Now that Ren had finished showing his proficiency with all three techniques the Elder demon bat told him that he had shown enough proficiency with the techniques and now passed the second test. Once the Elder demon bat told him that he passed the second test he said that the third test would now begin without any rest period because with the third test he would be given a lot more time. Then the Elder demon bat said what the third test was going to be.

"The third test will be you have to go to the lair of the demon owl, and if you defeat the chief demon owl I will teach you all of the ways of the demon bats. During this test, you will be given one week to be able to defeat the chief demon owl. The demon owl lair is located 10km southeast from here. Also, the demon owl lair is hidden in a barrier just like ours, and you must find your own way into their lair." - Elder demon bat

Then the Elder demon bat made a crudely made map on the ground that was carved with sound waves. Since Ren had a map from All Existence he made a marking on the map where the demon owl lair was. Now that Ren got all the information needed from the Elder demon bat he began to run to the lair. As Ren was thinking about how he was going to do this he decided that right now he would either just teleport past the barrier and then ambush the chief demon owl or he would transform into a demon owl and then would see if he would be let in.

Ren decided that the first method was definitely better because if he transformed into a demon owl he might not even be let in and then he would probably have to fight the whole demon owl clan. After one hour Ren was now very close to the lair of the demon owls and so he decided that he would wait until his chakra and body were back to peak condition. Then he would go kill some people to get extra points so that he could increase his battle power or use them as a back-up in case something goes wrong. Once Ren's chakra and body were completely healed Ren activated his dojutsu so that he could sense anything with chakra nearby.

Since Ren's dojutsu gave him a great sensing ability almost able to rival the byakugan, he was able to find many people and animals around him that had chakra. Ren decided to ambush some animals because animals normally weighted more than humans so he would get more points from them, but the soul-devouring path wouldn't allow him to absorb their souls. Ren went towards five chakras that felt more savage than human chakra so he knew they were animals. After five minutes Ren was now on top of a tree branch in dark chakra armor and there were five bears in front of him.

Since Ren was able to sense that the bears only had genin level chakra he knew that he wouldn't need to ambush them because his speed would probably be a lot faster than their speed. Ren decided that he would try testing how powerful the outer vibration jutsu against these bears because he didn't get to do that against the Elder demon bat. Then Ren ran right at the bears and activated his outer vibration jutsu then he sent the vibration towards all the bears. Once the bears were hit by the vibrations they instantly went inside their body and the inner body of the bears were destroyed so they couldn't fight back.

After a few seconds, the bears died, so Ren began to eat the bears and turn them into points. Once Ren finished eating all of the bears he now had 25,000 points and had a total of 44,870 points. Even though Ren now had 44,870 points he decided that he should get more points before he goes to ambush the chief demon owl just. * One-hour time-skip* Over this past hour Ren was able to 151,930 points, but Ren still wanted to get rank three of the vampire before he attacked the chief demon owl.

Then Ren found an abandoned cave and began to use the blood condensing method. After one and a half days of using the blood condensing method, Ren noticed that he could no longer condense his blood, so he decided to ask All Existence how much heavier his blood was compared to a normal person's blood.

The next thing Ren wondered is if the drop of Kage level blood that he had to infuse with his blood for rank three would have the same effects or if the effects changed depending on the Kage level being, so he asked All Existence.

Since Ren now knew this he decided that he would just infuse the drop of the Third Hokage's blood that he had. Before Ren infused the drop of blood he broke it into many pieces because he didn't know how difficult it would be to infuse the blood. Ren split the blood into six different pieces and then began to infuse the first part. Once Ren began to infuse the blood he felt that the blood was not mixing with his blood and so he used his blood to continually attack the drop of blood.

After a few seconds, the blood was now infused with Ren's bloodstream, so he began to do this with the other parts of the blood. After one minute Ren now infused the whole drop of the Third Hokage's blood. Once Ren infused the final part he felt that some of the strongest drops of blood in his body all went together and if Ren saw inside his blood he would see that there was now a golden drop of blood in his body.

Then Ren looked at his stats and saw that he was now at the third rank of the vampire path.
