It only took Ren three days and now he was in the land of demons. Over the three days, Ren had begun to make some techniques based on using star and dark chakra. Even though Ren didn't like depending on weapons since he made the weapon out of his own power he felt it was fine. Ren also made his own technique for forming dark chakra, which was called the darkness bat method. The difference between the two chakras was that dark chakra was a lot more difficult to control but it was more powerful. During this time Ren made two forms for just using dark chakra.

The first form was using dark chakra to form a black armor around him that could help him hide in shadows and also made all of his physical attacks slightly corrosive. The second form that Ren made was making arms out of dark chakra that could grab enemies and when it made contact with them it would corrupt their chakra. Ren also practiced forming weapons with his star chakra. During these three days, the star chakra also spread more in the crimson world, and now the chakra levels in the air were almost at the level in the real world.

The reason Ren decided to come to the land of demons was that he wanted to first try to learn how their special hand signs work and maybe make his own hand signs. The second reason that Ren decided to come to the land of demons was that he wanted to try to fight some demons and also wanted to find Yomi who had Mōryō's soul in his body. Since Ren was now in the land of demons he used transformation jutsu to make himself seem like a giant bat that had a dark purple body. Ren decided to pretend to be a demon because he thought some ninja would probably fight them then.

After traveling around the land of demons for about an hour Ren still hadn't seen any demons and wondered if Shion had sealed the majority of the demons or they were just hiding away. Then as Ren was wondering if anything actually lived in the land of demons he saw a group of people wearing a green vest with gray armor over top and wearing a tall hat.

'That must be one of the shrine guards in the land of demons.' - Ren

Once Ren spotted the shrine guards they also saw him because his body was currently that of a giant demon bat. When they saw him they instantly got scared but since they were guards they had been in many fights and begun to attack him. The fight started off with three people pulling out a bow and started shooting arrows infused with chakra at him. When the arrows were almost near Ren he used his dark chakra to make armor around him, this armor was not noticed by the shrine guards and so when they saw the arrows have no effect they instantly thought that they wouldn't be able to win this fight.

Then after the shrine guard said this Ren used his dark chakra to make arms go out and grab the guards, since the arms were as fast as Ren the guards couldn't dodge it and now they were all grabbed. Now that Ren had the dark chakra arms on the guards he began to absorb their chakra and also corrupt their chakra. The guards also didn't have enough strength to break free from the arms, so they just slowly began losing their strength. Since the guards didn't have very high chakra levels it only took around three minutes to absorb all their chakra and now he began absorbing their stamina. After absorbing for five more minutes the guards no longer had any chakra and now they had no more spiritual and physical energy.

After the guards lost their spiritual and physical energy they had died in a matter of seconds afterward, so Ren used the dark chakra arms to pick up the guards and then ate their whole bodies and turned the bodies into points. Since Ren absorbed six shrine guards in total he got 27,000 from them because they were only genin level. After this fight, Ren had almost completely run out of dark chakra but his regular chakra was temporarily overloaded from absorbing all the guards' chakra. Now that his chakra was overloaded he made 25 blood clones of the transformed him.

Now that Ren had 25 blood clones he made them all go out and search for nearby signs of humans or demons. While the blood clones were going out to search, Ren bought the method for rank 3 of the vampire path and this cost him 100,000 points. When Ren bought the method he noticed that this time around it needed more requirements than just having high enough stats. The first requirement was that his vampire blood percentage needed to be at least 70%. The second requirement was that he needed to condense the blood in his body to be 10 times heavier. The last requirement was that Ren needed to get a drop of Kage level blood and infuse it with his blood.

Since Ren already had Kage level blood from when he absorbed a few drops when Orochimaru attacked the Third Hokage, he decided that right now he would first get his vampire blood percentage to 70% and then begin condensing his blood. Since Ren already had the blood refining method he didn't need to do anything very complicated to increase his blood purity, so what he did was just see if his blood clones found any abandoned caves. Instead of just getting rid of the blood clones Ren made the blood clones come back and report what they found. When the blood clones came back Ren found out that they had found a total of three abandoned caves.

After Ren was told that he told the blood clones to continue searching his surroundings and then he moved to the closest abandoned cave. Once Ren was at the cave he used the blood refining method for a whole day and then checked how much blood purity he had. Ren noticed that even though he used the blood refining method for a whole day his blood purity only increased by 5%. Since it increased by such a little amount Ren decided to ask All Existence how long it would take him to get to 70% blood purity with his current method. All Existence told him that it would take him 20 days to get to 70% blood purity and this information cost 1,000 points.

Now that Ren knew it would take 20 days to get to 70% blood purity he decided that he needed to get a new method to increase his blood purity.
