New Emperor Of Ghouls

On a barren wasteland, where rulers lost their powers, Greed, Fear and disgust brought down what once was a prosperous race. All that is left was,

Destruction.

Absolute destruction.

Mutilated corpses, ruptures and deep pits lay everywhere.

A young handsome man stood in the middle of the battlefield surrounded by billions of human soldiers. Covered from torso to feet in blood-red armour filled with shallow marks from all kinds of weapons, his blood-red eyes flickered with a bright light as the red tentacles extended from his back lay limply on the ground.

"Brother Yi, give up please. The entire sacred ghoul race were slaughtered. Your home world was destroyed. You don't have to fight anymore." The pleading voice came from the general mobbed with sorrow. "I tried, I really tried but…"

"Enough Alexander, I do not want to hear your excuses. You and those filthy humans will pay for what you did to my people." After Zhong Yi all the soldiers visibly tensed up. They were in the presence of a monster who just sentenced the human army to death.

Even though Yan Zhong Yi's spirit energy was running dangerously low, he still felt like he could slaughter them all. The warrior pride ingrained deep within his soul rendered him unable to give up without taking half of the humans with him. If not for him, then he would kill them for all the women, children and elderly. For all the fathers and brothers that died on the battlefield alongside, fighting till their last breath.

With that thought in mind, Zhong Yi fully released all his killing intent, directing it towards the horde of humans. He revolved the sacred scripture like an extra limb. The ease he slipped into cultivating showed the infamous talent of sacred royals.

"Stop him, right now!" Shouted Alexander in fear.

But it was too late. One of the reasons why the sacred ghouls were so feared was for this specific reason above many others. The Sacred Scripture. Catered towards Ghouls only, it allowed them to absorb spirit energy at a speed unmatched by conventional cultivation methods.

He felt his body being saturated at a fast rate. However, he would kept revolving the scripture even when he couldn't absorb no more. His meridians were breaking under the immense pressure of the wild energy being absorbed into his body.

"Kana, this may be the last time we ever fight together. release all the limitations set on you by my father and absorb as much as you want. I want them to remember why we Sacred Ghouls are so feared. I will be their nightmare !" commanded Yan Zhong Yi .

The blood armour flickered before a soft voice emerged in parts. "Ya…do…..you c….anot….."

"Don't worry Kana, if anything a demigod classed armour like yourself wouldn't be harmed at all by their pitiful attempts to kill me "

He charged toward his enemies at the human eye couldn't follow. Tearing through them like paper, Yan Zhong Yi destroyed all of the enemies in his path. Kana would flicker with a red hue from all the blood and heavenly energy she absorbed, supplying a quarter of it towards him as his energy levels dropped very quickly.

Despite being surrounded on all sides, Zhong Yi killed any within his eye site. When his landed om someone, the killing intent would make them freeze, giving him the chance to kill them in the most brutal way possible to avenge every soul that died at the hands of the greedy, selfish humans.

*2 hours later*

Yan Zhong Yi felt he had reached his limits. His veins were on the brink of being destroyed from the chaotic energy flow within his body. The flow of his blood and aura was all over the place. But, he still carried on fighting.

After killing the cannon fodder, he looked forwards Alexander, who looked back with a strange calm for a general who had his whole army slaughtered before him.

"Brother Yi, I'm sorry for what happened but your race can no longer be allowed to exist. You were too powerful and you were not human . We warned you numerous times but you never listened letting those white-eyes wolves into your back yard," sighed Alexander. "but you race has given us enough time to prepare ourselves and we are thankful for that"

The implications of what he just said caused anger to build up within Zhong Yi.

"So my people, your long time allies had to be sacrificed for you DEMONS TO LIVE"!! shouted Yan Zhong Yi with fury. Tears swelled in up within his eyes from the major betrayal he felt.

His father had been an advocate of peace, he maintained strong relations with every race and empire that he could, Ghouls had allies everywhere. The backing of a strong and always expanding empire was advantageous.

'Its because they saw us as weak, they saw that we didn't take what we wanted but negotiated, they saw that we didn't kill any that wronged us, that we didn't kill of our enemies but we let them live. Only for those ungrateful rats to scheme and plot against us.'

"Look on the bright side, you can finally get to meet the women that passed away giving birth to you ." Said Alexander trying to lighten the tense atmosphere, but the guilt was eating away at him "Brother Yi i.... ."

Yan Zhong Yi felt his body give in. he fell to his knees, but before it touched the ground. Alexander held him in place. " you told me yourself that not even death can make a ghoul submit."

Zhong Yi struggled against the demon's grip " "If you are truly regretful, promise me that any ghouls left, you will take them in and protec—"

"I went against my fathers orders and saved any young ones that I could, including your little sister. They will make comeback,especially with how she takes after you." Promised Alexander.

Zhong Yi's eyes portrayed his conflicted emotions. He didn't know whether to feel gratitude for the fact that they saved the children as well as his sister, or hatred for the fact that they conspired with the humans to completely destroy their unsuspecting allies.

