New Beginning: Road To Conquest

Life goes on for Eliah. His days at work place continue as per usual. At morning, he will assist his colleagues to open the shop, having lunch together with his colleagues and back to his room to rest once his shift end.

At night, he will be jog around the neighbourhood and sometime will goes further to a nearby lake which a famous spot for people to relax. The government installed several lamp post around the lake which sufficient to cover all around the lake and make it conducive for people to jog around the lake. Also there is track around the lake for people to have their exercise.

Since he is very poor, he unable to confirm his running time as he did not have any equipment that can record his time. However, he expected that his speed is quite good since he can see that he normally spends around 50 minutes for 10km and should be enough to score good time. Since he knows that he can upgrade his stat one more time before the race, he only aims to be the winner on the tournament to ease his financial burden.

Eliah is working and busy to entertain one newlywed couple to buy some furniture for their house. They had spent more than one hour in the shop looking for their required furniture. From their conversations, Eliah deduced that the couple just move out from the rented home to their new bought house.

They just receive the house key from the developer few days ago now decides to do sum spending to decorate their house.

Since the couple is lack of experience for this kind of purchase, they become hesitant when they need to decide which furniture to buy since there will be a lot of things that they need to spend besides buying the furniture.

From the initial planning, the couple only intended to survey only on multiple, but due to some unfortunate event, their time are limited decided to buy all the required furniture from this shop only. Eliah assist to explain all the product available to them carefully. On the top of that, he also provides some suggestions to the couple on what item that was good for them based on the purchase done by other customer. Eliah are trying to provide the best suggestions to since he sincerely want the couple to be fully satisfied and not regretting their purchase

'We need to sell the best item to base on customer situations, not the most expensive' Eliah remember that almost every day the owner will remind his staff.

Because of this, there is quite high number of customer is actually repeated customer and majority of the new customer come due to their friend recommendations.

From Eliah point of view, this is a good and ethical practice. Since this shop managed to survived for a very long time, this indicate that the owner style of doing business is acceptable by the community.

"Many thanks for the purchase sir/ma'am. We will send all of this to your house tomorrow afternoon." Finally the couple had complete their purchase and Eliah guide them to the person that will assist them with the payment.

Eliah turn back to his favourite spot in the shop and suddenly a stranger approach Eliah from the back.

"Hi Eliah, long time no see. Are you working here? What happen to you?" the man asks with concern face.

Eliah startled and look back. He identified the person as one of his colleagues from his previous working place.

"Hi Ed, well I am working here now. Let just say I encounter some setback in my life and now I am here. How about you? Did you guys miss me?" Eliah try to joke around to ease his awkward feeling.

To be honest, Eliah try to avoid contacting his old friend as he feels quite embarrassed with his situations.

"We all good Eliah. You lost contact with us after you resign from the company. Did you know that your beloved girlfriend, Elijah missing you"?

Eliah know that all his colleague from his previous office love to joke him and the girl since their name is quite similar. Even though the girl is quite pretty in his eyes, no special feeling arose between them. In fact, the girl is already in a relationship with a guy for quite some time and expected to tie the knot.

"Hahaha.. You are really funny. No wonder they call you big head and big mouth" Eliah replied sarcastically. Ed nickname is big head due to some funny event happen in the office which causes the nickname stay with him even though his head is not actually big.

"I know you are jealous of me because I am more handsome than you." Ed is a person that really good to associate and able to read the mood. He knows that there will be some sad stories around Eliah which he wants to keep secret, hence he jokes around to ease the mood.

"To be honest I just come here because Raz tell me that he spotted some one that looks like you in this shop while he passes by. He unable to confirm if it's you since he was in a car and the car driver is in hurry." Ed continue to spoke again.

"Oh. Okay. But your office is very far from here. Are you not working today"? Eliah asked.

"Yup I am taking 2 weeks leave and today is my first day of leave. Tomorrow, I will be travel to South Korea to spend my holiday. You know that my wife is a hardcore fan of K-Pop"

"I thought you are the king of the house. Just one word from you, your wife will tremble in fear and follow you whatever you command." Eliah asked since Ed are always brag around that he is a real man in the house and his wife is in his control. Even though everyone know that the real situations is vice versa. You know the typical chat between guys especially married guys.

"Well. I also want to go to Korea. A lot of beauties there based on their TV program" Ed try give some excuse. "Or else why did you think I am agree to go"

"I believe you man. The king in the house and the office big head ." Eliah rolled his eyes.

Suddenly Ed phone is ringing. Eliah glance and he can see the name appear as 'wife' in Ed phone.

Ed move away a little bit to answer his phone and Eliah know that he will need some privacy. Hence he pretends to do some light work to tidy up the furniture nearby.

"Sorry Eliah. My wife is waiting for me. Dun worry I will 'smack' to 'discipline' her for disturb our chat" Ed is Ed, always bragging even though Eliah know he is actually being scold by his wife in the phone just now.

"Okay I know you will. I do not have phone now. So if you want to see me, just come here since my shift normally ended around 6pm" Eliah replied.

Once the small chat end, both of them walk away and Eliah continue with his work. Since not much of customer in the shop currently, he cleans up the furniture again even though the place is already clean.

As the working environment is harmonious between the colleague and employer, most of the staff here really treat their work heavily since a happy working environment can improve the workplace productivity. Said by some of the article that Eliah read before.

After few days, his Grip skill is available again. Eliah decides to operate with the same method as previously again which is to absorb stat from some thugs in club while they are drunk as this prove as less risky. He is not strong enough to absorb stat from wild animal that having better stat. Since the race will be on the early next morning, Eliah did not have much time to waste and will need to absorb the stat as early as possible to have enough rest before the race

Once he had close the shop, he quickly goes to his room and change his clothes to t-shirt and jeans wear a sneaker. He rushing to another club nearby called as 'Midnight Heaven' which are belong to another gang. This time Eliah target is from the gang member that always drink there and responsible for the place safety.

After 35 minutes of walking, he arrives at the club and step into it without waste any time. The place is quite crowded as of now since it was Friday and more people willing to spend their time outside as they did not need to go work tomorrow.

Eliah spotted one group of people that drinking around the corner which particularly quite stand out due to the noise they make. Eliah confirm that one or two members in the group is a gang member based on the information that he had gather previously. Therefore, Eliah assume that all of the group member is part of a same gang and decided to absorb their stat from them. Same old style, Eliah walk into them pretending that he is drunk and try to having cheers with them. He stumbles a little bit and lean to one of the guys there. One of the member grab his hand and try to push him away.

"Piss of you bastard or we will kill you" the person who grab his hand try and chase him away rudely.

Since the opportunity is there, Eliah activate his skill once he observes the man having quite good stat compare to his previous target.

He walks away from the club and start to jog heading to his house since he will need to rest before the race on the next morning which was schedule start around 5.30 am. Since now is already midnight, he only had a very short time to rest. Hence he jogs faster to reach his house.

Once he arrives at his house and stay at his room, he starts to look into his information to confirm the amount of stat that he manages to absorb.

He quite satisfied with the harvest and decides to allocate most of his free stat to Agi and Sta to improve his running ability. Since his aim is to win the race and achieve a really good time so that he can attract company representative attention. Even though the company is only selling sport equipment and not responsible to develop any athlete, at least they might have some kind of connections with other people or team that appreciate a talent for them to develop which by luck will notified them for his good time.

He goes to sleep once he complete his stat allocations. Now his stat is looking good enough since Agi and Sta is might already reach to a level where the number is high enough to compete with some of the professional or maybe better.
