her temple. It is like a twister. The mark of the wind. "We choose love, yet we are hurting. Adhiti, Goddess of Universe, are you going to choose him over peace?" the person that she's talking is absent.

She immediately pack few food for her travel. She found a pouch of silver coins. She thought that it would be enough for her travel. She took the cloak and the boots that fits on her. She walk outside the cabin and went to the stable where the horses are. Her eyes darted on the white and black spotted mare. She gently stroke the mare's nuzzle and close her eyes.
