New Emperor Of Ghouls

Chapter 60 - 60: Village raiding plans

The Sacred Ghoul Emperor and Prince Alucard were conversing as they walked towards the northern gate of the goblin city.

"...proud." Finished Zhong Yi.

"It puts me in a troublesome spot." Replied Prince Alucard as his expression turned conflicted. "My Generals and Officials are calling for his head and an apology from his leader."

Zhong Yi kept his face passive, on the inside, he was praising the princes acting.' If I didn't have people listening, I would've believed it.'

"I can only call an end to the alliance." the prince's facade broke for a moment from shock. "I have come to appreciate you and your efficiency. I wouldn't want to put you through so much trouble just because of one of my soldiers."

"There is no need for such drastic decisions. My people respect strength and showing them this strength will deter from undermining you anywhere."

Zhong Yi hummed as if he was considering it. "I will take your suggestion into consideration."

Other goblins were confused by the reversal. At first, it seemed like the prince was in charge and was leading the conversation. Now, the foreigner seemed like he was dismissing the prince.

Watching it was infuriating, but they couldn't do anything.

"Once again, I must thank you." Said Zhong Yi.

Prince Alucard smile strained. "You will always be welcome here. "

The prince turned and walked away to save face.

Zhong Yi and the Ghouls looked on with amus.e.m.e.nt. "Tell the others to pack up, we have much that needs to be done."

When Zhong Yi and company reached home, he called for a council. He had Wu Lin reveal everything about what happened. As expected, they were shocked to find out about the territory of the goblins and how massive it actually is.

"We will need something that will keep them preoccupied for a long time and use up manpower." Thought out loud Minister Cheng.

"They have slaves," everyone's head turned towards the Sacred Ghoul Emperor. "They have a lot of slaves, and if the other goblin clans have the same mindset, then they will have loads of slaves."

Understanding nods and devilish nods were passed around. "We will cause an uprising amongst the slaves and they keep fighting each other."

"If regions start going offline, then they will automatically think slaves were the ones who did it." Said General Cheng.

"But, the soldiers will have to move fast enough to disable the portals." Pointed out An Ming.

"They only have teleportation portals in cities and towns, meaning we only have to have ghouls in 4-7 places and with this alliance."

We can have ghoul in near every teleportation portal without them knowing any better." Excitedly said, Hong Shen.

"We have void beast at the ready to open teleportation connections to regions and send the entire army through without them knowing."

"Before that, we can attack villages. Relocate them here and have them summon more ghouls and by the time we are ready to attack them, we would have twice the amount of soldiers."

Everyone started pitching ideas.

Some were good.

Some weren't so good.

But the important thing was that everyone was putting in ideas, listening to others and adding more ideas onto them. Zhong Yi was happy, even the directors would pitch in from time to time on the logistical side of things.

"We will stick to our alliance meaning with Prince Alucard faction, so we will be targeting the clans bordering us, which are Moon Sword clan and the Crooked Jaw clan." Input Zhong Yi.

The approval in Chen Tai's eyes lightened his mood.

Seeing the man who tutored his father and his ancestors hold a favourable opinion was motivation.

"General Cheng, you will choose who will go on these village hunts. I want them ready by tomorrow morning. Each region we open up will have cleverly hidden teleportation portals for easy access and for future usage."

Nods were exchanged. "I'm pretty sure, everyone knows how bored Jian Chen has been, so we will have him be the human saviour for the slaves. We will go over the finer points tomorrow morning. You all have duties that require your attention."

The temporary throne room was emptied at his dismissal, and ahead of white hair with purple strands sprinted into the room.

He rose from the chair and knelt down; arms wide open ready to feel the brunt of her nose-dive tackle hugs. Even though he tells her not to do it, she still does know full well he will catch her.

"Daddy!" Shouted Zhong Mei as her legs left the ground. Zhong Yi moved quick enough to catch her mid-air and raise her into the air.

"What did I say about doing that, princess?" Questioned Zhong Yi with a smile on his face.

"Not to do it."

"Will you still do it in the future?"

Her face tensed as if she was actually considering it, then she shook her head. "Nope, I trust you to catch me."

He took a step back from feeling an arrow pierce his heart from the cuteness he just witnessed.

He changed the subject to force the urge of squeezing her to death in a bone-crushing hug. Zhong Yi put her down and held his calloused hands out as they walked outside the Temporary Royal Residence.

She reached for his with her small hands and swung them back as she skipped.

"How was school?" The construction of the school wasn't finished, but Zhong Yi didn't want his daughter uneducated any longer, so he had Chen Tai tutor her along with her friend, Xiao Huang.

He coudn't say no to her, when she begged him to allow him to learn with her. Conditions were put in place to ensure she wasn't messing around in the class.

"Me and Xiao Huang were were taught easy stuff. Like writing, music, maths and some tedious things."

"Tedious?" Zhong Yi raised an eyebrow at her vocabulary.

"Yh, teacher Chen said we were genius' when we answered all the questions." She skipped swaying his arms with her as they walked around the town.

The construction was coming to a finish. Large stone walls were constructed around the town with an abundance of space to add more buildings. The palace was almost finished with only several more rooms left to furbish, and the streets were widened in preparation for the future.

"...He learnt how to play a song and asked me to sing for him..."

"Who asked you to sing for him?" Sharply interrupted Zhong Yi.

"Weren't you listening, Daddy?" She pushed her lower lip into a cute pout as she released his hands.

"No, I heard everything." He recovered quickly.

"Then who was it?" Asked Zhong Mei. Her eyes sparkled with a cunningness he didn't she could have.

"Xiao Huang?"

"So you were listening." Her expression turned to happiness as she hugged his leg.

"That little sh..."

"What?"

"Nothing princess."
