I travel the next few days, unsure of my destination. As I'm walking, I think about where I'm going to go.

'Maybe I should try to join the Akatsuki? Nah.... they're too hardcore anyway.'

Thinking across those lines, my train of though leads me on. And my walking leads me to a whole other ordeal, a village full of farmers. As I'm walking through the town, I hear a man yelling.

"Aye boy!! Come back here!"

I witness a small child, no older than 13 completely outwit an a.d.u.l.t of a stature no more than 6'3. The child, not named as of yet, seems to have stolen a money bag from the older gentleman.

'Hah. Boy seems crafty. I like him.'

The boy flips over a hand railing, which the farmer runs into, and I catch the kid. The boy struggles.

"Let me go! Let me go you big headed monkey!"

I laugh, startled by the boys brazenness.

"Calm down kid, I'm tryna help ya."

I whisper to the child.

The kid looks up at me, startled.

The farmer finally gets to me.

"Hey you!! Is that kid yours?!"

I look at the boy, who's face is filled with defiance.

I nod.

"Yeah, this is my nephew. Why?"

The man looks as if he's about to bust an artery.

"That demon!! He stole my coin purse!"

I laugh.

"Well alright, here ya go. Now leave the boy alone, I'll deal with him from now."

The man nods.

"Humph!! That'll show you boy, I hope he breaks a vine on your back!"

I carry the child away, outside of the village.

"Hey! Let me go! Why'd you make me give it back!! He deserved it!"

I laugh at the boy.

"I made you give it back because you got caught kid. If you hadn't, I wouldn't have found you."

The boy grumbles.

"Why do you even care anyway..."

I look to him.

"I'm not sure, why did you steal?"

The boy turns away.

"Because I'm hungry, I haven't eaten in forever."

I smile. I pull a food pill and water pill out of my temporary storage seal.

"Here kid, eat these."

I boy looks at the pills warily.

"What are those?"

I roll my eyes.

"These are food and water pills, Shinobi eat them."

The boy, addled by hunger, reluctantly accepts my offer. He downs the pills and a look of refreshment and satisfaction crosses his face

"What do you want Mr?"

I laugh at the boy.

"Nothing I suppose, just wanted to help you out."

The boy looks to me cautiously.

"You? You wanted to help a random stranger out?"

'The boy is cautious. That's a good trait to have in this world.'

"Well yeah, I have nothing better to do. Come on kid, why don't you walk with me? We can talk."

The young man reluctantly agrees. Soon I learn that the boy is an orphan, who grew up in a village quite a ways away. His wish is to become a strong Shinobi.

"I can help you with that kid."

The boy looks me up and down.

"What do you mean?"

I look at him sternly.

"I can train you. I'm quite the Shinobi myself."

The boy scoffs, disbelievingly.

"Sure, and I'm the Raikage."

I smirk.

"Shadow clone jutsu!"

*Poof*x20

Twenty shadow clones pop up in front of me. The boy looks on, wide eyed.

"W-Wow! You really are a Shinobi!"

I laugh.

"Indeed I am kid. Wanna learn from me?"

The boy shyly nods.

"B-but why?"

I warmly smile. I look to the boy and rub his head. I kneel down, and look into his eyes. The boy looks expectant.

"I don't know."

The boy shakes his head.

"What??"

I rub the back of my head sheepishly.

"I really don't know, I have nothing else to do. So why not?"

The boy smiles.

"Well, it's better than no reason at all, so yes! I take your offer Mr?"

I smile.

"Call me Hikaru kid."

The adolescent boy nods.

"Mr. Hikaru then."

The year goes by quickly. Summer turns to fall, fall to winter, winter to spring, and spring back to summer.

I've grown quite a bit in this year. Without my henge, I'm the size of a 6 year old. For what reason, I don't know. However, I've managed to keep my henge a secret this year. The boy however, has experienced a much needed growth spurt. The young man who I grew to know as Tenee, went from a solid 5'5 to 6'0 in about a year. He's also grown in strength. The boy went from a barely chakra active citizen, to around Genin levels of strength. He's learned quite a bit in this year. He's even created some of his own jutsu.