"Alexander leave please! I don't want to kill you, " asked Yan Zhongyi

Alexander looked at Zhong Yi before standing up. He flew away and disappeared from sight very quickly.

"Father, you were wrong, you were so wrong and we all died for it." Whispered Zhong Yi to himself.

"*Cough* Urgh!" All the wild energy inside his body started to lose control. Running amok inside him, the energy was attacking the cells within his body causing his health the decline and not long after would be his death.

A slow agonising death.

Suddenly, the armour on his body started to convulse as if it had a heartbeat. The red hue brightened until it was as bright as the sun.

With Billions of soldiers as sustenance, Kana was using the energy to become one with energy, a being made of energy. A being on par with the gods.

All of a sudden, an old man had appeared out of nowhere and looked at the spectacle in front of him. He had long white hair and looked so skinny that he could dodge wind. But his eyes spoke of his age along with wrinkles on top of wrinkles.

'This is not good. This is bad, very bad. A being on par with us on a warpath to destroy humans could potentially destroy this entire universe.' the old man furrowed his eyebrows at the dilemma,he luckily stumbled upon

'What If ?'

The old man looked at Yan Zhong Yi closely and saw something that shook him to his very core. His eyes had widened to the size of eggs. ' No, that's not possible. That old fool had long left this world, so why woul—'

Kana was getting stronger and stronger. She could feel, she had a sense of touch and just that was enough to make her feel jubilant. the stench of blood was overpowering but she had been bathed in blood for as long as she could remember. But then something caught her attention.

Her constantly growing senses was able to perceive, a being close by but she couldn't pinpoint the specific position. However, then she heard a voice. it was emotionless and carried a pressure of sovereignty and immeasurable power.

'Such a heaven-defying spirit shouldn't exist not here, listen to me carefully young one, the heaven's will would not accept you and your master would not except you. But I have a proposition for the both of you. I could save the both of you, only with your help. I will send you and that boy to another world where you both can survive, ' the voice said to Kana.

'What's the catch, I get a feeling that's there something you are not telling me,' Kana responded. Even though no words left her mouth. An alluring voice could still be heard.

'Both you and the boy will be separated, to be reunited would depend on both of your stengths. and you b-b-both will have to restart your cultivation. Don't worry, you both will find a way back to each other, your souls are naturally attuned to each other'

'Okay, hurry up, Yan Zhongyi will die! ' Pleaded Kana

As soon as the words left her mouth, she could feel her newfound strength being drained from her. Dropping to her knees. kana's godly strength that could destroy a world at the snap of her fingers, was waning at the speed of light.

Suddenly, she felt her soul being covered in a cosy, warm cover. like a mother's embrace.

Yan Zhong Yi had never felt so helpless in his life.

Everything that he had fought for,

Were gone.

Closing his eyes, Zhong Yi waited for the inevitable come and claim him. However, even after waiting for a while, he was still conscious. Unknowingly, a golden light enveloped his body. When he did realise, the warm and cosy feeling distracted him

It was weird for him. It felt like he was being pulled out of his own body.

Not understanding his circ.u.mstances. he opened his eyes only to see his own body staring back at him with soulless eyes. His body was still covered in his infamous armour, kana. the red hue was no longer surrounding her instead the colour had reverted to a black colour, while numerous cracks decorated it.

"KANA!!" He attempted to touch her, but his hands went straight through it and he received no reaction.

Overwhelmed by guilt, he didn't take the time to check his surroundings, instead he stood there not knowing what to anymore.

That's when he felt a small nudge against his shoulder bringing him out of his thoughts. his senses returned to him allowing him to perceive a presence behind him. The presence was so familiar yet so different. His soul trembled for them, yearned for them.

The foreign feelings in him were a welcomed addition.

Slowly, he turned around to see this insanely beautiful women. She couldn't be described with words because her beauty was divine. Her existence alone seemed to complete him, like a missing piece of the puzzle.

The women ran towards Yan Zhong YI awkwardly, as if she had never walked before, But her red-eyes were full of tears. The tears brought a heart-wrenching pain to his c.h.e.s.t, even in soul form. She reached for his face and stroked it.

"Yan Zhong Yi, you are not allowed to act reckless like that ever again." Her distraught voice brought him out of his thoughts.

"Kana? is that you? " asked Yan Zhong Yi with a hint of desperation in his voice. " How did you-"

"Zhong Yi, we don't have a lot of time. Soon you will be separated from me . I'm sorry, I've lied to you about who I am I want you to know" After Kana said this she surprised him with a kiss. A chaste kiss

Before Yan Zhong Yi could ask what she meant.

he felt an otherworldly pull on his spiritual body.

"Kana, I promise you, no matter where you are. I WILL FIND YOU." Screamed Yan Zhong Yi with a burning determination in his soul, before being pulled out of the world.

"I know you will, " whispered Kana.