I'm sitting inside our home. A couple weeks after i first started training him, we built a cottage. It was nothing special, small and resourceful. The beds were made of animal furs I had Tenee hunt to refine his chakra control. We had practically lived off of the food and water pills, barring the game I had Tenee bring home. My life had been peaceful, and Tenee had come to accept my random disappearances, which was actually my own training. I always left a shadow clone behind, so he grew to be fine with it. But today, today was the day I was going to leave. I had told Tenee that it was coming soon, and he's been expecting it. As I'm waiting for him to walk through the door to break the news, I hear banging coming from outside. I walk out.

I look around to see a strange contraption. I see Tenee standing right beside it.

"Hey Hikaru! How do you like it?!"

I give a small smile.

"I'd like it a lot better if I knew what it did."

The boy rubs the back of his head sheepishly.

"It's something that's supposed to help hone your reflexes, walk on up and I'll start it."

I raise my eyebrow, unsure of the safety of the mechanism. I walk up to it and stand in place.

The boy gets on the opposite end of me and sits in the especially made chair, and starts moving the stuff on the inside of it.

"Now Hikaru, don't hit anything, just dodge."

I smile.

"Okay kid."

All of a sudden, a dulled wooden spike comes out of the contraption and is aimed at my left arm. I quickly move out of the way. When the strike misses, the spike is s.u.c.k.e.d back into the machine. I step back.

"Impressive Tenne..."

The boy pops up in front of me.

"Yeah!?"

The past year, I've had to get used to Tenee's inventions. The boy is practically a genius with his hands. Anything that he can touch, he can fix, or make better.

"Yeah kid. Hey though, I have to talk to you. You should come inside real quick."

The boy looks at me unsurely.

"Okay?"

He walks behind me and we enter the cottage. We sit down before I break the news.

"Okay boy, the time has come. I'm leaving today."

A sullen look then crosses the boys face.

"I knew it was coming soon. Are you really leaving?"

I nod.

"Yeah kid, I've finally figured out my purpose."

The boy nods.

"And what would that be?"

I smile, and a look of determination and unshakeable will crosses my eyes.

"I'm going to make the world a better place.... I'm going to create a group, a group dedicated to doing just that. I've even thought of a name. The Umarekawari...."

The boy, long acquainted with my power smiles.

"If anyone can do it, It's you Hikaru"

I nod.

"Yeah! And you know who the first member is?"

The boy looks to me.

"Who? Me?!"

I smile, happy at his confusion.

"Yes you. But only if you agree."

The boy flabbergasted, overcome with gratitude and pride.

"O-Of course Hikaru! I'd love to join!!"

"Good, I'm leaving right away boy, and don't worry, I'm leaving behind a shadow clone, so you won't get lonely."

A look of sadness crosses the boys face.

"Alright. I knew it was coming, but at least I'll still have part of you here Hikaru. Before you leave though, I want to let you know, you're like the big brother I never had. So I thank you. Very very much."

I smile, genuinely touched by his words, I even feel my eyes begin to tear up.

'Stop crying, you're being a lil bitch Hikaru!'

"Thank you Tenee. That means a lot, and know, I'll miss you too kid."

We say our goodbyes, and I make the shadow clone.

"One last goodbye kid, come here, give me a hug."

The boy runs to me, faster than I expected, and buries his head in my c.h.e.s.t.

"I'll miss you Hikaru!!"

I hug the boy back, a loving look crossing my face. The boy eventually let's go.

"I'll miss you too kid. Goodbye for now."

The boy waves to me.

"Goodbye Hikaru."

All the while the shadow clone is sitting there, wondering why he gets no love.

I soon arrive back onto the main road.

"Where to go to next. I think Kiri sounds good. Plus I need a sword, don't I?"
